Heartwarming to hear that you all made it. Well done. Interesting too that, although this is a far cry from influenza, Covid appears to be at least as random, erratic and unpredictable as earlier infectious diseases against which we either were vaccinated or enjoyed some degree of natural immunity, other things being equal. In time to come social, medical and scientific historians will have a field day documenting “what really happened”. In the meantime, thank you, stay safe and keep on keeping well.

so so so happy you mentioned fluctuating taste and smell. I currently am on day 7 and I feel practically 95% me but I'm experiencing the taste and smell going in and out. I really think its just bad congestion. I feel so stuffed up without any mucus drainage. I'm double vaccinated as well and it just sucks this whole thing is anxiety inducing. Even being careful, staying home, wearing a mask, distancing, someone brought it to me 😭😭 Still very happy to have stumbled across your video, its relieved a lot and was very reassuring, stay blessed, praying for everyone infected

It's like every single muscle has been punched, the fatigue horrendous, interspersed with high temperature, loss of appetite (This is good as it means your body is doing it's job. The digestive system uses up a lot of energy so by curbing the appetite it helps save valuable energy. I drank so many hot drinks. I'm currently on day 8 and still testing positive but feel so much better now...

What vaccine did you get? Did you also get the booster (3rd shot)? We also got the booster. The news in America is that if you get Covid after being vaccinated, you have almost 100% chance of not being hospitalized, ventilated, or worse. But yeah you can still get Covid, but in a milder way, and if you get Covid, you can still infect others, that's what quarantining is in for, to protect those who choose not to be vaccinated. Our hospitals here are starting to fill up again with the unvaccinated.

Here in India, we are told to have a thermometer & oxymeter handy, in case we get infected.. it’s important we check our temperature & oxygen atleast twice to thrice a day, while infected.. your oxygen should not go below 94.. The virus is unpredictable, you can go from feeling okay-ish to feeling breathless in moments ! The infection starts to worsen from day 5- 7 .. your immunity puts up a hard fight & it can in turn end up harming your body, some do well, but the unlucky ones, end up in the hospital with organ inflammation, breathless etc.. it’s called cytokine storm! The virus starts to wear off day 10 to 14! What makes you sick is the immense immunity! Make sure you eat very well, and eat healthy & nutritious especially protein rich foods throughout the infection & more importantly after.. it’s the food you eat that helps you fight the virus.. steam inhalation will keep your upper respiratory tract clear! If you have cough/cold try not to eat cold foods, because it will worsen the cough! Isolating yourself in a room for about 17 days can mess with your mental health.. do everything to keep yourself distracted.. donot read or watch about Covid 19 while isolated.. talk to your friends family! Try to walk a bit, for about 10 mins, meditate & do breathing exercises to increase your lung capacity, while isolated!
DONOT panic.. keep calm & you are on your road to recovery!

    • @SimV239
      @SimV239 2 года назад

@Niels Gambino The smell/taste will be back in about 14 days of start of symptoms.. keep monitoring your oxygen saturation atleast twice a day! use a humidifier to keep your upper respiratory tract clear! Eat home cooked warm food, drink warm water.. include fruits in your diet! Rest well & sleep well, it will give your body strength to fight the virus.. don’t over exert yourself! Keep in touch with your primary physician! You will be okay in no time😊
Do get some post-covid tests done, after you have recovered, ask your doctor regarding the same.

Thank you for your articulate description of your symptoms. I'm glad you're getting better. I have been ill with the Delta variant for the past couple of weeks - came on suddenly - the worst part was the unbearable headaches. I woke up feeling as if I were being kicked in the head and the rest of my body was being put through a mangle. My temperature went up and down ridiculously. Then the inexplicable exhaustion, needed to lie down after just brushing my teeth! My sense of taste vanished briefly, but a couple of bowls of soup with a grind of pepper tasted fine soon after (about a week after the initial attack of Covid) Thankfully I didn't need hospital treatment, so I guess mine was 'mild' Covid. Still, those headaches were unbelievable. I'm still feeling a bit weak, but coming out of it.

Thanks for posting your experience!! I am on day 21 of covid currently and the brain fog didn't let up until about 4 days ago. I would also classify my experience as 'mild' simply because I did not need medical attention, but it's truly the sickest I've been in my life.
I have a question though, hopefully 6-7 months later you can provide some hope for me if you see this. My physical symptoms are gone except the being worn out, but I still have this anxiety and restlessness and existential dread that I will never feel like myself again. Is that something you experienced, and if so, how long did it take to feel like yourself again?

    • @xviolettevendetta

@@Ghitaben1 yeah the brain fog was the hardest part for me. I still feel like I have gaps in memory from those days. Make sure you get PLENTY of rest and, even if it tastes bad, you have to eat something!! I just continued to make myself worse because I tried to live on applesauce for a week because it was the only thing that tasted okay.
Also, be prepared for your brain to go into overdrive once the brain fog goes away… I was really restless but still didn’t have energy, it was miserable. Download new games on your phone to play or plan to start a new tv show as soon as the fog lets up. Hopefully it’ll keep the restlessness and anxiety to a minimum.

Thankfully I’m all better now. My taste I would say comes and goes but the brain fog did subside within a month.
Hang in there, rest, drink tea, don’t eat or drink anything sugary and let your body do the rest.
It’s been about 2/3 months for me and I’m all better now. I also went back to work at day 10, which I still didn’t feel so great but I think it help getting fresh air and moving around. But of course, listen to your body, everyone’s different.

It seems to be the average day for hospital admittance. This should NOT be any kind of guide to anyone in deciding to attend A&E or calling 111. day 1- noticed i’m getting a fever, chills/body aches.
day 2/3: body aches, runny nose, burning sensation in my nose, loss of taste/smell.
day 4-8(now): the MOST painful sore throat & ear ache (feel like nothing i do can get rid of the pain), burning runny nose, gross cough.
good news: my sense of smell/taste is coming back.
not sure how long covid symptoms last, but this is by far the worst sickness i’ve ever had !!

My whole family and me are still in quarantine, 3 days left. We were tested positive 11 days ago. One of my brothers was in a hospital, it went to his lungs. I had headaches, tickling in my lungs that cause coughing, and my middle brother and mother were fine. We are all alright now ❤️ so glad it is almost over !!!

Great video. I am currently on day 6. I have no taste or smell. Brain fog is awful, I feel very light headed all the time (possibly from not eating much). I have not got a temperature and my O2 sats are 92-98%. It is very scary but I am trying to remain calm and rest. I am hoping my immune system will be a lot stronger after this. Taking Vitamin C and D every day and also zinc, drinking lots of water too. Praying I do not get any worse. Just because they say its mild symptoms, trust me mild is still awful. Stay safe everyone.

Covid surviver 🙆🏻‍♀️ 8 days sick at home before going to the hospital and being diagnosed with bad pneumonia from covid.. was there for 7 days… got released with oxygen .. it’s been 8 days since being released and I’m still experiencing shortness of breath and really bad body/muscle aches… and I get extremely tired fast. Has been a frustrating horrible experience.
