"the degrees arbitrary, the definitions blurred, if i'm to choose between one evil and another, id rather not choose at all" such a badass line. But the ironic thing is that when this line was used in the book, he was caught in a moral dilemma between two sides he liked and was trying to make peace with them, but when they refused he had no choice but to ended up choosing the lesser evil in the end. If you havent read the books but is a fan of fantasy novels, i highly recommend this series, its truly one of the best, if not the best.
I haven't read the books, but I've played Witcher 2 and a LOT of Witcher 3. My interpretation of that line really rides on one word, and that's *rather*. Geralt isn't an idealist. He recognizes the necessity of a choice, even when it conflicts with his morals, and doesn't let that conflict turn to indecision or sloppiness. That's what I admire about him most, he is utterly in control of his actions without being an emotionless sociopath. That fits his portrayal in the games, I feel, and also seems to embody the teachings of the Wolf class. Thoughts?
@omegaman15 There are plenty of books, The Witcher is orignally a book series, the games are the direct sequel of the last book :) I also greatly recommend it, I read them all (In Polish, my mother tongue and the one the books were originally written, the author being Polish too... yeah no one cares, sorry, I wanted to say it so badly, lol) and it's clearly the best Dark-Fantasy books I've ever read :) Andrzej Sapkowski (the author) is a genius !
Thoughts?
