Thanks for that!!! Best unboxing on the 1500 since they went with the new controller. I also like how you’re burning it in like you’d do with a cast iron pan. Oil and heat! It’s hard to resist not throwing bacon on to “season” it, but oil and heat for the first seasoning has to be the better choice.
Great video, gotta let ya k ow in case u haven’t figured it out yet cause I did the same thing on my YS1500 the rod that slides through the plate to open the fire pot, the pin actually slides through the sleeve too to create that snug connection. Smoke on brother
How about the baffle? Seems like the the smaller holes would be towards the igniter. I'm referring to the baffle closer to the exhaust. I should have one by Sunday.
Great video! I have been going back and forth between the 640 or the 1500. I like the layout of the 1500 much better for a built-in application. Taking a trip to the store in Southlake next weekend to check them out.
love your videos, just bought me a ys1500 will be delivered 2nd week of march 2021, i hope my wife doesn't take it over! also look forward to what you will be smoking, i have never smoked foods before and hope to learn alot from you....
I have noticed while you were assembling your new 1500 that the plates that you put in you put the one with the holes in backwards, the big holes go towards the smoke stack so the heat can be distributed evenly across the full length of the cooking chamber. Just sayin!
Guess what buddu u put the deflection plate in wrong lol its ok u got that damn yoder im jealous of u for that it 3 years in the making im buying 1 my self after tax return ... thanks so much for the video .... when u cook on it upl ou ad a video....
I love that you keep saying the name of the grill because you are so excited for it and to say it and to use it! Great video BTW.

Look like you have that diffusion plate with the holes installed backwards on the end near the chimney. Good video very detailed.

Recteq recommends 400 for an hour that should be fine.
