- Today Folks I am going to give you a full review and analysis on the 2008 Nissan Titan. I am going to give you pros and cons for you to see if this truck still holds up in 2021!
My father, who recently passed away wanted me to have his Nissan Titan pickup. It was a 2005 and only had 44,000 miles on it. I am currently having it completely restored. It took me a few months to be comfortable driving it after he was gone but I love the truck and it is my last memory of my dad. Can't wait for it to get done! God bless everyone

We have a 2008 Nissan Titan V8, long wheelbase, king cab, 4 wheel drive. It has 520,000 miles on it; and, today it is on the highway delivering furniture in Savannah, Tennessee!!! Half or more of
of the miles have been pulling a fourteen ft trailer with furniture; or, pulling a 20 ft trailer with furniiture.!!!!

Yup same here I am very happy with my 2008 Nissan Titan SE 4door crew cab. I’ve owned this beast for close to 15 years with 195000 miles on the odometer and still running strong. I’ll tell you guys one thing though I maintain my truck down to the mile.

2008 Titan LE 321,000 miles. Had to change catalytic converters and radiator that had a small leak. Power train is as good as when I bought. Thoroughly impressed with the reliability and longevity I have gotten out of it.

@@godgunsandkenny there have been some other small maintenance issues such as replacing a wheel hub but yes minimal overall and you are correct. Just some minor surface rust. Thanks for the review and the reply Kenny!

Needed to replace my Tacoma wanted a Tundra which at the time was way out of my budget. Purchased a used 2013 Titan with high mileage. This was the last year of the original version like the 2008. This truck has been solid, reliable … it’s a beast… no complaints whatsoever. Thanks for the review, great channel! Glad I found you. Cheers!

I have a 2012 Nissan Titan and I love it and it does everything I need it to do I use it for work and for the family and it is very dependable the ppl that had it before me where not the best on it but I am obsessive with my vehicles so it stands up to everything I throw at it so in my book it’s a great truck

Beautiful truck! I fell in love with Nissan when we bought our 2015 Xterra 3 years ago. I'm actually looking for a truck just like this for my husband. He misses having a pickup and I would love to find a slightly older Titan or even Frontier that I could just pay cash for in the same red color! We actually have a friend who had a newer model Titan (I think it was a 2018) and that thing gave him nothing but problems. Finally, after sinking thousands of dollars into it and constantly being at the dealership for repairs, he got rid of it, so they definitely aren't made like they were in the 2000s! It really is a shame. It seems like these older trucks and SUVs are just so much more reliable than the newer ones!
if i were looking to buy a new truck i wouldnt im like you are, the old is better, more reliable i mean nobody makes them like they used to,
We never buy bnrand new vehicles! They start losing value the minute you drive them off the lot! We bought our 2015 Xterra in 2018 and it's been amazing!

I recently got a 2008 titan with 204k on the dash. I almost didnt get it till i test drove it and it blew me away. It was all beat up but the engine is still in its prime.

I believe the armada is about the same engine, and I've seen one of those with 440,000 miles!

Wow, that is SUPER low mileage for a 13-year-old truck! My 2015 Xterra has twice that! You're going to have that truck for many years!

Yep I own a 2004 Titan, it has 243.k an runs like a clock, I drive it daily, everything works on it, only the paint is a issue, great truck,

love this video. aside from the small mishap I've had since buying the truck, like changing the driver side wheel bearing (i bought truck, 2010 se crew cab, im second owner, with 65k miles, has 305/60/18 tires) so it wasn't really a problem for me but I know for a fact this truck will last me ages if i just keep up on regular maintenance. Love my murdered out lifted titan!

2007 516000 miles changed starter,waterpump,front wheel bearing assemblies, thermostat. Not bad. And my air still works lol

@KennyReviews1 The newer Titans have pretty much the same set up mechanically. The transmission is different but the motor has just been tuned up a bit. Also with the new design the approach angle off-road may not be good as the older one, and they are still made in Canton MS

Great video and presentation in my opinion sir! These trucks are indeed something special in the dependability reference simultaneously in comparison to the toyota tundra 4 liter and 5 liter v8. Now I'd like to point out that my family and I are gm truck families but my dad has a 2006 titan v8 crew for his company truck with around 262,000 on it and I have a 2004 tundra v8 with 250,000 as my run around truck and both are Greek gods in my opinion but the frame and bodies are to be watched carefully on both depending on location ofcourse.. now, im not criticizing anyone for claiming victory over gm or Ford but I've also owned and still own a 98 z71 350 1500 with 242,000 and a 2011 chevy 2500hd 6.0 with 205,000 and these 2 Trucks are just as bulletproof as they get with more solid frame and undercarriage! I've never owned a Ford or Mopar truck so I can't honestly speak on behalf of those products so I won't lol!! Either way, I feel confident as you should in the choice of truck you have with alot of life left! Goodluck, happy holidays and God bless!

I had a 2005 king cab. Loved it. Had a nissan Armada as well. Great trucks but the truck you're showing has the infamous exhaust manifold leak. You can hear it. The only major problem is with the catalytic converters. When they go they blew fist back into the engine, killing the engine. They fixed this issue in 2016. I'm looking for another used one now. I know if it has 100k or more, change the cats and this truck will last you a long time.

howdy Kenny. I got my late brothers 2005 5.6 se titan to use as a work truck. original engine is at 200K and purring like a kitten,after I changed a few breakable parts. the just don't ask me about where my new starter moter is located. surely its not under the intake manifold. Too bad Nissan is retiring this beast. Keep an eye on your rear differential.

I had 2006 offroad edition , 2008 pro4x and i currently have 2014 pro4xz it 287,000 , my 06 275 k and my 08 20000. Ive never had any power train issues. Just wheel bearing brakes and tires

01 F150 with 370k miles. I want a used Titan for my next truck. They don't make them like they used to.

I love your enthusiasm lol!! They are great trucks. Probably not as durable as you think but certainly good trucks if you take care of them.
I daily drive a 2013 Titan and it’s been a great truck.
They came out in 2004. Not 1999.
In all honestly a 2021 is probably more durable than a 2008. The 1st Gen Titan which was built from 04-15 had quite a few bugs to work out the first few years. Weak differentials and undersized brakes were 2 big problems that were mostly addressed by 2008.

The development of Titan started in 1999, and the final product came in 2004. I have 5 TITANS for my construction business I will buy more Titans if I need them.

I got 2008, has oil leak around filter , air stopped cooling, other than that, it a fine truck

That's a easy fix, need to just replace the o ring behind the oil filter.theres aill kinds of u tube videos showing you how to do it

I wish he would have said something about the issue with the coolant system leaking into the transmission and the quality of the 4x4 function with this many miles.

And the manifold issue and the axle seal failure but I still think the Titan is better than a Chevy

Just got a 08 nissan titan with only 80k miles beyond happy with it beats the 06 ram 1500 hemi i had which was crap engine popped i also have a 05 slk 55 AMG world of troubles

Funny..hmm if you watch reviews by mechanics they advise avoiding these trucks for various reasons...percentage-wise they claim many problems...either their advice/experience is incorrect or tlexceptions exist no matter what the make/model/year being considered. I would have to conclude that any vehicle with over 200k miles is bound to have issues with reliability,durability,etc. Expect to have to put $$ into it to get it into shape.

thank you SIR for your comment, if i may give my advice to you,before you buy, i would go over it with a fine tooth comb. from end to end, i would ask a ton of ??????????s, this is a really good truck, but depending on the year i think i would debate that price down a bit if i could, good luck, god bless,

How good is at the gas pump?
thank you my friend for your comment, i have to say it has a V8 engine its not near as hard on gas as some of the other models, now one must realize it cant compete with a 4 cylinder, god bless,

I have the same its a great truck only thing I don't like is the gas mileage it gives you
Nissan trucks, body on frame SUVs and sports cars are good. The Nissan CVT economy cars are just junk.
