  • Give your RAM 1500 truck a practical performance boost with the K&N Series 77 High Flow Performance Cold Air Intake. Your truck’s factory air system can be restrictive, which can often lead to your engine not reaching its full potential. This cold air intake features a unique, free-flowing inlet tube design. When combined with the included high-flow air filter, you get an air system that delivers large amounts of cold air into your engine, ensuring complete fuel combustion. This results in boosts power and torque.
This K&N Series 77 Cold Air Intake provides its performance boost via its free-flowing design and does not need an ECU re-tune. That being said, your truck will always benefit from an ECU re-tune down the line as this will ensure you experience this cold air intake’s full potential.
To ensure superior air filtration, this cold air intake includes an oiled air filter that also offers less restrictive airflow as well as efficient filtration. This component uses a specialized cotton gauze filter media that requires maintenance only after 100,000 miles under normal driving conditions. And when it’s time for servicing, this air filter cleans easily using mild soap and water before being re-oiled using an appropriate filter.

Just an fyi for all of you out there. What these guys fail to tell us (because I just did it myself 2021 5.7) when you are removing the airflow sensor/temperature sensor it does not just "wiggle out" there are times like in my case where there is glue keeping the sensor from even turning. So when I turned mine I had to use a slight amount of force to break the glue and also break the two plastic pieces on the inside of the sensor because it would not come loose. I'm looking at his video and he to is missing the two wings made of plastic that are on the inside of the pipe. So I'm just putting this out there for all of you just know you may be breaking it as you turn. My sensor is slightly damaged but is still useable.

@@OEFveteran2010 with the exhaust there is no drone sound but you can hear the exhaust when cruising along but not nearly to an annoying level. I noticed that you didn't take the o-ring off of the Air Temperature Sensor. I've watched other videos for the same truck and intake and they say to remove this. Is there a reason you didn't remove the o-ring before installing into the grommet?

The K&N website specifically says this isn't for an etorque engine. However, I've heard from some that it's just because of a snug initial fit. Do you have any more details? I'd love to know if I can use the 77 series without much hassle.

Even if not Cali legal, California doesn't do smog test until the vehicle is 8 years old, unless it's sold or traded-in, then 4-years old. Smog test after that are every other year, so if it's easy to install, just change it before your smog test.
