You absolutely deserve commission- I bought this as a direct result of your review
Same 😂
Same
Same here, and I’m unboxing now 😅
As did I just now lol
Hi everyone could one of you possibly tell me what size portafilter is? I’ve been doing some research and I can’t seem to figure out what size it is!!! Thank you in advance
I found you because I bought the machine. Very impressive review. I feel much better prepared for my first use. Awesome job! Cheers!
When I tell you this is the BEST TUTORIAL I HAVE EVER SEEN🎉 made me using my machine so easy!! Thank you !!🙏
I never would have figured this machine out without you! 😂 Thanks!!
Best black Friday buy of 2023!
I bought this machine and am looking forward to it. I have never used a machine like this before so I was hoping to find a good video on how to use it, I am so happy I found this video!! I love the step by step.
Whew! Perfect timing! I just got this machine for Black Friday and was kinda scared it would be too confusing to use. Thanks for all the visuals and stats!!
Thank you for the video. I bought this machine and I was having trouble with getting the milk container out. After watching your video I learned the trick and much more.. Thank you 🙏🏻
Excellent Video !
Just bought this exact machine about 45 minutes ago.. Just now opened the box.
Super Glad I found your video !
You explained everything Perfectly !
You answered every question I could possibly think of. Awesome !
Glad I could help!
You’ve convinced me! I’m gonna buy one when I get off work if my local store still has them! I’ve been wanting an espresso machine for years, this definitely seems like a decent one to start with!
Thank you. I was nervous setting it up for the first time. You made it really simple. 😊
This tutorial came in clutch on this Christmas morning. Especially the tip about settling the water reservoir repeatedly before the priming process. I couldn’t figure out what I was doing wrong, and that tip wasn’t in the manual. Merry Christmas!
Thank you very much for this video, I learned to operate my new machine. I am in love with it.
Awesome and timely review. Thanks for sharing. Another one sold based on your review.
I’ve been searching for a beginner espresso machine (Santa is bringing us one this year). I think I’m gonna give this one a try as the milk frothers on the other brands I’ve looked at are a bit intimidating lol. Thanks so much for the in depth review!!
Purchased! Thankyou I've been looking for a good simple all in one machine that didn't have a million options I just want nice expresso with a milk frother thankyou for this video it was certainly needed
Thank you so much for this video! I was struggling! Best Black Friday Purchase!
I just got mine a couple days ago. Your video explained everything I wanted to know. Especially the part about cleaning the head and cleaning the frother without having to remove the milk. Thank you.
You're welcome
Great machine for the price. Coffee taste amazing.
Good review!
Thank God for this. I bought this after my Keurig started acting up, but haven't opened it because it looked complicated
We've been enjoying this coffee machine since we got it.
Thank you so much for this video😭 I was this🤏🏽 close to returning it I thought it was broken some things weren’t working properly! I watched your video and it was a great help!
Hey, JaD, I followed your instructions with the Gourmia (my first such machine) and, I must admit, it makes a great cappuccino. With where I live, the economics of the area mean that this sort of thing is out of reach of a lot of people, but this machine is affordable and makes great drinks and tastes worlds above anything in a convenience store by leaps and bounds. Your review and supplemental instructions were very much appreciated. Cheers!
Convenience store cappuccino is just a powder like Nestle Quik. It's fun but it's not coffee.
I can totally agree with the sentiment, lol. Cheers, Larry!@@TheLarryBrown
Thank you for the video
I was unable to find one video like this during Black Friday, so I bought it and ended up to be a great coffee machine
will last about 33 days
Excellent review. Thank you for easy buying decision making. ❤
Love this vid! Helped me out so much with setting it up!
Thank you. I saw it on sale and purchased. Great review ❤
You are so welcome!
Thank you so much for such an informative and helpful video!
You are so welcome!
This video is on repeat. Thank you!
thank you because i was honestly beyond confused reading the instructions. i followed their tutorial & they definitely left some steps out that helped!
You’re welcome 😊
@@JustADad Could you help me enjoy such a wonderful machine? When I turn on my machine, I put it in cleaning mode, filling the water tanks, settling the tanks well by pressing the option. Cleaning does not carry out its process, it just beeps and comes up with all the options, what else should I do?
Thanks so much! I just bought one and this video saved me so much time in setup and explanation of how to.
AWESOME! Following your instructions, I just made my first cappuccino and latte! ^_^
thanks for helping me and my impatient dad put this together !! life saver
Glad it helped!
Thanks for this video, I've been struggeling between med and fine grinding to find the sweet spot.
You got this!
Awesome video. Thank you for explaining everything so well!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you for this informative video! It really saved me a lot of time of trying to figure it out myself!
You're very welcome
Thanks for teaching me about that little notch on the frothing part.
Very helpful video! Thank you for making it 😎👍
I have become almost addicted to this machine! I recently ran out of milk and haven't had time (or - lately - ability) to go get more so I'm relying on the Americanos for now.
I just saw the video now I want 1 hope I can find 1 Sunday or Cyber Monday thanks for the video
Thank you!!!! I got my machine setup ❤️❤️❤️
I just purchased mine today !!! So excited to use it. Thanks for your help !!!
Look like tons of people bought this machine for black Friday from Walmart, including me!! , but there was no video with reviews. Thank you so much for the excellent review. Even tricks to how clean the filter!
your review was excellent!!
Looks like a great espresso maker for a great price! 👍🏻
Thanks
This video helped me a lot
Great video. Bought the machine, watched the video, all excited, go to make a cup.... mine doesn't work. Story of my life. 😂 I would just exchange it but funny story, my mom tells me today that they got me a ninja espresso maker for xmas --so just sending this one back.
Excellent video sir!! This was my xmas present to myself. Got it unpacked, followed manual. Confused bout a cpl things, so watched the 1st short video came to. Welp, i was even more confused after, so i went to 2nd video which was urs. U, my kind sir shld b 1st. I agree with lady who said u shld get a commission. Great job, explained thoroughly while showing each step. Thank u & Merry X-mas! I'm gonna go make me a cappuccino. 😊
Glad it helped!
Thanks for helping me out😊❤
I bought one and it’s really great!
I got this and really like how it works it is a good coffe maker only issue I am having is there is not a lot of milk coming out of the frothier, when I run the clean cycle it works fine a lot of water comes out but for some reason not wiht the milk, I do use almond milk but I can’t see why that would be the problem when the consistency of Almond milk is almost like water
Just made my first cup thank you
Just bought this machine Friday. So far I love it , I hated those red stickers 😅...
Thanks for informing me about non-pressurized filter baskets, I’m brand new to espresso and I’m getting really tired of wiping grounds off the shower head so I might give it a shot
You are do welcome
You're still going to have to wipe the shower head regardless of what basket you use. Wiping the shower head with a paper towel literally takes 5 seconds, so if you are "really tired" of doing that, you must be really tired indeed.
Excellent video , thank you .
You are welcome!
I got one too and I love it but the milk frother is a bit of a pain to remove. I been wanting a new espresso machine, my Cuisinart has seen better days so I figured for $50 I had nothing to lose.
My Walmart had this for $30 clearance on Christmas Eve. Great machine. The scoop/tamper has a hexagonal cutout on it that looks like a wrench, I was trying to figure out if it has a purpose or maybe a place on the machine where it might attach? The manual was barebones , but it got me going, you're video was helpful in filling in some gaps.
Glad it helped
Returned mine. My wife bought it a couple weeks ago. Tried to do a double and barely a shot dispensed. Tried it again and same result. Sticking to my AeroPress
Hello Sr.
Thank you for your video!
My machine is brewing the coffee with the ratio three times higher than the spec. Single espresso std is 1 oz and I’m having 3 oz. All options are having this issue. I’m wondering if this machine has some kind of “factory reset” or not.
Brazilian coffee is always a great choice.
Thanks for sharing.
14:45 The little bit of milk you got in your Americano is milk residue left in the discharge tube from previous use. Some people might object to that.
Hi, I work at Dutch Bros. You're right, an Americano is espresso with hot water. Our water specifically runs at 190° perminently. For our milk our regular temp runs at 150°-155° and anything past that is extra hot.
I really like this machine even though there is some things I can't do, specifically tempature control and being able to set froth once you know how to play with milk is much easier then the dial
Oh also, tips for making your coffee taste like Dutch bros (for iced drinks)
Small: 8oz, double shot
Medium: 12oz, double shot
Large: 16oz, quad shot
Our scoops for flavor is 2tsp and most coffees get 1 scoup.
Cooling the drink is exceptionally important. We get your drink cool fast by having a cup filled with ice and another cup we build the drink in, once it's done we pour the coffee back and forth and that makes the drink cool super fast.
Another thing, try to use half and half if you get a breve, chocolate milk if you get mochas. And we use only Torani brand for our flavors.
Lol, you are wanting those features on a $50 machine
@LuisC202 I'm used to a $1200+ commercial machine, I don't really know how the at home systems work so much
For sure! I'm also very impressed by the performance, can't wait to try non-pressurized coffee baskets on this machine next week.
And yes, the dial is very confusing, I usually set it at minimum, but I've found you can manually brew 1 or 2 espresso shots and then put a frothing pitcher and press the froth button, and catch enough milk/froth to get the right ratio of coffee to milk and foam, once in the pitcher you can tap and swirl the jug to get a more even consistency and then pour on your espresso cup.
The machine surprisingly does achieve some microfoam!
@Kingdannet4043… Thank you for your input because those stats for the drinks you make are helpful when trying to make our at home concoctions!… Thank you so much!
I watched your other video, which saved me from the frothing disaster. I didn't watch this one until I had set up the machine. Yeah, it took a few times pulling the tanks to get it to prime. I guess if I'd watched this one I would have spent less time getting things primed. So far this has been a surprising little machine. I have a Gevi 20 Bar that I have been hand grinding for (Baratza Encore ESP due in very soon) and using a bottomless portafilter. That's still my go-to for nicer beans and getting serious. On that, I do the whole weigh the charge, WDT, leveler, tamp, and do the steaming with a pitcher and the wand.
However, this seems like a pretty nice machine for quick cappuccinos for an Americano using ground coffee with the pressurized portafilter. I'll use this for when I want some decent coffee quicker. Which will probably get used more. ;) This machine will make it so I can have a few guests over and give them some "fancy" options without having to work so much. Lol. EDIT to add: Btw, the 51mm bottomless portafilter for my Gevi will fit and work with this. In case anyone is wondering if they can do a little upping their espresso game.
We just got for $39 great video dad.
Great video thanks
13:45 Just wipe coffee gounds off of the water screen under the hood of the machine with a wet paper towel and don't burn yourself.
Thank you!!
I bought it and love it
Thanks, mother was driving me crazy about the display not coming on, it doesn't fully show until you push that milk container in, fully push it in. Told her to watch a youtube video and figure it out, as you can see who watched the youtube video. 🙄
I wish you had done it with a finer grain and checked it out as well. Wanted to see the difference. Overall great review! I bought this on black Friday as well and excited to try it.
If you could share, let us know how it does with a finer grain. I'm getting mine tomorrow and am unsure what coffee to get for it
@Jonnymg4 I'm gonna end up just doing what he said and do medium because I don't have a grinder so I'm gonna go to Starbucks to grind it
@@OneReligionOneIslamYou will get better results with a fine grind.
There's no need to dry the pod before putting in the ground coffee. You're just going to get it wet in a second anyway.
i got it for 20 because someone returned it at walmart. I hope it still works
If you wanted to add things like vanilla or other syrups/flavorings to a particular drink, how do we know how much to use? I.E. How much equals a "pump's worth" so to speak?
Awesome review.
Glad you enjoyed it
@@JustADad subbed
Nice syrup dispenser! Is it a dispenser or a brand of syrup that comes in that bottle?
If you dont get all the icons, the frothing part is not all the way in on the bottom. It was driving me nuts until i saw this wonderful video. Thank you!
Thank you so much! I had just backed it back up to return it, because only 2 icons were on. Can't wait to try it in the morning.
Can you link your clear mugs?! They’re really nice!
This espresso machines is very similar to Chefman Barista Pro with few cosmetic changes. I think manufacturer for all these cheap espresso machines is just one company.
Same thing I was thinking. I sent my husband to buy this one thinking it was the chefman brand. Hoping it works just as well!
Came here because I just received the machine from the Black Friday Sale and this video confirmed the one I have is broken. 😢 it will not froth the milk. Ran the clean cycle first and it did not dispense any water. Instead, water came out of the bottom of the machine. I hate to say I have to return it.
Great review! Very helpful! Thank you :)
I bought this 2 months ago and just today I realized that the owner manual box where it tells you Oz I thought that's the oz it was going to make but I read it saids recommended mug size 😂😂🤦♂️
Saludos desde Ciudad de Guatemala 🇬🇹
I bought this exact machine but it didn’t come as clean as yours did… there’s some white residue in the double and single shot and the handle… also when i turned mine on, it didn’t show all the touch buttons. Is mine defected ?
What size is the portafilter on this machine? I bout one used and the tamp is missing. From looking on Amazon, there are many sizes. I appreciate any help!
Does anyone know what to do when nothing will come out of the water reservoir. It will slightly froth but no water has left the arm….
Can you explain how to use the manual mode?
What type of pressure (Bar/psi) does this machine put out? For $50, I’ll give it a try if the output is similar to a $$$ machine.
15 bar
All pump driven home machines are 15 bar.
10:00 I've yet to see any machine where the puck doesn't end up wet. That would be a real trick.
How do I get the milk holder back out after it snaps in
Hi, your video was very helpful I had a question can you use regular coffee flavored creamer or almond milk instead of regular milk?
Thank you!
Yes
Not recommended to use flavored anything with your coffee equipment. Better to just make plain coffee and then flavor it with a shot of syrup in the cup, as dad did here. That's because those coffee flavorings are very strong, smelly, and cloying and may leave a permanent aroma on your equipment. That said, almond milk, sure that will work but may not foam as well as hoped. Be aware that milk substitutes are sweet and so don't add any sugar until after tasting the final mix, and then go easy on the sugar. Milk substitutes, yes. Coffee creamers, probably not. That's because coffee creamers are designed to only use a small amount per cup of coffee and this foamer will put way more than that. I think that would come out inedible.
When I press any function other than espresso, the function light blinks continuously and does not begin to brew. What am I doing wrong?
What's the puck diameter? Is it the standard 58mm? I want to buy a tamper for mine
Love the video! I followed your instructions word for word. Gave it a shot with both a double latte and a single latte and it only produced a drink about 4oz then 3oz. Any idea what’s going on?
Happened to me, turn it off and on, and reset the milk container, should work now
also check your pressurized coffee filter. I saw on the net that some are defected which could get you less than what you should get. Try it first without the filter and measure how much you get to be sure it is the filter and not something else.
How does one "kinda touch" the display?
On mine the froth didn’t work, any suggestions as to what I can do to make it work.
I bought one and it came today
Fascinating.
Hi! Im now experiencing a weird problem! The machine is frothing waaaay pass 16oz for the double latte option, on min or max settings, its been really frustrating.
Nevermind, found the issue, don't put the brother dial at the Maximum setting or it will just dump warm milk into your cup, for proper frothing you need to keep it between 2 to 6pm, you'll feel some resistance while turning the dial which means it's working!
My favorite espresso is Americano without the water 👌
That's a joke, isn't it dad?
@@TheLarryBrown yes daughter
Need to know how to clean the area above the coffee pressure. I touched mine and it was full of coffee grounds that's going to get clogged.
Uh...like....wet paper towel?
I had already bought this but I was wondering if you can buy extra accessories? I specifically wanted a little rim to put over the head so the grind doesn't fall, a different head/portafilter, and one of those wire whisk things but was unsure if the size on this is standardized or if it's proprietary
Cheap machines don't typically have additional accessories that you can get.
@ThorMaxx awww. I was hoping there was universal sizes and that this would have some of them
i tried to use an expensive filter and handle from my other machine that looked pretty much the same size but it didn’t fit in. Didn’t want to force it because i was afraid to break it. For the price it’s not bad at all. I have been using in my office instead of going to the local coffee shop near my work 😊
@chemieng Fair. I eventually did look a lot of this up. It seems there are standard sizes? I believe this machine has a 51mm portafilter and you need to get a 49mm tamper and distributer but I also haven't bought it yet to confirm it
No you're not going to get any of that. I don't know why you need a wire whisk. You're going to make some mess with grinds no matter what you try, so rather than looking for a non-existent fancy gizmo, let a paper towel be your friend.
