- My elantra n is finally back at a track day after a 16 month hiatus.
Other than a set of Swift spec-r lowering springs the car is pretty much same as before.
It was a 92db day so I had to close the exhaust valve at turn 5 every lap which threw me off a bit.

I haven’t seen anything from you in a while. I’ve had my N for 16 months now and still haven’t gotten it on a track yet . I give your videos credit for my purchase and only regret not having more money to put down on it.✌️
Yeah, i've been super busy with life, so it was hard for me to make youtube videos but I will try to make more contents this year. 😄
You will absolutely love the experience on the track with your N. You should definitely try it oneday!

That is great. Tied Chevy Camaro SS , beat Lotus Exige , the MK4 RZ Supra , BMW 135i, Golf R, Nismo 370 Z , STi and lancer EVO's also. That's pretty damn impressive . Way to go Hyundai !

I was there on a 90db and just left it in Sport exhaust, not switching back and forth, since it always turns ESC back on, or makes you press and hold the N button.
Happy to see some EN content from the OG!
I thought sport exhaust would blow sound but I guess I was wrong. Thanks for the heads up!
@elantran me too. So I ran half the day in normal. Pretty confident the pops/burbles in Sport Plus will blow sound.

It's fairly low at 7600 miles since I don't daily it. 11 track days and haven't had any issues so far. :D

전날에 가셨었군요! 원래 18일도 11시부터 비온다고 했었는데 점점 바뀌더니 결국엔 3시쯤부터 슬슬 오기 시작하더라구요. 전 mixed 그룹에서 탔습니다.

Love your videos! I took my EN for its first track day last fall and was one of the quicker cars on track while bone stock (long time sim racer and AutoXer)
For the 2024 season I picked up some light weight 18s, RE71RS tires and some camber bolts.
I’m joining a local club this 2024 season which will host 14 track days across 4 different tracks.
I had a question for you, what oil do you recommend running?
I daily drive the car and been running Amsoil 0W20

Have a busy track season planned for my N this year. Wanted to ask you what oil weight do you run in yours?
I run 0w-40 Amsoil.
@@elantran Do you run the same oil for the street as well? or do you switch for the track? is 0W-40 a common oil to run amongst ENs on track? I ran Amsoil Signature series 0W-30 last year for a couple of track days, do you think that oil is sufficient as well?
@@AaronMirk I run 0w40 all the time but I rarely drive my n on the street. I think if you daily your n and track it occasionally 0w30 should work just fine but if you push the car hard all the time or use it on the track most of the time 0w40 will be better for sure.
@@elantran Probably doing 6-8 track days this year so I think I'll stick to the 0W-30 and change often.
Have 14 events on the calendar but I won't be able to attend them all as we have a newborn, which is another reason the EN was perfect for me, it does it all!
Do you not use NGS?
Sadly, manual doesn't have NGS. :(
