- Today I audit Milton Keynes Police Station. Not sure why so many Police Officers were taking Ice Cream breaks as it certainly was not 'that' hot..

"Caution children" seems very apt outside a police station. It should also say "and single women walking home late at night".
This is pure original auditing. No bullshit conversations, just a free member of the public immediately pushing back against a police service who see us as the enemy.

@@yardleyskiauditing cant wait. Love how you keep them on their toes by pointing out when they mess up their own policy and procedures. Lets not forget most of their procedures are legislated which means they are laws and to mess it up IS breaking the law. For example not telling you they are filming is illegal. A company, corporation or government that makes any record of you has to inform you of that record. Hence cctv signs or the police procedure to tell a member of the public that their body cam is on!
The sign on the gate says "Police Vehicles Only". Since when has a Mr Whippy Ice Cream Vehicle been a police vehicle? Great idea for an undercover operation though!
Well, considering the huge numbers of sex offenders and paedophiles being uncovered in the police, this would be an ideal bait vehicle to prey in the vulnerable

I love your approach Assertive yet informed. To me you've stayed true to the whole ethos of Auditing, highlighting and holding our public servants to account. Their reign of perceived Authority and bullying is coming to an abrupt end now that transparency and accountability is becoming so widespread. Wasn't one of their slogans 'If you've nothing to hide, you've nothing to fear'?

Assertion is not being rude sometimes you have to show these servants they work for us, it's the position they chose.Treat people with respect and it will be returned,try and bark orders and be disrespectful and you will be put in your place by the law abiding citizen.

A police constable is a servant to the crown- As are many civil servants- DOES NOT MEAN THAT THEY ARE ALSO NOT PUBLIC SERVANTS. Crown servants-and others employed by the state in whatever legal form-ARE PUBLIC SERVANTS
Giving you unwanted pointless directions, was obviously more important than the call-out they were on. Maybe they were going to tell someone to wear better shoes when walking on a pavement or another ice-cream van has been spotted.

Phase 2. Plod begin to learn. Begin to respect.
Phase 3. Today. This is my concern - and seen here in spades. These are the new breed, the idiotic young hires on £22k with ZERO life experience. ZERO skills. Zero policing experience . Zero training.
So we will have to train them…
PS. They won’t last long. 70+ assaulted at NH Carnival. 200+ assaults, knifing and a murder. They can’t police real crime either…

Hi Yardley, you start this one in fine style!, each of the police officers who stops to speak to you does so in the typical authoritarian manner that they feel entitled to.
This could be in conflict with the concept of them as 'public servants', it would seem that while we might think that is what they are they do not!, is this part of the accepted culture that they create between themselves regardless of what they are told by the managers and training sessions.
There is a groundswell of opinion and assumption of entitlement which all of them take for granted and expect the rest of us to accept.
When the two young cops come out they say hello pleasantly enough but then fail to introduce themselves properly and then will not tell you exactly who has told them to talk to you, this failure to deal with you properly gives you every good cause to protest as you do, the point you rightly make about the way they should have told the person that sent them that you were doing nothing wrong!, this can only mean that they were indeed lying and really only wanted to threaten you in some way.
There are alternate explanations of course, mostly relating to the current fashion for being seen to be dealing with public order issues without actually doing anything useful.
It does look as if by the end of your session that word had got round to leave you alone!, a case of thrice bitten once shy!.

Instantly lying and not knowing their own policies shows their training and respect for the public just doesn't compute with the mind set of most officers, even with the ones that know you're not breaking the law. Police station ice cream man contract is worth millions per year.
So they sent out an armed para military police officer to check out and hone his interrogation skills, on a dangerous man with a camera. Such was the threat level that he completely forgot the cad number and the fact that he should tell you that he was filming ... we feel sooooo blessed that he is on our team

Brilliant Audit, as ever YS. I love the way you dealt with the two male cops. Very assertive and not at all rude. You explained to them their policy and their failures to comply with policy and also told them to Foxtrot Oscar very clearly.
Your attitude changed with the smiley lady cop around 12:30 - But she TOLD you to have a good day!! Why did you let her off with that?....What entitles her to think she can order you what kind of a day to have?

Absolutely brilliant!!!! The time wasted on confronting innocent auditors is shocking when you hear of stories of the police not attending burglaries and other crimes. Please continue doing what you do and maybe the politicians will take notice and make the police more accountable for their actions, including not caring if you put a complaint in against them. I would discipline officers if they infringe on the rights of members of the public and make them pay for any compensation awarded to an innocent member of the public. Take care and carry on 👍

I could easily improve the efficiency of the police entering the station, all they need is to open the passenger window, and use a litter picking stick to present the door entry card to beep their way in, saves time and improves ‘officer safety’

The sign on the gate states 'Police Vehicles Only' - this will partly be because of insurance policies in place. If someone was injured by the ice cream van, the building's insurance would not cover the injury; the ice cream van should not be inside the gates and the staff now that.
If the staff wilfully ignore those policies, why should we expect them to uphold the law and our rights?
I just love the way that you tell PLOD 'NO' youre not going to listen to them. And PLODS face when you tell them is priceless. They are used to barking out their instructions and people doing what they say.

Cops thinking is usually totally backwards. When they get notified of a legal activity going on then can travel quite the distance just to go tell that person that someone saw you doing a legal activity, then they ask you why you're doing a legal activity and best case they tell you that it's ok that you're doing your legal activity. They could save a lot of time and money by doing exactly what Yardley said: just tell the idiot who notified them that there is no law broken and that people should stop calling cops for legal acitivties. But then we would probably make many cops obsolete or worst case they would actually have to try to solve real crime.
It happens again in the next video.. Hendon out later this week... My reaction is just as harsh..

The architect cocked-up with the Entrance/Exit, he forgot to put in a traffic island for swiping in and out. They have to get out of the cars to reach the keypad when one up!

Security is not up to much if they let an Ice cream van in each week for the children to gather at ! Who okayed that ? Maybe its the undercover police branch just feeding there mates at the end of shift and making it look like a simply ice cream van.
The BWVs were proposed to be always on when they were first deployed - this would have saved a lot of trouble if police knew they were constantly being recorded including their words.
Allowing them to turn them on and off whenever they like and edit them afterwards means the opposite happens - they can exploit this.
At least you have BWVs down there. Up here in Scotland the Police would rather waste public money on stupid things like electric cars when they don't have any chargers, defending the indefensible acts if their officers and then throwing them to the wolves when it is proved they were in the wrong, paying out vast amounts of public money in settlements and saying they have learned from their mistakes before carrying on and doing it all over again. If they took all the public money they wasted and invested it in BWVs instead then at least the law abiding public would stand a chance of receiving justice when the Police break the law unlike at present. It would of course also help if the money came out of their own pockets .
You can't edit them. It gets uploaded on to a server and saved. No officer can edit them
@@yariforster4745 The editing, Sarah refers to, is when BWC footage is requested, sound is muted, parts are cut out etc.
The bw is 99.9% muted at the start anyway, usually for 59 seconds. So if they activate their bw as soon as they start speaking to you, it's not going to capture any sound for at least a minute.
They can't "Edit" or cut anything out. They can clip the footage and use what is relevant to send to CPS or the CJU as it THOSE departments that don't want the whole footage sent. If anyone wishes to view the footage (within reason) then this can be done through the Freedom of Information process. But unless you are directly involved in the matter then the likelihood of you viewing it is going to be slim to none, hence data protection act

If you request it with a SAR, you will get some of it and they will blur nearly every other detail apart from your own face. That is redaction done by the police to the original source video.
The only way to get unedited BWV is with a disclosure order from a judge in a criminal or civil case.
Ice Cream could refer to kiddi stuff as outlined in the FBI symbols

Why did you not Question “how the heck did the ice cream van was allowed in the secured area” so anybody can hijack an ice cream van and be allowed into secure area of the police 👮 police 🚔 station
Yardley, I find this video alarming. How many times have you been detained and searched under Sec 43? How many times have you been accused of hostile reconnaissance? How many times you been told that police stations are under threat from terrorist? Not only you, but the likes of Kolee, AB, NNY and TPONTP?
Time and time again I watch these videos where cops play the terrorist card and refer with such emphasis to the ‘Current Threat Level’ yet here we have an ice cream van in their yard! Are they crazy or just plain stupid? They’re more concerned about a man outside with a camera than they are with a potential terrorist in the guise of an ice cream merchant.
I’ve followed you from word go, I’ve seen the crap you’ve been through at Charing Cross, Rwanda House and many more; accused and treated like a terrorist just so they can rough you up and ruffle your feathers. Yet here we have the scenario of an ice cream merchant building up a rapport with a cop shop in order to gain access to their yard and potentially drive a bomb into the yard and blow them all to kingdom come. Either that or carry a number of heavily armed terrorists through the gates. The whole situation is ludicrous and very scary.
