I was over in Clare to photograph the Cliffs of Moher and Doolin. But sea spray & wind made big landscapes look very flat, so I went south in the Spanish Point direction, & going through Lahinch I noticed the breaking waves which were about 4 meters high & not really good, but on checking the wind-guru site, it showed 8-9 meter waves for the following morning & so I stayed in Lahinch and got this short video clip.

+thomasucc LOL, I imagine it would take more than that to close an Irish Pub.

Been there twice. June-to-September 2008 in Shamrock Inn. Then a stop-by during a trip for just three days in 2016. Love this town & Ireland. Will be back!

This was indeed an exceptionally strong storm. The entire western seaboard of Ireland can, sometimes, take the full brunt of the Atlantic swell.

Great Video and great to see but can never understand how people don't respect the power of nature, especially the power of the sea, looking at people on the shore front watching the waves, can understand the fascination but really they should realize that its not safe to be there standing watching it so close, well done on the Video, very well shot, not intended at the photographer but at the people standing on the right watching same
