This trailer... Whoooh... It really catches the essence of the game. Brilliant choice of music (Chopin - Nocturne in F minor). This part of the song suits the trailer so damn well. I’ve been playing The Witcher 2 and I liked the song already, but I didn’t see the trailer until now (2019). The combination is just jawdropping. I can’t hear the song now, without thinking about the game - wich is not a bad thing at all.
I have been a gamer since early 90's. For me this is one of the best trailers I have ever seen. Silent Assassin 47 2 trailers had something similar in way that is difficult to explain.
im here because of Cyberpunk :) final mission named nocturne op 55 no 1 this wonderfule chopin music became an intersection between some of my favorite franchises - Cyberpunk 2077, where it is the name of the final main mission and Hanako plays the music with her piano - Rick and Morty, where it is used for evil morty in the form of "for the damaged cola" - Witcher 2, a very cool trailer i've appreciated but never knew the music used in it!
I know that this is Chopin's Nocturne in F Minor, Op. 55 No.1 but does anyone know what version? I can't find one with the epic strings and intense crescendo at the end like this one.
+Igor Bajic (iggorr2-5) I think it's on the Roche path...you have to break the curse of that witch or some shit. I got that far on my first playthrough, but stopped around there. Went with Ivoreth on the playthrough I actually finished.
Bioware staff, especialy the writers, should be forced to play this game with scotch tape on eyes for hours even without a toilet break. They may learn something out of it. I doubt that though.
@SonGoku544 Not every company wishes to get the license to produce console games. Besides, the games graphics would burn out osme of the consoles, i would think.
This trailer is so beautiful...
Maximiliano Blitzkrieg yes...
This is probably the most beatiful, epic, awesome, emotional trailer ever created. Simply the best.
Right? I miss this trailer and from time to time come back to it... This called me to the series, and made TW2 way more appealing than TW3
Chopin…. How could you possibly go wrong with it? A genius.
my fav of all time too, still coming back to rewatch this 8 years later. Happy New Year!!

+shadow33399 I believe it to be their own composition.
rendition* ;)
Crafty Ape Thanks for the correction! Didn't notice that
If you search in youtube the name with the word "strings" you may get some good results.
The orchestration was made by Marcin Mirowski
Most obscure most beautiful trailer ever.

@Jenoss Chopin Nocturne Op. 55 No. 1

Bioware staff, especialy the writers, should be forced to play this game with scotch tape on eyes for hours even without a toilet break. They may learn something out of it. I doubt that though.

Witcher 3 has been confirmed! This time it is an open world!
LionOfCasterlyRock u are right and the witcher 3 is one of the best video games made in all time
even the trailer is mature.
who wrote this tune?
Frédéric Chopin (1810-1849). He composed it in 1842.
Still 2020...
why not for consoles...?
@SonGoku544 Not every company wishes to get the license to produce console games. Besides, the games graphics would burn out osme of the consoles, i would think.
Not true, just optimize it properly, and as you can see everything is sweet.
In my Life, i have see lots of beautiful things, but never like this
