  • My experience with COVID and inflammation/headaches - Part 4
After 100+ days I finally got some relief and want to share with my friends and fellow COVID-19 sufferers that are looking for answers
I forgot to mention the cardiac issue that continues. My heart rate will still spike out of nowhere and that wipes me out immediately like I’ve just run hills prints ... but a cardiologist cleared me saying nothing is wrong and I could live with this forever as long as the headaches are gone!

I just went through the headache phase of covid. I only had approximately 14 days of this kind of head pain. I thought I could ride it out. It was only after I began taking an antibiotic and steroid that it went away after 36 or so hours. I too, received the gift a life perspective shift of gratitude. I told my Father in heaven that wanted the pain to go away but that I would wait on Him to show me what I must learn. And HE MOST CERTAINLY DID.❤

Thank you so much for sharing your story. Having Covid also reminded me that health and family are number one priorities in my life. I have been suffering from these frontal lobe constant achy headaches since Covid and can’t find relief. I already see a neurologist for another issue but thank you for suggesting seeing someone who specializes in “headaches” that totally makes sense. I hope all is going well with you and your family. I watched this to get some ideas for my best friend who is having headaches after COVID and I'm glad you found something that works. I'll give her these ideas of what worked for you. Maybe she can get her headaches under control as well.
I always find it strange when I hear people say they would take their child's pain and be in pain forever because in order to be the best parent you can be you have to be in good shape yourself. This is why on flights the flight attendant always says if anything happens put the oxygen mask on yourself first before your child. You don't have to lay yourself down as a sacrifice to prove your love to them. It's not an "either or" predicament. You're more than just a vessel, but worthy of comfort and happiness in your own right. You deserve to be pain free as much as your child does.
I think COVID has taught many people what's really important in this lifetime and it has many more to teach before the fog lifts. I'm glad you're better and that you are happy and loved. Know that you are worth it always.

Videos like this give me hope. For 16 years I’ve had chronic migraines, last 3 years they’ve been in control. Then I got Covid, and prayed for my head. I’m still dealing with the migraine. But it’s improving. Your tears are SO real. They are SO shared and felt, with everyone who’s going through migraines and migraines with Covid. It REALLY speaks for how precious life is, and how fast it can change.

in tears waking up to this video, thank you so much. as my 3rd appointment to a new nurologist is being made , I've had this traumatic migraine for 5 months now, im 23 years old. never have been through anything like this. following up with appointments and in tears 7 days a week. having trouble walking , vision , losing my hearing.
not sure exactly how I can reach different neurologist with out having to go myself or even wait for a new day. I've been out of work for months now and am extremely scared of all symptoms that have been following with this .

Six months in since covid, I still have migraines/headaches. My GP put me on steroid nasal sprays and antihistamine tablets in the first 4 months and that did nothing for me. I also saw an ENT specialist and he confirmed that my sinuses are in great condition. My pain is not constant, but definitely there at least 3-4 times a week, especially in the mornings. Hopefully there's a solution to this horrible disease. I'm starting acupuncture next week as I've heard that helps with headaches but now looking to see a neurologist as a back up! Oh thank you Amber for sharing this, it's made me want to book an appointment with a neurologist instead of just relying on acupuncture. I'm 27, super healthy and fit and have never experienced any health issues so hearing your story about life shifting resonates with me. Sending everyone love x

I have to have a follow up with her now. Have anxiety because my sleep test came back bad. I also knew that would because my sinuses have been bad forever. Worried that she will blame the headaches on that even though I've had the sinus trouble for years and daily headaches since the covid. I heard a lot of people say to recommend botox . Sounds like they want to put you on all the pills first before they try botox? Should I say okay to the pills first, if that is what is suggested? My friend is a doctor who does botox. I could pay for it out of pocket, I don't care. But isn't the "cosmetic" way they do botox and the neurological way they do botox different? Anyway...I really appreciate you sharing. I am not presently having headaches but I did have a mild case of Covid. I have experienced non Covid headaches before. How do I tell the difference? My headaches don’t sound like yours. Heavy duty! I find Advil is effective. Good luck with your headache pain.

So you took Naproxen and something called rollpax ? I can't find it. I too am suffering from horrible headaches and don't want to live like this the rest of my life. My attention span is not very good with the headaches. You then starting taking Botox with a neurosurgeon and that is what has really helped.

I take lots. Lots of vitamins and specifically for the headaches: amitriptyline, magnesium oxide and I have lots of options when I get a headache: relpax, naproxen, ubrelvy and a nausea med. I’m also doing Botox every 12 weeks and occipital nerve blocks

You give me hope. So the bottom line is that Botox did it for you? Will you continue to take them?
I had to go the ED yesterday because the pain was unbearable, I already have an appointment with Neurology. I hope you can answer my questions bc I haven't given up hope that I will be myself again when these headaches go away. Contrary to you, I didn't experience migraines before COVID-19 just the regular stress and PMS headaches but never like what I'm going through right now. Blessings to your kido!

It did help tremendously. Unfortunately it wears off in 5-6 weeks so I just recently did a nerve block. Don’t give up hope. A neurologist will help you manage the pain.
