Hey man I joined the Yoder 1500 club.lolI came across traeger bucket liner which u can put at the bottom of the smoker to catch the drippings and wood dust or maybe aluminum foil…. Be
I got mine about the time you made the other video. That was me that pointed out the plate being turned around. I clean mine just about everytime I use it. I got mine used, and I'm not liking the temperature swings its having.
Jeffrey , I haven’t had a problem with temp swings on the 1500. The temp closes to the stack seems to run not as hot as the side closer to the igniter side.
I had temperature swings with cheap pellets. BBQr Delight pellets are what Yoder programs their controller with. There is definitely a difference. I won't use anything else now.
When u use ur smoker does the computer temp matches the Thermometer temp bcuz my doesn’t. Do u leave ur smoke stack open completely and what about little critters crawling thru the drain. I’m going to have to find a way to keep mines closed for prevention
Just a quick question but it may sound like a stupid question and I only ask because I just $3,000.00 for a pellet grill that doesn’t smoke, does the 1500 actually smoke or is it a basic oven
Good stuff man. Get you some powder free, latex free nitrile gloves when you pull those grates out. Keeps your hands clean. They also come in handy with handling meat.
Lol im feel ur pain man i feel it lol..... ur wife may make ur day man... u can brine ur meats the night before and let wifey throw the meat on the smoker while ur at work..... my self my stimulus check is goung towards the balance of my smoker ...i just cant wait man..... thanks for the video once again....
Good advice
Great video!
Im debating the 640 Yoder vs Pitts & Spitts 1250.....any rust issues with yours over the last few yrs?
No rust issues at all!
Have you checked lower grate temperatures vs what you have it set at?

Jeffrey Gwinn I was having the same problem on my 640 turned out that the thermo couple went bad and needed to be replaced.

It’s about 670lbs and has some big tires so you might be ok. You gonna need some strong help because it ain’t no joke

What is the rusting problem on the yoder 1500 like??
No rusting problems whatsoever, we did however buy the Yoder cover when purchasing. Which sits on top and protects it from weather.
@@YoderTexan Many thanks

any idea on the function of the smoke stack whether you have it half open or 100% open?
I prefer it to be 100% open.
