- As promised this is the key you need
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Shell Extensions
Then Create a Key called Blocked
Then Create a String Value called {e2bf9676-5f8f-435c-97eb-11607a5bedf7}
If this does not work then you could try
Click on Start Button then Type Command
When Command Prompt Appears in the Start Menu, right click on it then left click Run as Administrator
Then Enter the following command
reg.exe add "HKCU\Software\Classes\CLSID\{d93ed569-3b3e-4bff-8355-3c44f6a52bb5}\InprocServer32" /f /ve
Press Enter then Close the command prompt and restart the computer
In the blocked folder the number in the video and the number in the notes is different.
One is {e2bf9676-5f8f-435c-97eb-11607a5bedf7} one is {e2bf9676-5f8f-435c-97eb-11067a5bedf7}, it's the 11067 figure and 11607, which is correct?
I would go with the one in the video!
Well done. Really appreciated. Is there a way to make the toolbar as narrow on windows 11 as windows 10?
Yes I have a video coming out soon which shows you how to make the taskbar smaller, with a registry fix, hopefully should be out in the next few weeks
This didn't work for me because I already have a blocked file for my Classic Start button. I hope you can help me... my explorer has +/- symbols and a Horizontal bar, instead of the traditional > symbol for each file. Help! Thank you...
I am sorry I am not sure about your system as you have obviously made customisations already!
Didn't work. None of it. Watched video twice before attempting any of it. Watched video on a separate laptop as I went through the procedure on the laptop in need of the fix. When the 1st 'fix' failed. I proceeded with the 2nd 'fix'. Nothing changed. At all.
I just want to have a 'New Folder' icon in Windows 11. Not the one they have now that requires you to click twice to create a new folder. It is such a PIA. Is there a way to bring that back without bringing back the Classic Windows 10 Ribbon? It's the only thing I want. Why did they feel the need to change something that was working perfectly. Way to go Microsoft!!
Yes I am not keep on changes you can try holding down control shift then tap N for a New Folder.
@@cwtek1 I'm looking for a 'New Folder' icon only but thanks for the tip.
The only way is to use Startisback to make the size of the taskbar smaller As far as I know..
There is a registry fix to make the taskbar smaller I have a video coming out soon which shows you how to do that.
psst .. those 'forward slashes' are back slashes.
i love em 😁
Windows 7 did not have the ribbon. Windows 8 added this.
This video gets the Windows 10 Ribbon back!
@@cwtek1 i was saying since in the beginning you said "the classic windows 7 ui" or something
@@lemonadesnake oops my mistake meant Windows 10
