  • This is part 2 of 2 of Tommy Aldridge. He's is the power house drummer behind a lot of legendary bands such as: Ozzy, Whitesnake, Black Oak Arkansas, to name a few. His drums are Yamaha's Carbon Fiber Drum Kit, he plays Zildjian cymbals. He loved John Bonham as well. Check out this very informative and entertaining video. Keep Rockin' JOEDRUMS

I've only been recently been introduced to TA, but I'm a lifelong convert. He's just such a lovely bloke. And Jebus, those carbon fibre drums sound amazing.

back in the day he(you) played Sonor drums ...when a bass drum cost as much as a complete set(lol)...and he endorsed evans heads...this has been many years past--wondering why/how he evolved to the yamaha's of now? And if i must say you guys open'd for black sabbath back in the day (BOA-still remembering your drum solo from the Raunch/Roll album-and Cal Jam), So, your roadie who i thought was the greatest-was so cool......allowed me to come on stage and sit behind your kit(i didn't touch anything-as i was respectful -knowing that this is a rare happening and one of trust)...i was very young...but the image of looking out into a 12,000 seat arena behind your kit made me so fucking excited-i had to exhale- i wish i could have sound checked your kit(lol)...its was the biggest thing that could ever happen for a young drummer...then your roadie asked me would i like a used pair or a new pair of sticks *hell i wanted both) i asked for and he gave me a new pair...they looked like baseball bats(compared to what i played)...but to this day i still have them and i've never played them...they have your name in blue on the ends... Maybe one day i;ll meet you and you can sign them--you seem so down to earth in this video...and i wish you all the best!

Carmine did also , and Cozy powell at first , among few others
Fusion guys like Alphonse mouzon and Cobham and Narada had an almost speed metal intensity what they did too as funny it can sound

How do they say? "There are a lot of assholes out there." It's a shame. Tommy's drumming almost overshadows his contempt for being a decent person... but not quite.
