I never had a battery issue but once they go, its serious money since they don't manufacture the cells the same way anymore. I didn't have one issue with the car and its amazing how far ahead of the time the look of it was.
gas engine does drive the wheels in the volt... There is a direct coupling at certain speeds. Also this vehicle is RWD volt is FWD... Only connection between the wheels and the ICE is wires unlike the volt.
Saw one of these in traffic yesterday and its literally an unforgettable look. It pulls up and screams "dont fucking play with me." I had to do research on this thing.
I want to get one but that price is pretty high. I see a lot of Benz, Cadillac, and Lexus cars that cost a lot. That's the problem with those other brands, even though they cost a lot, there is a lot of them out there. I like owning something that is known but hardly seen. Lexus is way over rated

My dealer in Calgary, AB just became Canada's official dealer for these. Just took delivery of 21s which I get to test for a week. The attention you get in these things is more than an Aventador or any other car I've been in.
It doesn't matter if the tesla has a longer range, mind blowing acceleration, big ass center display and a full electric power because the main selling point of it is that it can drive itself. If someone can sell me a gasoline powered car that can also drive itself like tesla then it will be sold like hotcakes just like tesla.
All they had to do is read the market, drop a superched v8 and it would sell like hot cakes! Love the look bate the power train
