Have Ye on
Dope intro. Love y’all
I was there. It’s all true. Thank you for the kind words, brother. This podcast made me cry twice.
The spirited Man himself
omg, I'm sorry you had to experience that :( its heartbreaking 💔
had no idea how much struggle Casey experienced, there are things ppl can "hate" on, but he deserves a lot of respect
😊
The legend ❤️🙏🏼
dont think we gave enough credit to whoever made the 6 pairs of my glasses.
I've seen you somewhere before but I've never known your name or what you do.. I'm really inspired. I resonate with your life a fair bit and its been great to listen to you. I wish you all the success you definitely deserve it.. take care!
Thanks for all your honest humbleness. Your evolution to me is so inspiring. Big love, kindest regards, Richard U.K
ME
Love you Casey ❤
Nice seeing u on the pod
I love how Casey gives all credit to his brother Van saying he's the genius and Van says exactly the same about Casey when asked, saying he's the real genius, true brotherhood.
Tom Sachs is their step brother
Best podcast with Casey I’ve heard
The intro made me think I'm on Casey's channel, brought back such good memories. Killed it once again, Flagrant team!
Plot twist: the Ai actually made the script😂
Ya that's the idea it's called cross promotion that why there's always guests now with the giant headshot on the thumbnail
Ooh it's about to get Flagrant 🫣
That Casey intro bring me back kol
No fr I smiled so big I haven’t heard his intro in forever
This might be one of the best podcasts I've ever listened to. Casey's life is incredible and his storytelling ability is unmatched. Such a great listen
incredible! i came here to comment this but you nailed it
soy
And still he dont tell the true. Tv production finance his RUclips carrier. I think it was HBO
I don't know about unmatched storytelling lol dudes mid and comes off as an exaggerating douche.
love seeing the podcast pop off
Man, as someone who watched almost every single vlog back then, this is without a doubt the best Casey Neistat interview out there rn.
This was awesome to watch, Casey's been a huge inspiration and probably the main reason I have a successful RUclips channel and business. I watched him do it first and it gave me the confidence. Top guy, great hosting.
🙏 "Who the f*uck says you should hire an editor" - this is the guy that got me into CREATING content. Editing is 100% where the story is made, why would I ever give that up?
chiftie crying in the corner
Scorsese always credited his being so successful to his editor.
he does use an editor occasionally though so.
@iComplainer what was the point of your comment?
Edit: just saw your name. I retract the question.
All movies, including Star Wars, are saved in the edit.
My dog passed last night , this got me through one of the worst nights I’ve had in some time. Just wanted to say thank you guys, and this was a great episode.
Sorry for your loss, that’s never easy. Sending good vibes your way
Lost my two year old puppy a week or so ago. It gets easier with time. Head up 😁
The toughest part of life when raising animals.
I Hope youre ok. Hang in there.
Your dog is in a safe place now.
I love dogs ❤❤❤
Rest in peace. Hope you're doing okay
Stay strong bro.
I felt like I’ve been living under a rock my whole life coz I didn’t know anything about Casey but this video has been hella inspirational. Thank you team flagrant 😊
Same. All knew about him before this was that he was a RUclipsr.
Watch all his videos. He’s a true inspiration. The earlier videos are the best but the new stuff is great, too!
Dude. Thank a higher power that you have 900 of Casey's videos to watch now. I caught them all in a 4-month tear in 2019 and change my life.
I'm jealous of you because you have a library of content to consume.
You should start a RUclips channel talking about your journey through his content.
That's crazy he has been around even before RUclips he is the king of RUclips and was extremely popular in 2016 when mrbreast was no where to be found !!!his era was the best
This is such a pleasant watch. The setting is amazing and aesthetic and the conversation is so free-flowing and a perfect mix of THE BOYS and seriousness. Well done, fellas. Also love, that you only have the small mics, makes for a better look.
This is my first intro to this guy and I was absolutely captivated by him, his story, his hustle/grind, sincerity, passion and genuine likability. I Was listening while driving to the cancer center to sit w/my mom during chemo and he made me “feel” ready to deal with the day. This is by far one of my favorite episodes. Much love to the Flagrant crew for bringing him on and allowing the story to be told w/out the antics. ❤❤❤
So glad he was able to do that for you! This is the first piece of content I’ve consumed of his and I felt equally inspired and he has gained a new fan!
I wish you and your mom good health and the best ❤
If you enjoyed him on this podcast you will genuinely LOVE his vlog series. Go back to his first vlog from 2015 on his channel Casey Neistat and just start watching them from the beginning. Casey is an incredibly talented editor and filmmaker, and he turned a daily vlog into this daily short film series basically about things in his life and these videos are INCREDIBLY entertaining and motivating! Trust me, you will not regret watching them. You’ll become addicted to them haha!
This is such a good episode. Casey’s ability as a storyteller is amazing.
3 hours of Casey? I'm in. Thanks for the podcast.
One of the most inspiring stories I've ever heard. This story is an eye-opener especially for those who are struggling. No success didn't come from a huge struggle. And especially this struggle is what's worth telling about. Now I can't wait to tell my own story in 20 years after I struggled.
So cool Casey showed up to help a little channel out! Such a humble dude!
It’s already quite big
@@arjanpetersen woosh
humble?
The beginning music just unlocked so many memories of Vloggers in the 2014-2016 era
This guys shaped my teenage years and I genuinely see his influence in my early 20’s. Grateful to know this guys story.
Almost 3 hours of Pod?!?!
Thank you Flagrant Gods!!
The opening skit was perfect! Should have kept the glasses the whole ep lol
The quality, production, and editing of Casey's videos have always made them better then almost all videos out there.
Man, I am so glad RUclips took a swing at recommending me a long video. Fully engrossed throughout. Great episode!
Such an amazing POD. Literally listen to the entire thing. Always inspiring to hear about someone's story of making something out of nothing, and was definitely more intriguing seeing it from casey's perspective, being a youtuber you grew up watching as well as on schulz pod where the story could of been told with some more edge to it. 👌
this is one of those podcasts thta remind you of the infinit complexity of the story of every human being, casey in my mind was the vlog guy, i had watched some of his videos but never engaged with them that much, this pod has opened my eyes to the depth of his character, thank you casey for blessing us with your story
One of, if not the best episode of any podcast I've watched! Loved the change of pace, absolutely captivating listening to Casey's life story. Great work guys!
this is one of the best pods ive ever watched, ive never really watched casey’s videos (im about to start) but his ability to tell his story and his abaility to be fuckin real and show his strength through his struggles is so inspiring and awesome to see, great pod guys yall are dope, much love
Thank you guys. Needed this ep right about now 🙏🏽
Andrew and his hard cut fades 😂 blend that in
Deadass tht shit distracting how bad it looks 😂
Casey’s on and your checking out haircuts….okay 🗿
@@jonrios11 that shit lowkey growing on me
White people can’t do hard fades
@@jonrios11 every style goes on cycle my dude look around u
I gained a whole new level of respect for Casey, super inspiring!
One of my favorite videos of Casey's was one of his more recent, about 8 months ago, "We Moved Back to New York City,'" where he filmed his journey back to NY, leaving his place in Santa Monica. His music and sound design is extra great in that one. At 5 min 26 with family, then again at 6 min 26 with the theme of "home" and the fit of the lego shot.. with overhead drone shots over the city of his moving truck driving away to start the journey -- all to the great music editing. All of the state border signs, moments along the way, and ending of course in NYC. It was one of Casey's best journey videos, and he's made some great ones. It was packed with so much meaning/emotion. I recently drove a portion of one of the same highway he did by the way, when I moved across country just a few weeks ago. I wish I had filmed my journey.
best ep in a minute. crazy to learn about casey's back story thru your style of interviewing.
There would be no Casey without his older brother. What a beautiful bond those 2 brothers have
im loving the direction this podcast is taking, you guys making that intro, that was so cute!!
Never watched this channel but so glad I tuned in. Absolute best Casey interview I’ve ever seen!!! Thank you! ❤
thanks schulzi and casey for putting this together im looking forward to watching after that amazing intro
have watched Casey for years but never really watched a full length pod with him on it. very excited for this, thanks Schulzy!
I love how engaged everyone was and got to tell their stories.. what a great episode
Really enjoyed this…Casey is by far one of the most inspirational story tellers! I once had a photo published in a magazine, I was floored when it happened and often when I talk about it to others I always credit Casey for inspiring me to pick up the Camera. Like Casey, I was once hungry too…I’ve try not to reflect on the past, but my past has turned me into what I am today. So happy for his success! Our minds are always turning with ideas, I just wish I had his way of telling it through the lens!
Listening to Casey's story made me feel so much relief in the situation I'm in right now. Great episode. Casey is one of a kind.
I was watching his vlogs for a while in college, never knew his story. What a legend and naturally funny 🙌
Casey is so humble, remember his first vlogs and videos of Mercedes commercials
Such introspective humble guy
I love this podcast so much!!! Such a great chat. New to your channel and I’ve subscribed. Casey is amazing! Love how down to earth he is, a genuine & hard working boss 🎉
I work building New York Iconic high riser from Hudson yard , freedom tower , and many other buildings. I share the love he has for this city , every time someone says they couldn’t live here is cause they never felt the energy that the city brings to you , you Truly feel like you can conquer anything with the rigth motivation. So happy to hear someone speak the truth about our city
A lot of people, and I mean a lot of people just like to live in the country.
@@badcornflakes6374 I can respect that, if it’s what brings you fulfillment and makes your life better I admire you living your dream. My point is you hear a lot of criticism about nyc from prople who know nothing about it. I wouldn’t tell you that your decision to live in the country is shit or judge your character as a person for it . People will pre judge you and have hate for your love of your city just because it’s an easy narrative.
I initially thought Casey was a Vlogger who came from money and glorified NY because it was trendy. I’ve always liked his content because it was well done but hearing his backstory and the grind he put in gave me perspective and such an appreciation of him.
As a NY native I’m proud to say he’s one of our own!!!
You definitely haven’t watched his videos as he goes over everything he talks about
@@m1ni430 never said they watched all his videos. they said they like his content.🖕
@@carey7465 ok Carey
You guys did a great job answering my questions about Casey's background and life - thanks so much!
This episode with Casey Neistat was amazing. Glad the guys talking with him went in depth into each of his stories.
I am a huge Casey fan and so when I see his name on any other channel I will watch it. He's not only inspired me but so many other creators to create. Those that create are many but those that inspire others to create will always be remembered.
Thanks for the amazing value from both sides. 👏👏
This was the episode I didnt know I needed. Favorite one in a while! Great hang
Didn't expect this but this has been my favorite flagrant episode this year so far
Casey’s 9/11 story is absolutely chilling
A side of Casey that I haven't seen in his vlogs, and I love it. One of the best podcasts I've seen.
By far the funniest guest in a while. It's crazy, the times I laugh the most isn't when there are comedians as guests. Also, probably one of the most inspirational episode of Flagrant history.
I have a 2 year old son with my GF and even though I am poor as shit, I am grateful that me or my kid doesn't have to struggle the way Casey did or the struggle that I went through when I moved to a foreign country at 7 years old with just my mom. That being said, his passion as a creator is incredible, and it should come to no surprise that a person so devoted to the art would eventually find success in their path, no matter their starting circumstances.
?
King of VLOGS. Man inspired me to just pick up and camera and shoot whatever. Crazy how much footage Casey has of his life. Iykyk. Good stuff Andrew.
Respect keep going
Idkbiwtk
Omg I call him the KING OF VLOGS TOO
Such an amazing podcast, and to think, we all knew and heard of Casey through his stories, but this was deeper insight into someone with an amazing life already.
Doesn’t feel like podcast, feels like I am listening to audiobook on Casey’s autobiography
The best interview you guys had in awhile imo.
This is a f***ing great interview! I kinda feel blown away from Casey's story. He should definitely do a movie about it
I don’t even know who Casey is tbh I’d never heard of him before this. But hearing him speak about New York and the appreciation he has for the city is real, it’s amazing to witness when someone cares about something so intensely
It’s also funny because his brother, Van, who lived there for 20 years with Casey absolutely fucking despises NY.
Crazy, I guess you must be young because I grew up with this guy
@@EstaDePiPi Calling someone young but saying you grew up with a guy who only started daily vlogs 7 years ago :D
@@trentbosnic lol 7 years ago.....before that
@@trentbosnic yes I’m 22 and was watching his vlogs in 2015 so if you completely missed it you must be incredibly young
The first time I watch a 3h podcast. Hats off for you guys. Hats of for Van and Casey who's art is bringing happiness and fun for us.
I think this is the most I’ve heard of/from Casey.. great episode, fun hang! Really enjoyed listening!!😎👍🏼
Man, that intro brought me back... Casey's vlogging days is goated
The moment you realized you watched a 3 hour video and it felt like 5 minutes. Loved this! ❤🤘
this is just nuts to see how wild Casey's story is and how big life is , dude just fought like an warrior , hopefully i'll meet him in person someday , literally " fck or fight " . would love to see Van and Casey working together to make something .
Killer intro and amazing guests recently, you guys are phenomenal
Watched it in one go. You guys are killing it with the guests 🔥 straight fire
wow, kinda crazy how great these guest episodes are when Schulz and the gang don't interrupt every 2 seconds and let the guest talk...
All the people saying Casey “made that story up”, “this is fucked up he’d make this up”, bro, are y’all forreal right now?
My favorite RUclipsr collabs with my favorite comedian? How can today get any better!?
I just hope he hasn't slept with any trannys like my other favorite comedians did.
Akash is ur favorite comedian?
Holy shit man, I’ve visited New York City once time, I’m from South Carolina, but when Casey went on that little rant about how much he loves the city, I got emotional, it made me wanna drop everything and move there and be something special .. wow
My fav pod of flagrant! I watched almost all daily vlogs by Casey. I would binge them like a TV show during my college.
On 9/11 I was a freshman I. Highschool. The most poignant moment for me was when someone saw me looking at the TV just glued to it. They asked me if I knew anyone who was there and I said yes. The absolute disconnection between the current reality and the past was striking when they asked “what does he do there?”
Like… you’re wondering what his job is? In the middle of this?
Pointless comment.
@@xanderscott807 Nah, you didn't watch the video.
This Podcast was awesome start to finish. Love the flagrant boys and Casey is an OG creative forsure. Got me amped for my own creative endeavors and added more fuel to the fire. Inspired & ready to continue to take chances as well as put in that work! F*ck of flight we goin for it...
The man that has inspired million of people. What a great guest, great episode! Casey is a legend!
That was a sick intro! Also, props on the chaptering 🤙
This is quite literally the best podcast episode I've ever seen. Ive been looking up to Casey ever since I first saw his hover board video in 2015. One of the main reasons I went through with becoming a filmmaker. Crazy.
Would be a blessing for Casey to come back to daily vids. OG viewers miss those vlogs!
OG viewers miss the pre-vlog days. The vlogs were great, but even greater was his series of viral videos and the earlier stuff from the HBO show with his brother... great storytelling there.
The "vlog" at the start is amazing ❤
Best podcast I've listened/watched in awhile, love Casey! The "and I pulled out AFTER I finished!" had me rolling lmao
Quite literally the best podcast I have ever listened to! Thank to the whole flagrant team and Casey ❤
I freaking love the first bit of you guys mimicking casey 😂
God miss old RUclips ❤
I teared up a few times watching this interview. Casey's love and passion for what he believes in is inspiring
First time I sat though a 3 hour interview.
Casey makes me remember why I love NY! I’ve moved over seas and south for Military service and now live in FL but there’s a void that can’t be filled by anything other than NY. Thank you Casey for your content, always takes me home.
The ONLY way to open Casey’s episode!!!! Hahaha love it
This was great! first time seen Casey in so long interview. enjoyed it a lot also the guys was great and funny.
Ive seen a bunch of interviews with Casey, but this by far has been the best one. 👏👏👏
Been watching since day one!! This was the one I was waiting for and it was GOOD!! Thanks
"The pull out after i was done" reaction was hilarious
i loved this episode, keep it up guys ! :)
This podcast is so good. The guy behind the Schulz cam could use an upgraded tripod head to smooth out some of those incredibly distracting movements.
At face value I wouldn’t think I’d be interested in this guy, but it is unbelievably captivating.
And I love the respect given to his older brother. Great stuff…
Casey never disappoints. always delivers Thank you for this
The hustle in this guys story is so god damn infectious! I'm willing to move to a different city take a bus to a train to make it happen!
Casey's story is so inspiring! The way he talks about it makes it even better.
Great interview. Love Casey and his videos. Probably wasn't this way back when you would have monetized, but these days, my channel is not monetized but YT still puts ads on my videos.
I LOST MY MIND AT THE OPEN. I thought it was a Casey vid. TOO GOOD!! 😂🤯
One of the best podcast episodes ever made. Fucking LOVE Casey. His vlogs were so inspirational during college and I'm still grateful to be a subscriber
This was excellent. Thank you all for your time and the brilliantly entertaining conversation.
I lived off caseys videos for soo long. Every day it was somthing to look forward to. Love this dude
