As a Brit who lives i São Paulo, I've been travelling LATAM business back to the UK for more than a decade. This is a good. fair review. The São Paulo business lounge us absolutely excellent, and my wife and I always have an early meal at Rascal, a hidden restaurant at Guarulhos which few people know about but which is fantastic if you arrive early as we always do pre-flight.
Thanks Simon, my expectations weren't high and I was impressed. Can't beat the Brasilian charm. Have you tried flying British Airways on the same route? They were chasing their tails but the layout on the A350 doesn't work. Thanks for the advice on where to eat. Obrigado 👍
@@liftoffandtravel Yes, we did BA once, maybe 2015/16 and it was the worst value flight ever - we swore never again. I've also done it via KLM due to flying from Glasgow via Amsterdam but you get zero time for the connection.
@@Holonomics that's good to know. We didn't enjoy it either as the service felt rushed but took over 3hrs baring in mind some passengers were already sleeping. KLM is on the list for June. Did you get the little white and blue house gift?
Great video, thanks for posting. I regularly travel on LA8085 - I travel economy and my preferred seat is 51C. Great airline and one day il do the business class option. Really enjoyed your video 😊
We thoroughly enjoyed the experience from start to finish. Latam is a joy to travel with. What's 51C like? We naturally head for the window and if there's an engine view 😍
@@liftoffandtravel almost flew them from syd-akl years ago and canceled the flight/rebooked on Qantas. I have only flown to South America once and it was from california-dfw-mia-buenos aires on american for a birthday trip. @@jimbohr that would have been a fun trip. We recently flew the 787 on a 5hr route and once you get over sitting next to someone it's actually not a bad seat. Also the cabin crew are consistently good. Introducing themselves and being polite and genuine. Food isn't like Emirates or Qatar but it's certainly tasty
Great video! You are correct the check on at Virgin and Delta is very nice, amd you feel special. Thanks for taking us along and for all the work you put into it! Great job! HI BRENT!🎉🎉🎉
Thanks for the video. We are doing this route in the next few weeks and being from the UK would normally check BA first. When we booked our flights BA were 3x the price of LATAM for flights on the same day in business. Looking forward to our first Latam flights
Ouch I dare ask how much that would have been! 😭 They're a fun airline and the crew are really happy 😊 you'll have a great time. Thanks for watching. Obrigado 👍
3x times the price sounds ridiculous? Which site were you using. I fly regularly London-SaoPaulo-London and the prices for both airlines are always very close, I guess it might depend on which Month or a particular day.
@@TheGreenGamerOfc I'm glad to hear someone else thinks the same. Recently flew from Colombia to Chile and they were exactly the same, bubbly, warm and even introduced themselves at the beginning. Do you fly long haul or domestic?
Latam really did a great job with their refurbishment of cabins, the bulkhead window seats are the best and have the most space. Their mattress pads are better than BA's. The Latam crew is also consistently joyful as you put it, but they are also consistently slow with meal service. Every single Latam flights I've been on, the one-tray dinner service always takes about 2 hours even for a short 6-hr redeye. The food is just ok, so maybe not really worth staying up for if you had food at their lounges.
Thanks 👍 yes it is a beautiful product just a shame it's only the 777s. It's interesting you say they are slow perhaps that's the style. In London you are often rushed in and out of the table at a restaurant because the next table brings more profit but in Hungary for example the service is slow because the table is considered yours for the evening. Interesting I raised this before in an aviation group that BA on their A350 took 3hrs+ from Sao Paulo and I was sitting in the middle of Business. Next time I fly them I'll keep an eye on the service time. Either way glad you enjoyed them 😊
@@liftoffandtravel My most recent 767 flight was an American Airlines Boeing 767 between Miami and New York JFK. I am hoping I'll enjoy another flight on a DL 767 before they go.
Thank you for the video. I will fly São Paulo - London in a few weeks and i recently had a surgery. Would you mind posting the food menu somewhere? It will be my first time flying LATAMs business class. Thanks :)
Amazing, if you add us on our Instagram we will try and find the menu. We'll send some screen shots if we can find it. You'll have a good time. We were impressed with the experience. Would love to do it again. Thanks for watching
Why so far away? It's wonderful to have future goals, bucket lists or dreams though. They are bringing out a new product on their 787s over the next two years.
I still don't have work experience even at the age of 21 due to the job requirement higher than upper primary and junior secondary and my dad still has to work even though he is 66!
Strange that you found LATAM’s crew better than B.A. I live part time in Brasil and have usually found LATAM’s crew a bit perfunctory as though they are just doing a job. Maybe the Long haul staff are better trained. Internally, overall I prefer Azul or GOL. On my long haul B.A. flights I’ve always found food and service to be excellent. I guess sometimes it’s the luck of the draw. Thanks for the upload, good to see what LATAM offer long haul.
It could just be luck. Every member of the LATAM cabin crew were smiley and friendly even when they didn't speak English. Compare that to British Airways and it was sadly obvious that while one lady went above and beyond the crew weren't at their best. The order service was slower than the previous 5+ flights I'd taken. The meal turned up wrong and my tea was stone cold. I will try them again in then future at some point specifically on the A350 to see how things go. This was a one of every other BA service has been excellent.
😂 True BA appears to have a captive audience. Although the upgrades and change of furniture and additon of plants make for a nice experience in the arrivals lounge. It's still nicer than my dentists waiting room 😉
