Well done! One of my favorite areas, Lahinch up to Doolin. Hope they can patch up the damage before my next visit. Great video.

That's the first time I saw the full view of the storm in Lahinch and it must have been frightening to be there. Heard about all the clean-up work. Fair dues to ye. Will have to get down again soon. Hi to all the relations there.

My deepest respect (and sympathy) for the folks who stand behind windows of their homes and businesses watching the ocean slamming against their homes, windows and front doors, often carrying chunks of wood, rocks, pieces of pavement and other flotsam in those waves. It makes me feel not quite as crapped on when I get seven feet of snow in less than 18 hours!! At least I can hire men & equipment to help shovel the white stuff off my roof and haul it away from my front door and don't have to deal with the leaks, mildew, repairs AND cleaning up what the ocean dumped in my lap.

+Tacks Sherbo Usually most expensive places to live too and I'm not even talking about damage and repairs. Go figure ...

Gehenna71 There is always some kind of "balancing act," isn't there, for those who love to live by the sea, on the beach, or even ON the sea. Watching sunsets, sunrises and feeling a fresh breeze off the water has its price when the wind howls and enrages the sea so it slams against your home, damaging parts of it or even washing some or all of it into that water. I certainly don't mind the water, but I much prefer that it stays where it belongs.

Tacks Sherbo Well I certainly don't care about any damage as long as it gives me a good storm and it takes nobody's life. But those places should be cheapest to live.

Gehenna71 Yes, they should indeed be cheapest to live. Unfortunately, that's not the way it works out.
