"Sing For You" is literally, as the title says, EXO singing to EXO-L. Some say the MV and song are about how the members feel and how they are dealing with Kris, Luhan and Tao leaving the group. The members really felt like they let fans down during this time and that they broke their promise to always be one. (EXO's slogan is "We Are One," which represents how even as sub-units they were one group and they are one with the fans, etc. So, when the Chinese members left, the rest of the members felt like as a group they broke that promise.) So this song was a promise and apology song.
This was so far from simple times for the members of EXO. This was probably one of the hardest times for EXO and EXO-Ls.
That's why you see Chanyeol and Suho get in a fight, because as the leader, Suho really blamed himself for not being able to keep the group together and Chanyeol is pretty much yelling at Suho to stop blaming himself and that there is no point because Kris, Luhan and Tao made their own choices and there is nothing he could have done about it even if he wanted to, etc. They are all angry and sad because they felt like they were all so blindsided by everything that happened. A lot happened during this time, and there was so much uncertainty about what it meant for the group, etc.
In the beginning you see them happy because this was after they have worked through their anger and are now learning to move on. The parts where you see them sad and angry are flashbacks to recent moments where they were still working through their feelings of anger and sadness.
In the end of the MV you start to see them being happy and playing around as friends again because they were learning to get past it all and move on and they made the choice to let it go and to keep singing for us, EXO-Ls. :)
The whale seems kind of weird until you discover the meaning behind it all, and then it shows how clever and meaningful they were with the concept. The whale is supposed to represent Alice a.k.a. "The Loneliest Whale in the World", who is an unidentified whale species, she is the only whale that has been found to emit a call at a really high frequency which means that when she speaks there might not be any other whales that can hear her or answer her back.
Sehun is the one who is in the spacesuit and he is supposed to represent the lonely feeling you get floating all alone in space. The astronaut comes from the story/poem about an astronaut who spent time alone in his spaceship as he came back to Earth and how he said that time was the longest and most lonely of mankind.
The combination of these two concepts, along with the lyrics of the song, talk about being away from home, being somewhere unfamiliar (since the whale and astronaut are in space) and being isolated from everything and everyone. Isolation is one of the themes within the MV. The song and the MV seems to talk about how everyone, in their lifetime, will reach a low point where they feel most isolated and like they don't belong or don't fit in, etc. But as the song says, EXO promises that this song and the members will be there to warm listeners', and especially EXO-Ls, hearts.
Most of the time when you saw the member in the video they were the voice you could hear singing in the song.

"For Life" is one of EXO's more confusing MVs, as far as the storyline, but one theory is that the girl is helping EXO escape the Red Force's control. In the first scene you see Kai as he exits a building and gets into his car to leave. It is thought that the building might be the bar where we see the members in their "Sing For You" MV. As he walks out of the building, they focus on the “You Were Here” neon sign. So the sign is supposed to be foreshadowing how EXO was once there, but they have now left. As we see at the end of the MV, Kai also chooses to leave.
To understand the role of the girl and the bracelet in the story you really have to pay attention to every detail of the MV. When the girl hands Kai the bracelet it's almost as if he is confused like he is not sure who the girl is, but he feels like he should know her. He looks at the bracelet as if he is trying to remember something. We then see him close his eyes as if he is searching his memories.
If you notice, the jewel on the bracelet is made of amber, and as one of the main themes within EXO's story, it is speculated that the girl in EXO's songs and MVs is supposed to be a manifestation of the heart of the Tree of Life, so the fact that the bracelet is adorned with amber -- which is a mineral that comes from the sap of a tree -- it is thought to be a nod to the fact that she represents the Tree of Life, or is at least leaving them with a clue to help them in their search for the Tree of Life, etc. It is also thought that the bracelet can absorb and reflect the moon's light, and the moon is what gives EXO their powers. So even in the dark, as long as they have the bracelet, they will still be able to access the power of the moon.
Next, the MV transitions to Suho, who wakes up in a forest. Some say the forest in "For Life" is the same forest we see Suho in in his "Call Me Baby" Pathcode teaser where he is searching for something and can't seem to find it.
When Suho wakes up we see him holding the same bracelet that was given to Kai, right as he catches sight of the girl running away. He chases after her, but he is unable to catch her. At the end of his search we see he ends up in a white room as he stares at his reflection in the mirror.
However, you have to pay really close attention, because as the scene starts to transition from the forest to the room with the mirrors -- if you look closely at the background in the scene where we see him running in the forest -- it no longer looks like he is in the forest, but instead the forest is an image being projected on a white video screen behind him. Some say the "movie screen" is the same screen we see Chen standing in front of in their "Lucky One" MV, which may indicate that EXO are still trapped by the Red Force and everything that is happening in "For Life" is a dream.
Then we see Suho walking down a hallway which ends up leading into the room with the mirrors. It is thought that if EXO are still stuck in the maze like we see in "Overdose" and "Lucky One," then Suho is just entering another chamber or room in the Red Force's trap. Once Suho enters the room with the mirrors, we see him looking at his reflection and the bracelet almost as if he is trying to remembers something as well.
Some say because they have been trapped in the maze for so long, they are starting to forget what they are doing there and what their mission on Earth is supposed to be, so the spirit of the Tree of Life -- which manifests as the girl in the MV -- is coming to each of the members to help remind them that they need to come to their senses and fight back and try to escape.
And then you see Chanyeol now has the bracelet, and he is staring at it as if he is also trying to remember something. He then catches a glimpse of the girl and he follows her, where he seems to end up in another room in the maze. Here he is the first one to catch up to the girl and actually interact with her. As we see him standing in front of the girl, it seems as though he now realizes who she is and that she needs to pass on the message to Kai. So Chanyeol puts the bracelet on her wrist in an unspoken request for her to deliver this message to Kai.
All along it has been thought that maybe some, or all, of the members are stuck in different dimensions or time periods -- which we have seen references to in some of their other MVs, such as "Tempo" and "Love Shot," etc. -- so it is thought that the reason why the girl needs to be the one to deliver the message is because Chanyeol is stuck in a different time period or location than Kai.
Also something to note, the rooms that Suho and Chanyeol are trapped in look very similar to the rooms they are trapped in in the beginning of "Overdose," however, in "Overdose" the maze looks dark because all the members are still in a memory fog caused by the Red Force. But in "For Life" the rooms are white because EXO are starting to break free and come out of that fog like we see them doing in their "Lucky One" MV, which also takes place in a white room.
After delivering her message to Suho and Chanyeol the girl -- or spirit of the Tree of Life -- wakes up now in Kai's time period or relm, and sees the bracelet on her wrist which reminds her that she needs to hurry and find Kai and deliver the message.
However, we discover that the girl is also trapped in her own maze or time loop, so she tries to retrace her steps from her dream to try and find Kai. She first goes to the room with the lights, but instead of the lights turning on like they did when Chanyeol completed his part of the mission, the lights turned off when she entered the room as if to say this is not the right time or location. So she moves on to the next place. You see her now frantically running through the room with the video screen searching for a way out of the maze.
Eventually you see the girl end up back in the same location where the MV started, where the dream world now becomes reality, with her handing the bracelet to Kai as he prepares to leave. You see her complete her mission as Kai escapes the Red Forces' grasp and heads off to try and find the other members. And the "You Were Here" sign turns off as if to say that this time and place has now ceased to exist like waking up from a dream, as the members have now broken free from the Red Forces' control.
Kai means opening as in a door or gateway, so his stage name is meant to symbolize that he is the one who connects all the members together and it's his job, with the power of teleportation, to travel all over the world, and between time periods and dimensions, to find and bring the members back together, so they can complete their quest to reunite the two halves of the Tree of Life in order to restore peace.
Another thing to pay attention to is the use of red and blue light. As with everything EXO does, red represents the Red Force and blue is thought to represent EXO. So when you see the red light this is where the Red Force is thought to have control and when you see blue, this is thought to be where EXO has started to break free and they are in control. When you see purple -- red and blue mixed together make purple -- or both red and blue together in the same scene, this is often where the lines are blurred and the Red Force and EXO are fighting for control or battling each other for power.
There is actually a lot more connections you can make from this MV storyline to EXO's other MVs, but that would take more time and space than one comment would allow, so I will leave you to continue discovering more connections on your own. :D
In the MV for "For Life" you only see Kai, Suho and Chanyeol, but you hear all the members singing in the song. I'm not really sure why SM only chose to include 3 of the members in the MV, but there are theories about that as part of EXO's storyline.
There is also a Mandarin version with a similar MV and, as you have seen and heard, an all English version of "For Life" sung by D.O. However, the Mandarin lyrics are slightly different than the Korean and English lyrics, so you should look up all the versions to see and hear the differences. :D

I always thought they are in a time loop, the bracelet is also in a loop shape. The girl as you said is the manifested spirit of the tree of life. I think since she's the direct manifestation of the tree of life so she as a sentient being of tree of life, ultimately caused either polchinski's paradox or let's kill Hitler paradox in the loop set by red force which although set the 12 forces free but ended up breaking apart in different timelines and dimensions.
Another example of this would be Obsession where Exo and X-Exo are fighting and the world is destroyed through the process so in Don't Fight the Feeling, the members are searching for the end of the world to discover their origin/history and move to the light which can either transport them to their origins where all of this started in first place or to enter in different dimension where Earth is still alive.
However in their recent comeback in Exist album we have Exo who finally have figured it out that they were being manipulated and controlled by Red Force through screens (it's shown in For Life, Love Shot, Lucky One) and drinks (Love Shot, Kokobop and Cream Soda). So this is another dimension where although Earth isn't destroyed but Exo are still somehow controlled by the Red Force.

My understanding of Sing For You is how the members felt about themselves and their fans when members left. The struggles Suho faced as leader, with Chanyeol, and the others was really intense. We see their hurt, loneliness and pain. Then we see them turning toward each other to become joyful and renew their determination to show love to those who love and support them.

When For Life mv came out someone said on Twitter that if you think that the bracelet represents the love that goes from fan to artist and from artist to fans, then you can get what the mv wants to say. I stand by that explanation. It's BEAUTIFUL, they run and go from place to place to share their love for each other as much as possible 💛

Yes Sing for you I think it’s about loneliness as well
Actually the MV is inspired by a poem called the ‘Astronaut’s whale’.It talks about a whale that wasnt feeling like he belongs in the sea and he wanted to see the stars and the sun and then he met the astronaut. They quickly became friends and decided to go to the space with the astronaut’s rocket..and they were happy until they started to feel homesickness and they realized that the place were the really belonged was the sea and the mainland, where their loved ones were.Because they(their families) won’t last forever but the stars will. The scene were Sehun was in the space with the whale represents the moment that they both realized that they miss their homes and friends, thing that i think connects with other scenes of the MV. In those scenes u can see the members playing around and then one of them being alone and sad.The whole MV is about missing someone and regretting getting away of them or hurting them.
Ofc there are also other theories about this Mv but this is one of them. U can check some videos on yt about it❤️

A lot of people say the whale and the astronaut/ space concept didn't make sense in the Sing For You MV, but it actually has a lot of significance.
The whale concept was derived from the a whale called Alice a.k.a 'The Loneliest Whale in The World's, who is an undentified whale species, being the only whale emitting a call 52 hertz (like a lonely sad song).
The astronaut concept was derived from the story of the astronaut *Michael Collins who spent 48 minutes in his spaceship and coming back saying that those 48 minutes were the longest and most loneliest of mankind.
The combination of these two concepts placed within the MV discusses being away from home, being somewhere unfamiliar (since the whale and astronaut is in space) and being isolated. Isolation was one of the themes in the MV (when Kai was seen being alone when the other members were playing/ when Chanyeol and Suho were fighting).
The song and the MV seems to talk about how everyone, in their lifetime, would meet a low point where they feel most isolated and most out of their place, but that this song (and EXO) will be there to warm their hearts.
In a way, this song could also be indirectly dedicated to the members who have left considering the lyrics of the song.
KAI is supposed to representing EXO (which through out video that they do it affects Kai, which mean all EXO members get affected by what one of them do) while SEHUN represent the members that leave (alone in space).
There is always one left alone in each part of the video eg XIUMIN in the basket ball court or DO in the car while the others leave representing the fact that 3 members left, they started feeling lonely and had a fear that everyone will leave.
Suho and Chanyeol fight is about Suho feeling incompetent as a leader.
In the end Kai meets the other members in the car after they realize they need each other and have to be there for each other.

I assume the astronaut in Sing For You represents Michael Collins, the “loneliest man in history.” Collins stayed aboard Apollo 11 and orbited the moon while his teammates took man’s first steps on the moon. The “52 hertz whale” also known as the “loneliest whale in the world,” lives among other whales, but he sings in a frequency others can’t understand.

If you are trying to understand what is happening in "Lucky One," you have to remember the fact that everything EXO does is connected. So, in order to piece their storyline together, you have to remember what was happening in some of the other MVs that you watched. I think "Lucky One" takes place right after "Overdose." (Not necessarily in chronological order of when the songs were released, but it order of their storyline.)
If you remember, in "Overdose" they were trapped in the maze by the Red Forces and the maze caused them to be disoriented and prevented them from using their powers at full strength. Somehow the maze lowered their defenses which allowed the Red Forces to capture them and take them to the lab where we see them in "Lucky One."
I think sometime between when the "Overdose" MV ends and "Lucky One" begins, the Red Force transferred EXO from the rooms in the maze to wherever they are in "Lucky One". So the story in the "Lucky One" MV has to do with the fact that they have been captured by the Red Force and are being held against their will in a lab where the Red Force are trying to do experiments on them to figure out what makes EXO different, or to figure out how to control them, or to figure out how to prevent them from having their connection to the Tree of Life, or, maybe, even figure out how to clone them like we see has happened in "Obsession," etc.
They are each using their powers, such as Chanyeol using his power of fire, D.O. makes the windows break with his power of force, Chen zaps the women with his power of electricity, Kai teleports from room to room and Suho uses his power of controlling water to try and reverse the chemicals from entering his body from the IV bag, etc.
In the Korean version you see Suho trapped in that room that looks like it is filled with smoke, but because Suho has the power to control water, I think the room is really filled with steam or fog and the Red Force is experimenting with ways to get rid of his powers, etc. And, if you watch the Mandarin version, you will see Xiumin trapped in that room. Xiumin is a member of EXO-M and he has the power to control snow/ice/frost, which makes him Suho's power counterpart and gives him some of the same natural elements when it comes to their powers.
Fun fact: Xiumin creates a drinking glass made out of ice that Suho fills with water for them to drink from as they try to escape.
As the members are working to escape, you see Baekhyun struggles to summon his power -- which is the ability to control light -- because he was given a darkness poison that is affecting his light, etc.The black liquid you see the nurse lady inject into the IV was attached to Baekhyun and it is thought they were injecting him with darkness to stop his ability to control light, which causes him to quickly sit up in bed as he is awakened from his drugged sleep state, as they try to alter his power. If you notice, when Baekhyun is trying to break out and he is standing in that dark room with Chanyeol, Chanyeol has to use his power of fire to light the way, because the theory is that Baekhyun is unable to access his power of light because of the drugs that are currently in his system.
You see them all using their powers to fight back and try to escape from the facility.
The women are robots and they are part of the Red Forces' arsenal -- that is why you see them wearing those red visors. (Any time you see red in an EXO video that usually has something to do with the Red Force.) That is why Chen is able to electrocute them and they just fall down and stop working and why they are able to explode their heads in a puff of smoke, etc. Sehun controls wind so he was able to use wind to push the robots over and deactivate them, etc. Because they are using their powers, they don't have to touch them to defeat them.
Lay was able to use his power of healing to deactivate the robot woman because he tricks her into short circuiting by getting her to focus on the beauty of the flower. Lay has the ability to heal anything that is living -- including flowers. :D
You see Chen's image being projected on the movie screen behind him because some theories think that this connects to EXO's "Love Shot" MV, as well as their "For Life" MV. In "Love Shot" we see the members in a movie theater and they are in a trance staring at the movie screen. We think whatever is being played on the movie screen is connected to the Red Force and the Red Force is using it to keep the members brainwashed and incapacitated, so they don't try to fight back and escape from the maze that the Red Force has them trapped in. And you see Suho being controlled by the images on the movie screen in their "For Life" MV, etc.
You see Kai with those dance breaks because, one of the theories is, it's his job to distract the robots so the other members have a chance to use their powers and it gives them time to figure out how to escape. If you pay attention to Kai's dance, you might notice that the dance he was doing in "Lucky One" was the choreography to "Monster." As you can see, this was a little Easter egg that SM used to give us secret clues that make connections between the two MVs. "Lucky One" and "Monster" are from the same album and both MVs were released back to back. However, there are subtle things in all of EXOs MVs that, if you are paying close attention, you will see things that are hidden messages and clues that give nods to other moments in other MVs.
"Lucky One" and "Monster" are from EXO's Ex'Act album and the MVs were actually both released on the same day, June 9, 2016. So they were the two songs that were promoted together from the album as part of EXO's comeback promotions at the time. "Lucky One" was kind of a B-side track to "Monster" but was promoted like a lead track, with an MV and storyline. As you probably know, most of the time B-side tracks don't have an MV. However, SM used "Lucky One" to help tell an important part of EXO's story, so they created an MV for the song.
So one storyline theory goes: The members were trapped in the maze by the Red Force in "Overdose" and while they were trapped they were captured and moved to the government facility in "Lucky One" and after escaping in "Lucky One" we see them detoxing in "Ko Ko Bop."
As you are starting to realize, everything EXO does has something to do with their storyline and their origin story, including every single one of their MVs, most of their Sub-unit MVs, Solo MVs, live performances and choreography, as well as teaser videos and concert VCRs. Nothing is random or done without a specific purpose and meaning and it's our job as fans to piece it all together.
However, most of the time the story in the lyrics of the song is separate from the story in the MV. EXO's songs are about being in love with a girl or wanting to be with a girl, but their MVs are about them battling the Red Force and about telling the next piece of their storyline. What makes EXO even more complicated, is you have to view their MV as loosely based around their song lyrics, but also separate. Just as their storyline is thought to be based on the fact that each comeback may be a different dimension or era of EXO's story, you also have to analyse their story in the lyrics of their songs separate from the story in the MV, but be prepared to make connections between the two as well. (I know, confusing, right?)

In EXO's "Power" MV it is thought that EXO are on Planet Exo and, before the "Obsession" MV came out, we all thought EXO was trying to get their powers back from the Red Force. The original theory was that the robot, which is being controlled by the Red Force, stole EXO's powers and the members had to fight to get their powers back. That's why the robot is labeled RFO5 which stands for Red Force. Not sure what the 05 means, but some theories say that EXO's sister group, Red Velvet, could possibly be the Red Force. If you watch some of Red Velvet's MVs with an eye for making connections to EXO, you might be able to see some similarities between EXO's storyline and Red Velvet's storyline, especially in RV's MV teaser videos. Red Velvet has 5 members, so maybe the 05 stands for the 5 members. But whatever it means, the one thing I am sure of is, it's another clue to EXO's origin story.
The powers the robot has are all of EXO's powers. For example, you see the robot with Chanyeol's fire orb use it to shoot fire, and the blue orb I think is Suho's water power, etc. On each of EXO's "watches" you see a symbol which is the symbol that represents each of their powers. If you remember in "Mama," each of the members has a symbol that represents their power -- If we were able to see all of their watches, I am pretty sure, we would have seen each one displayed that member's symbol.
(The hooded figure and the part about the two suns, etc. at the beginning of this MV, is a reference to EXO's origin story and it's supposed to remind you of the narration in the intro of their "Mama" MV.)
On a side note, as you see in this MV, each of the members is represented by a different color which coincides with their power. EXO's fandom color is "Cosmic Latte" (greyish-tan) -- Cosmic Latte is said to be the color created when you combine all the colors of the stars together -- but the group's lightstick is actually multi-colored. Each color represents one of the members. The lightstick has bluetooth and during concerts the lighting technicians can control the fan's lightsticks and change the colors or make them flash or strobe, etc. along with the beat of the music. So during different parts of the concert, depending on which of the members are featured at that moment on stage, they often change the color of the lightstick lights to the color that represents that member.
Also, as you see in the MV, EXO's powers are controlled by the eclipse. The eclipse is where EXO summons their abilities from and that's why the majority of the stories in their MVs revolve around an eclipse of some kind or something to do with the moon. And that's why a few of their comebacks and MV releases have been on days when we have had a real eclipse, or some sort of real planetary phenomenon, etc.
Chen's power is the power to control thunder, but where there is thunder there is always lightning, so Chen also has control of electricity. Lightning is what creates thunder. So, some theories say that is why Chen is the one that is able to plug the power source back in without getting zapped because he has the ability to control electricity; and because Xiumin's power is snow/ice/frost he gets zapped when he tries to plug the power in because snow and ice doesn't mix well with electricity.
The funny wiggly toy is supposed to represent the robot after he has been deactivated by the EXO (or maybe X-EXO) members. It is now dead and it no longer has any power, etc.
Lay is the only member who is missing in "Power" -- this MV was during the start of when he was no longer able to work with EXO. So, because Lay was unable to participate in this MV, as part of EXO's storyline, Lay was unable to collect his power orb at this time. So originally fan theories thought that the EXO members got his power back for him and they sent Lay his power orb in the mail. We see Lay receive a package, which is thought to contain his orb, in his MV for his solo song "Namanana."
However, Lay is not the only one who doesn't get his power back right away. If you look, when all the members powers are being reunited, Baekhyun is the only member who is not shown receiving his power orb -- he didn't show up until later in the MV. In a lot of EXO's MVs, Baekhyun is one of the main characters and he is usually singled out or stands apart from the members. So theories originally speculated that maybe Baekhyun had been corrupted by the Red Force. But now, since "Obsession," we are starting to think that maybe Baekhyun was the only one that was not under the Red Force's control. But as with everything that EXO does, we fans are all still trying to figure out what it all means.
Although, now that we have new information about EXO's story -- since their "Obsession" MV came out -- the new theory is that the "Power" MV is actually showing us X-EXO in training and Baekhyun has always been the one who the Red Force was unable to steal his power orb, which is why we don't see him until later on in "Power".
This is another instance where, now that we know X-EXO are the ones that are dressed in bright colors, with crazy hair and makeup that, in hindsight, we think "Power" might be showing us a piece of X-EXO's storyline, instead of EXO like we originally thought.
Now that we know about X-EXO, it makes sense that "Power" is showing us X-EXO's storyline because most of the members in this MV have blue eyes or different eye colors, which we originally thought was just because it makes them look more like comic book characters to go along with the theme of the MV. However, we have now realized, within SM's SM Culture Universe storyline, when characters within SM MVs have blue eyes or different eye colors this usually is an indication that that person isn't themselves, i.e. they aren't who we think they are. It is thought to be used to show that they are a clone or alter ego, etc., under the control of an evil force.
Also take notice, of the letter that is on the collar of the Kitten. If you look, you will see it's an L. It is thought that the kitten is supposed to represent us EXO-Ls. We are the ones that are supporting "EXO," dispensing power and giving them strength, etc. That's why Baekhyun is seen lovingly holding the kitten. If Baekhyun is the only one not under the Red Forces' control, then he is an EXO member, so he is protecting the Kitten (EXO-Ls).
In the "Power" MV, fan theories originally thought that once they defeat the robot and get their powers back, EXO are then sent to Earth to start their mission. That is why at the end of this MV you see Baekhyun being sent to Earth were he lands in the water. However, now maybe Baekhyun wasn't necessarily on Earth, but maybe, because he is the one that isn't under the Red Forces' control, this scene is showing us something else. The song you hear playing at the end of the MV is another song from their Power album -- it is called "Sweet Lies." (There is no MV for it because it's a B-side track.) Theories have also been that when the members all arrived on Earth none of them arrived together and they each landed in different locations all over the world (which is explained in EXO's "Call Me Baby" pathcode teaser videos), so that might be why at the end of the "Power" MV you see Baekhyun by himself floating in the water.
As you can see, even though this is one of their more recent songs and MVs the story in the MV is actually part of the very beginning of EXO's origin story, so this is an example of how their storyline is not in chronological order. We EXO-L's have to really pay attention to figure out where each part of their story fits within the storyline with each new song and MV release, including all their solo content and their sub-unit releases, etc.
Also, it's worth noting that if you were to pause the MV at the part in the beginning before the MV really starts, at the part where all the members are in that "club room" hanging out. You would see that everything in that room is there for a reason and it all gives clues to different things to do with EXO, such as the date of their next comeback, what the theme of the next MV might be, the title of the song, etc. The posters on the walls and even the way the members are positioned in the room and what they are doing is all another part of EXO's story, and it gives us a few more clues to what to expect in future chapters of EXO's epic novel or action adventure/mystery movie series. I encourage you, if you haven't already, to go back and look at this frame of the MV, you will be surprised the things you can find within just that one scene.
If you haven't already, you really should check out a comeback stage for "Power" because even though this MV doesn't have any dancing, there is choreography that goes along with the song and it gives the song a totally different vibe, ruclips.net/video/QxYzQzqrKOQ/видео.html. And when you see their concert performance of "Power", the concert version is the remixed version, so the choreography is different then what you will see in their comeback stage. "Power" was also used as one of the theme songs, along with their song "Growl," during the 2018 winter Olympics, and EXO even performed both songs during the closing ceremony.
Fun fact: If you purchase this album, one version comes with a comic book/graphic novel that continues EXO's storyline. And you only get to see those clues to the story if you own the album. Just another example of how EVERYTHING SM creates for EXO continues their concept and story. :D

Your confused face really makes my day😆
Power MV: idk if I can say Baekhyun is the main guy here, but in MAMA it said that they can return to their planet if they gathered, and according to the storyline, they got their powers when eclipse happened. So Baekhyun planned all this to return to their 'home' that's why if you realized, they got their powers under the eclipse. They all gathered and all but at the end, they got separated again. Which leads to Baekhyun's confusion at the end of the video with 'sweet lies' running on the back, Baekhyun seems like he's flying but he's not and thinking while he was in the water(sea,I guess)
The cat is EXO-L, they said exo-l worked hard everytime there's voting involves (idk about the animations lol maybe they got struck by their powers?)
Sing For You: This song lyrics are actually about confession. How they said that person is a gift from god, and how they would be awkward the next time they meet. There's lyrics that said "I'll sing for you, so just listen". The lyrics are so sweet that I want someone to actually said that to me.
As for the MV, where Suho and Chanyeol fighting, some said that Chanyeol/someone blamed Suho about the three members leaving the group. ...and actually there's a story about an astronaut meeting a whale, and I think it's about the loneliness I don't remember.
Lucky One: they are all gorgeous, that's true. And yes, those androids did some experiments on them and after I did some thought I think the results of it are X-EXO. They were in a maze and use their powers to destroy the androids... except for Kai😂 when you said "he knows he can dance his way out" I was instantly like "aww poor Kai" because he literally dance to Monster in there because of the staff. Kai said "The worst part is they all got to use their powers, but I don't even know what I'm doing" 🤣 that's because they maybe wanted to spoil for Monster comeback.
I hope someone understand😌 english is my 2nd language so pardon me if I got some shit wrong

Well, Power has another meaning. The song came out after “Monster” so Baekhyun did not fight with them in “Power” because his power was drained and expended in the “Monster” war, but in the last song EXO won and Baekhyun’s strength returned to him + In the last MV, Baekhyun fell from the sky and this is mysterious And it has several explanations is that when Baekhyun's power disappeared, he returned to planet Earth

"Sing For You" has a deep meaning. It was after the 3 chinese members left the group so it reprensents their sadness. The scene with the fight where Chanyeol is hitting Suho is to put some sense back into him because he was blaming himself for it, so the members are clearly trying to show him that he didn't do anything wrong.

  • @EXO-L-ls8qj
    @EXO-L-ls8qj 2 года назад +4

Sing for You is my favorite of their winter title tracks...and it is tied with Universe as my favorite winter MV. And they are both up there with my favorite EXO MV's overall...although, Power and Lucky One are as well. Sing For You, to me, is definitely about loneliness and loss, as you said. This song was their winter track for the end of 2015, I think, so it was after the whole nightmare time between 2014 and 2015 when they lost 3 of their members. At the time, Suho felt a lot of guilt and took a lot of blame for not keeping the group together, or some nonsense like that, so Chanyeol is literally beating the %$#^ out of him to wake him up! There is a poem or something about the whale and the astronaut. The astronaut represents some guy that went into space and he said that was the loneliest 40 minutes of his life or whatever length of time it was. And the whale is the 52 mHerz whale, that is the only one it's kind, and their cries can't be heard by any other whales, or something like that. So the whale and the astronaut met or lived in space where they were together, so they weren't lonely, but they also didn't belong there, so they were still lonely. It's weird, and confusing. But also, sad and symbolic. At the end of the day, they may have lost the 3 members, and that may have made them sad, but they still had each other, which is why they came back together, and were all whole and as one, at the end. I really never get sick of watching that MV.

I believe the astronaut and the whale is a type of whale that emits sound that other whales don't use the astronaut is from a man that spent 48 minutes out in space and said they were the loneliest 48 minutes of all time. So both are representations of missing being home.

The concept of Power is Game , we had a game during promotions and exo members are in a game in this video. ( which is played by the exo in parallel universe :)) which you've seen at the beginning of the mv). That robot is controlled by Red force and stole their powers and used against them . Don't fight the feeling is after power and for the last part when baekhyun fell in water, you should read the comic book :)) yes it's complicated

  • @mushimushi523

SFY has a lot of different interpretations but mostly it shows loneliness
sehun as an astronaut is about a real life story when an astronaut was stuck in open space for almost an hour and those minutes felt like an eternity for him
the whale in the mv is the loneliest creature on earth because no other can communicate with it on its frequency, it also exists real life
this was the year the third member left and it was a quite tough period of time
suho as a leader made sure the guys don’t feel sorry because it wasn’t their fault
even the most mischievous members were shattered
lay felt the biggest pressure tho. the media kept forcing the agenda that he’ll eventually leave so he kept apologizing and feeling guilty but never once tolerated the questions about him going away. at any possible event he made sure him leaving was never the option.

I already knew about and respected EXO since their debut, but "For Life" was actually the reason I really got into them and decided to learn their names. I had heard the song a lot and was a hardcore fan of another group at the time. Decided to watch the Golden Disc Awards 2017 to watch my favorite group at the time. Then EXO appeared on stage and performed "For Life". I knew the song and was humming along when one of the members popped up on screen and I instantly was captivated. Immediately did research and found out his name was Xiumin. His visuals and voice on that stage stole my heart and made me an EXO-L because I jumped into EXO so fast.

You definitely chose a lot of storyline heavy things to watch at once. Believe me, I was confused the first time too. Now I feel like I have played detective for years and finally understand most of the storyline (as much as one can with no clear explanation) lol. Sing for You breaks my heart the most cause instead of a fake story it is about real life. The struggle and grief they had to go through losing members back to back, Suho feeling guilty as the leader, all the members feeling sad and confused, I am so proud and glad that after all they went through they made it through it together in the end.
I guess if you really get interested in the future you can look up the storyline theories, the Power music video has so much in it, it would take a whole video just get through it lol.

It's funny how you always have trouble recognizing SUHO.
You just watched the most confusing MVs by EXO. I'd recommend you read the comments, they usually have explanations to the MVs

this reaction was hilarious (especially in the moment with the whale) do you think it's easy to be Aeri? I admit even I, who from the debut with them sometimes don't understand anything, then I'm looking for additional information on the forums (I hope I'm not the only one)Thank you so much for your reaction!!!

It's so funny every time you don't recognise Suho. Is it because when his hair is down he looks a bit like Xiumin?
