  • After I tested positive for coronavirus for the second time, even after being fully vaccinated & boosted, so many people asked me questions; What were my covid 19 symptoms day by day? What was it really like to have covid? Did I lose my sense of taste and smell? Today I am answering these questions and more and sharing the timeline of my family's covid testing & symptoms.

I tested positive yesterday morning and have all the symptoms you mentioned. Found your video very helpful. Thank you for taking time to share. Last year I was fighting breast cancer and beat it after half a year of chemotherapy and a mastectomy. After last year, I feel like I can beat anything. You know what’s silly? All my mastectomy pillows to keep me upright are coming in useful all over again. I compare my covid symptoms to the bone pain last year and it puts things in perspective. Thank goodness it’s just covid.

I'm fully vaccinated and boosted, but caught Covid from my niece inadvertently. She visited our home, not knowing she was infected. It started with stuffy nose, then went into sinus headache, sore throat, fever, dry cough. Only had body aches and chills for one day. Lost some taste and smell for a couple of days. Day 7 and I still feel fatigued, but all other symptoms have gone, thank goodness. I have a little bit of the dry cough still, along with a slight stuffy nose.

Hi, I'm on day 8. Still testing positive and feeling full of cold and exhausted. I'm looking forward to release. So far my husband is clear. I'm sure it's much harder to avoid sharing the germs with young children in the house. I have chronic illnesses so was dreading catching it and this is my first time. It's not been too bad though. Much like flu for day 1 and 2 then heavy cold. The worst thing is the fatigue. I'm off to look at your other content now that I've found you so in that respect covid has been a good thing!

I am single vaccinated - in March I started with a sore throat one evening which lasted a day or two lateral flow showed what I believe was the faintest of lines, although disappeared, further tests showed negative - then the usual nasal problems, blocked nose, head pressure and blocked ears - slight cough thereafter - food and drink tasteless with no smell for a few days or so - still continued to test negative on LFT - but was one of the worst head colds I'd had for a long time - not sure if it's possible to have Covid and test negative on a LFT - whatever it was, cold or covid, I didn't fancy a repeat of it.

It hit me the same exact way but I didn't panic, I started taking high doses of vitamin D3 and C and some Zinc, I kept my exercise daily routine of one hour, I just refused fatigue to get the best out of me, I also drank more water, I eat very healthy and even at 62 I have a very strong inmune system and after 2 weeks the brain fog is finally starting to go away I'm going to be fine thank God for giving the wisdom to leave a healthy lifestyle, I guess for me the toughest symptom was when I realized I was having breathing issues but I relaxed and started practicing gentle breathing exercises to get oxygen in my brain that helped a lot.

First symptom was severe pain in forehead with temperature up to 39.8. plus chills. After a couple of days, an extremely sore throat & some coughing with 'gunk'. The most unusual symptom I have are lots of cold sores (v attractive) mainly on my bottom lip, but a couple on my tongue which makes eating painful. Today is day 6. There is improvement, but still feeling unwell. I'm triple vaxed. Other half is feeling almost better today, but still testing positive and lost his sense of smell/taste almost completely. He's triple vaxed too.

Thank you for the info it's really helpful. I tested positive this morning but symptoms started last night. I did a lft last night but was negative. Now I did the lft in 2 different ways. Last night I did nasal and was neg. Did the throat this morning and was positive. Classic flu symptoms the 2 things that stand out though is night chills and sweats,1 minute freezing and shivering then over heating and the other major symptom is this pressure tension headache omg I've took all I can and the headache just won't shift. Feeling extremely tearful and so knackered just would love a few hours sleep. Other symptoms I have are a stuffy nose and sore throat. I'm fully vaccinated as I'm a high risk. I've copd and have an underactive thyroid. I stopped smoking after 31 years 2.5 years ago so hoping that will be less likely to take pneumonia. I hope this but of info helps anyone else going through covid at present. I've been trying to educate myself today. I've been so careful not to get it for over 2.5 years but I can out of luck lol x

I work in a supermarket, just got covid the first time. I have been vaccinated, I did do a test to see if it was, for my own sake, and it came back positive, I have been feeling really rough with it, bad sore throat, very heady, dizzy, fever, chills and feeling hot as well, sweaty, cough , blocked and runny nose, and just not having any energy, keep having to sit down, can't concentrate on anything, with the headaches. I know all the rules have change in the UK, though this covid does take a while to get better or at least improve for me to go back to work and normal life.

I'm NOT vaccinated. I have had Covid 3 times. The first two times it was easy peasy. Not much for symptoms. The third time I almost died. I lost 15 pounds. Sick for 4 weeks. I will tell you I've never been that sick in my life. My husband has never missed a day of work in his life. He works through cold and flu as a truck driver. He was out two weeks. We are suffering nervous system issues and severe depression. Neither of us can do anything we usually enjoy. It was absolutely hell. I wouldn't wish this on anyone. You think you're immune because you got a couple week strains you're not listening.
The bottom line is the cold and flu virus connects to receptors in the gut and respiratory system. Covid connects to ACE2 receptors. You have ACE2 in every organ in your body. Brain, heart, pancreas spleen, nervous system, lungs. Kinda like HIV. You can have your life ruined in the strangest ways. Your uneducated opinion will mean nothing to the hospital staff who have to care for you.

Hello! This is my first time at your channel and first time with corona. I first tested positive last Wednesday. I didn't feel too energetic but otherwise I was OK,then a family member tested positive an I thought I should check, low and behold... day 1 wasn't too bad, day 2 and 3 were rough, very mucusy cold (sorry tmi), day 4 was drained and coughy, day 5 today I woke up and felt good but am out of breath easily. I am a triple jabbed (2 Pfizer, boosted with moderna last November) 29 yo female. I had a bad cold the week before when i felt worse, but I think corona got inthrough the back door when my immune system was worn out. Oh, I still can't smell or taste anything. That sucks. Here's mine first time but fully vaxxed. Day 1: came down with a fever in the evening and had an upset tum. Vomited and spent the whole night moaning and groaning and weirdly had joint pain. (my knee ankle and elbow). Boneshaking chill... Daughter and I laughed about how I spilled her water because I was shivering too much.
Day 2: did a test on myself. I thought it was negative. Googled to try to work out what I had because it was weird. Head feeling. Sort of a headache. Slept a fair bit. Still feverish but better for having had paracetamol.
Day 3: I looked at the test from the day before. Saw what looked like a really faint line. (I know you're not supposed to read outside the window but whatevs). Did another test.... Within seconds.... The darkest possible line you could imagine in the test area. Still a bit feverish. Not too bad just not thinking that straight. And don't feel up to too much. Head still got this almost headache thing going on.
Day 4: temp still doesn't seem quite right. Still a bit sweaty. Bit washed out. I don't have a cough! I took half an aspirin. And that brings us up to today.
I'm fully vaxxed. I didn't check when this was uploaded hope you're all better now. I'm hoping I shake this off soon. Will do a lateral flow on Wednesday.

I got covid in February 2020. That was just a month before the shut downs here in the United States. I was sick a solid 3 weeks and then struggled to regain the use of my voice. I got one shot in September 2021 and had heart issues within hours of the shot. I substitute in two school districts and didn’t get sick with covid a second time until August 15,2022. I’m pretty sure I was exposed in the Seattle airport 3 days before symptoms and testing positive. This time I felt really sick for 3 days, which is much better than 3 weeks! On day 12 I am still dealing with swollen tonsils, ear discomfort, and a gravelly voice which is irritating but not terrible.

On wednesday I had a headache and Tuesday I had slight chills. I took it as me being over tired cause I had had 2 days off in 3 weeks. Other then the headache I felt fine. Took a test at work thinking it’s going to be negative but it was positive. Even now I feel great for the most part other then this cough. Never had a sore throat or anything else other then a headache and slight chills. I’m trying to figure out what is potentially in store for me and when I can start getting back to regular life. hank you for sharing! My household is going through Covid at this moment; My son's Mom brought it home last Thursday and had a 102 fever for about one day and then a low grade fever for four days and now she is find but still testing positive. My son is 15 yo and had a 104 to 105 fever for 40 hrs and now on the fourth day he has 101 to 102 fever. The only symptoms besides the fever is sore throat, some fatigue, nose dripping...I have been taking care of both of them for nine days and still have no symptoms ( tested negative 3 times with the Binax antigen test), and I am waiting for the results of the PCR test. We are not vacinated and their bodies recognized the virus; I guess that sore throat that came with a fever for four days was Covid's cousin...I had the H1N1 flu for 3 months in 2011 and I was very sick from it; wondering if that is the reason why I have not gotten covid yet after nine days of direct exposure.
Thank you for sharing this videos, the world can be a lonely place when one is experiencing something new and don't know what to expect. One adviced that I have at this moment is to let the fever do what nature design it to do ( I personaly do not let it go above 105 degrees); I bring it down with a small tower with vinegar and water.

Coughing, crushing fatigue, tinnitus, aching all over but no fever. No appetite. I have not had another shot and won't. I have too much sensitivity as had auto immune diseases and I'm better as went Keto. Fast forward to March 2022. Got so sick for 6 days. Horrible migraine, swollen glands, nausea, diarrhea, runny nose. Chest pressure so bad did not sleep 3 nights wheezing. Felt like heart attack pain in back. Thought I would die. Didn't care. Too tired. 3 months to regain energy. Today I'm sick with sore throat, diarrhea, bit of fever, lethargy and yesterday I biked 2 hrs. Too dizzy to drive for test. I may have a cold flu. Raspy throat. I'll isolate. Getting flack if people know I only had 1 shot. I'm too afraid of the so called vaccine. Vaccine is like polio, tetanus, measles as prevents infection and this is a drug and not a vaccine. I hope it has saved lives, my heartfelt empathy is with all of you but I can't justify getting a shot as so many people are in wheel chairs or died after shot. It's not a handful, there are many. I know Covid itself can do this too but I'll take my chances with natural immunity. These mutations are hard to deal with.

I have two out of 3 vaccines went to urgent care 2 times because of horrible Sciatica then last Tuesday tested positive for Covid thought I got it from my husband since he was drinking out of my water bottle and he had a cold but he tested negative Wednesday so I figured I must have gotten it from urgent care still feeling very run down.

I got Covid in December 2021 and it was not fun at all! At the start of Covid we immediately started acting as if we were shielding, as my mum was a full time carer for my Nanny, who was in her 80's and had Alzheimer's, my mum cleaned the offices of a domiciliary care company (I'm unemployed due to my autism) for a few hours a week and once the initial 'How the F do we get PPE' issue calmed down, they were willing to supply us with masks (having already been letting us have aprons and gloves for when we had to help my Nanny with Personal Care and Toileting) and from the beginning we were only leaving the house to buy groceries, for my mum to work or to care for my Nanny, spraying all parcels and shopping with Zoflora etc, wearing masks and gloves when we went out and such, the Mask Mandate has been away for a few months now here in Northern Ireland but we're still wearing masks when we go out, but gloves only when it's cold enough to need woollen gloves (I found by putting gloves a size too big over woollen ones, you could continue to wear your gloves in Tesco etc) When I went to vote today, I wore both a mask and a face shield as the Electoral Office of Northern Ireland (EONI) said that unless you are exempt you had to wear a mask into the polling stations (and my local polling station; a church hall; has a 'masks on' policy anyways) to bring your own writing utensil and that you'd be asked to pull your mask down for ID purposes. I wasn't asked to pull my mask down, but I was the only voter in the entire building to be wearing a mask. I'd also brought anti bacterial wipes to wipe down the voting booth with after I was done, but they had Dettol wipes in the booths anyways, so I used theirs. That is how serious I take Covid precautions. My household (my mum and I) are the only ones in my family not to be asked to shield and my mum's best friend was asked to shield as well so we did not want to give them or my Nanny covid.
My mum started working as a care worker for the company she used to clean for in December 2020 (sneaky tactic to get out of paying a decade's worth of redundancy) and switched to a different company in April 2021, incidentally one of the private companies the NHS paid to provide care to my Nanny (apparently its cheaper to pay private companies than employ more staff) and some of her clients either cannot be vaccinated or have not been vaccinated as they're bed bound and the Doctors will not do house calls to vaccinate them (its easier to be arrested than to get a face to face appointment with a GP over here right now) so even though covid had lessened, we still acted as if it was March 2020. In June 2021 my Nanny declined enough to warrant needing to move into a nursing home, who insisted upon a new mask, pair of gloves and an apron when you visited, even outside, and booking visits, later Lateral Flow Tests to be able to enter the building, apparently the Home had never had one case the whole of covid and was super cautious. Which suited us as when my Nanny developed sepsis in May 2020, the family were more worried about her getting covid whilst in hospital than the sepsis!
On the 3rd December 2021 my Nanny passed away at the age of 86 and her funeral was on the 16th December 2021, everyone who attended (Both my Uncles, their wives, several brother/ sister in laws from both sides, my Great Aunt, one of her daughters, two of my Nanny's neighbours from when my mum and Uncles were kids (since found out that they're distant relations via my Nanny's aunt), my mum's best friend of 30+ years and several of my mum's colleagues who had known my Nanny and are now some of her best friends. All of us were masked up and social distanced. My Grandda passed in 1983; way before I was born; and I'd never been to see his tree at the cemetery, nor had my mum (she was the person to find him so understandable) we went up there on the 17th and on the 19th I started getting cold symptoms, but tested negative. I tested negative on the 20th, 21st, 22nd and we phoned my GP for an antibiotic as I'd developed a raging headache (or as I called it "an elephant is sitting on my head"), had no appetite, was super tired and my orange Juice tasted 'like poison'; all of which were symptoms of my fairly frequent childhood chest infections (I'm asthmatic) I continued to test just in case and on the 23rd I tested positive. Enter huge meltdown from me as I couldn't possibly understand how I got it when I barely leave the house and we are so cautious, not to mention the fact that one set of uncle and aunt were meant to come over on Christmas eve. My mum told her work and they said since she was testing negative she could continue to go to work (now questioning that policy) but she refused to because I was so ill. No amount of ibuprofen and paracetamol made the 'elephant' any worse, no drink tasted 'right' so she couldn't get me to drink and I had so little energy I struggled to get my knickers up after going to the toilet. Christmas day was my worst day. I barely managed to stay awake to open my presents and my Christmas dinner consisted of one pig in blanket, one slice of ham and one potato coquette. I felt really sick all day and started throwing up during 'Call the Midwife'. It and the raging fever I developed afterwards scared the life out of my mum, especially as I called her every swear word I knew for taking away my blanket and putting a fan on me. I felt so cold the North Pole would have felt warm.
After that I started getting better gradually, but some drinks still tasted 'weird' for a while and it was two weeks before I had the energy to change my knickers (gross but true) I'm not vaccinated as a flu jab for me feels like PH 1 acid is being injected into me via a white hot poker, inducing the kind of meltdown that endangers me and others, so it was probably that that made it so bad.
Anyone found that their periods have gone haywire since having Covid? I used to be able to time mine to the hour they were that regular, but now they're super irregular. I checked my 'period tracker' the other day and I've only had periods in January and March so far this year; and I put the March one down to the fact that a friend was using me as a case study for a Reflexology course and her practical exam was that weekend so I had several treatments that week so she could practice. Before I got Covid the treatments sometimes brought on my period or ovulation cramps (and made it heavier and more painful) because Reflexology can force out inflammation so I think that the cluster of treatments induced it. It's driving me nuts not getting it when I should since I recently invested in reusable period pads, tampons, cheeky wipes and wet bags and I haven't been able to use them. There's (of course) no evidence that having had Covid can send your periods up the swanney but one of my mum's friends recently had it and its sent her's haywire as well so there must be something do do with Covid that impacts it.

Jay, Just regular over the counter cough Meds. Also try steaming. Boil a pot of water, thrown in the juice of one squeezed lemon. Maybe a teaspoon of vicks vapor-rub along with some salt. Get under a blanket and inhale the hot vapors for 10 minutes a day (2 times a day), Also gargle in the morning with some betadine and a little water. But gargle at least 3 times daily with warm salt water. A antihistamine might also help.along with some strong cough drops. Just be consistent. Hope this helps.
