as a former NYC surfer (although I would use the subway with 2 transfers), I love how this video captures the difficult, chaotic, and time-consuming PROCESS it takes just to get out to the closest surf break at the Rockaways. And when you do get there, it's a bunch of closeouts; but every now and then, you catch one glorious wave that makes it all worth it. Welcome back home, Casey.
Only Casey can create the most Chaotic video and yet so creative, the most crazy and wild he can be and his videos and yet says what a gem of a creator he is. He never fails to mesmerize me with the story and the pace he comes up with. Not a single video is repeated like ever.

I can't quite place it - maybe it's the camera work coupled with the seamless editing, perhaps Casey's unique narrative style or the music that just perfectly fits the vibe each time. Whatever it is, whatever the video is about, everytime it gets me so pumped and happy.
The production value is pretty insane. Clips that last on the screen for just a brief moment take a lot of set up and planning. Just him walking down the stairs from his studio and riding his longboard down the street had like 20 different camera angles. He probably walked back and forth down that sidewalk 50 times getting all those shots lol. And we're only seeing the shots that made it in the final edit. It tells such a good story without even needing to explain anything.

But I’ll tell you what these videos and the energy that you’re giving off any excitement for being back home and NYC: is so contagious that I am so amped to start my planning to move back home to the city🗽🥰
This guy inspires me more than anyone else does in all honesty. Im so happy too see him back in New York and back on RUclips. Thank you for the amazing content Casey, can't wait for more.
4 years ago I was just getting into vlogging, both watching and creating. I used to watch Casey's videos and think "Look at all the fun he's having, riding around New York on a boosted board just going about his day like a badass". Fast forward to today, I've made over 250 RUclips videos for both my own channels as well as client work. When I watch Casey's videos now I just think "That looks exhausting". Poor dude isn't just riding around New York going about his day. He's riding into the middle of a busy street, putting his camera on the ground in the middle of traffic, going back 30 feet and riding by, then stopping and collecting his camera, x5-10 times for each sequence. It makes for a cool looking video but all I can think about is how much of a pain it would be to film your day like this, especially solo...
@@DaRKHuNTeRMK Yeah I know that. I'm just more commenting on my own journey of having been introduced to the RUclips creator space by Casey and having an idea of his style just looking so effortless. Then kind of coming full circle to where I now watch his videos and realize everything that would go into creating videos like this and realizing how staged it is. That doesn't make it less authentic in my mind. If anything it's impressive that he still achieves the feel of it being an effortless "day in the life" vlog despite the amount of work that clearly went into it.
Riding in NYC streets is exhilarating. Would bike to work several times a week before WFH. During the height of the pandemic I got a GoPro and started filming my rides on the empty streets. It's great to rewatch but has no where near the videography or planning that Casey does. Some people just have a vision for these things and are able to make it happen through hard work and talent.

He had a podcast for ages. I don't think he's more famous.
@@upfulsoul826 he is more famous after what happened with Netflix trying to censor his show. It brought him a lot of publicity.
Look at this shmuck - he spends a few years in LA and suddenly he's _driving a car_ around the city. He's gone full Hollywood.
;D Glad you're back Casey. Missed these videos.
So rad. Always love his energy, editing, creativity!
i feel so much nostalgia with these NYC vlogs coming back, god i missed it! glad youre back at it casey!
it can pass 100 years and NO ONE vlogs like Casey! GOAT
The legend is back
“Yes I can and yes I will and today’s the day”. What a great mantra. I had already made up my mind to move back to NYC: for a few years now let me be real for 12 years now I’m upstate I hate it I had to come up here for something and now it’s long overdue that I move back home I just saw that Casey moved back to Tane YC I just did the marathon and I’m doing the marathon next year again and I decided that I’m gonna speed up my timeline and move back to NYC: by next summer I’m gonna move back home too. But I’ll tell you what these videos and the energy that you’re giving off any excitement for being back home and NYC: is so contagious that I am so amped to start my planning to move back home to the city🗽🥰
Nothing better than a Casey upload. It's amazing to have you back.
wasn’t expecting to see Colt make a cameo, major s/o to his camera skills, he should be proud :))
I had to pause and go back to confirm it was actually him! And he was even credited at the end!
saaaaame
This guy inspires me more than anyone else does in all honesty. Im so happy too see him back in New York and back on RUclips. Thank you for the amazing content Casey, can't wait for more.
Welcome back !!!!! Always a joy to watch!
hope you keep bringing Shultz along with you his craziness adds another dimensions, also I want to see him cry like a baby keeping up to your pace
So great to see Casey creatively revitalized by being back in NYC! (Yet, California misses you Casey)
Hm.. while yes, this shit made him one of the richest youtubers ever.. and yes, that makes it worth it
Yeah. Gotta respect his hustle.
Some people just have a vision for these things and are able to make it happen through hard work and talent.
your videos are amazing. I love all the cammera views, your style is unique. I love your work. You are so tallented.
Feel like my whole world has collided.... andrew and Casey two of my all time fav.. they together somehow.. they know each other and hang out together... that's what I am here for. Hope to see more of Schulz here
Scam 👆
Colt helping out Casey definitely is a big W

Love the vibes Casey, keep going!💯❤
The time and effort that goes into your vlogs. They’re just incredible 👏🏻
My day always gets better when Casey uploads.
2:02 My man Dean Neistat rockin' "The Spirited Man" hoodie. Represent!
Man your recent energy after moving back to NYC is so inspiring!!
Casey is literally the neighbour upstairs whose job it is to drop things as loudly and as frequently as he can all day.
Those fast cuts are dope, As a person who uploads videos for youtube Dude the time you put into shooting, editing these videos is huge respect Casey
The amount of work Casey puts into setting up his camera, running back, walking by it, recording...repeat. IS MIND BOGGLING.
Mr. Neistat, tear down that wall!
when Casey’s vlogs went away the world went to shit. good things are coming, and i’m ready for them
