all members of the American swim team “suffered from asthma” and many members of the Australian swim team “suffered from insomnia for many years.” Therefore, these individuals were allowed to take banned drugs. We really should raise our middle finger in respect for these team members who “fought steadfastly against their illness” and persevered in competition “despite their illness” and still won medals, even gold medals!

Yes, the Olympics Committee is cheating when they take so much blood from the Chinese athletes that it lowers their hemoglobin, which carries oxygen, hence impacting their endurance not to mention that they are waking up the athletes in the middle of the night to take this blood. For normal people, taking this much blood wouldn't alter our performance but for people who a sec is a difference between gold and silver, then this is a way the Olympics Committee cheating.

It's weird that Michael Phelps is now an advocate of Anti doping when he retired, but not when he was an active swimmer. Why nobody questioned Phelps 's record? When a white person got gold medals, they are being glamorized, when a Chinese person got gold medals they must be using drugs.
What about those new sports like surfing that catered to Western countries? So landlocked countries on Africa continent could not even have a fair chance to even try the sport. This not fair play which is The Olympics mottos, also the IOC canceled some weight lifting events because China was dominating. Yeah, nobody questioned Phelps when he got his 8 golds since he the all American and self righteous. Not a surprise U.S is afraid that China is going to surpass them in sports like in every other field.

Be careful not to blame the citizens as they are different than the huge force that is Western Media. Just as no one should confuse Chinese citizens with the Chinese government. I was told that it is common that many US top athletes have health issues, namely, asthma, cardiac problems & depression syndromes. They only need to apply to the relevant authority for exemptions to the anti-doping rules in order to take their drugs to treat their health problems & their chances of receiving approvals are 60% on average. (Approval chances for Chinese athletes are less than 1/10 of those of their US counterparts.) These drugs help them to breathe more oxygen into their systems & who knows if such will enhance their match performances or not. Surprisingly, when these US athletes retire from sports, their illnesses all disappear. Phelps is only 39 years old & he looks like in late 50. Why is that?

@@JohnSmith-sm7ez because there’s a limit to human abilities. The fact is that China sends less athletes than many European countries and Americans mean their gold per Athlete competing is higher. So in fact China does send higher quality athletes than the Europe or the US.

@@MarkMiller304that’s just bullshit. China has more people than the US and the EU combined, if the EU were it’s own country they would be earning triple the amount of metals from China. It wouldn’t even be fair. Learn logic before making such a claim.

@@seriessplayer62747 what does total population have to do with anything? We are comparing the number of athletes sent. You’re saying China should have sent 2000 athletes then, does that even sound reasonable to you? There’s a finite amount of resources a country has to spend, you talk like money just appears out of thin air and you can just send as much people as you like.

It is obvious the underhanded way of US in undermining Chinese swimmers.
Look at the underperformances of Qin Haiyang, Li Bingjie and Zhang Yufei, just to name a few.

Another Question. Why is that the terrorists always attack those countries where they stand up to their colonizers?? You'd think that those people would be for them, not against them.

To the extent that the US media has to create a new separate medal tally to show US at the top of the table hahahahahaha
Everyone else go by number of gold medals. the US has switched to total number of medals, regardless of quality.
