Ah, I thought it was Alto cause I went for this choir seminar and they taught us this song (I'm an alto by the way :D). We sang it this way. Literally! Although we had guys as Tenors and Baritones and Basses, still sounded dope! To me, I mean xD
I have a range from S2 to T1, so I can see maybe being mistaken for a guy on my low end. 😅 I usually sat in the Alto 2 spot most comfortably but if they needed a tenor spot with a female sound, it’s definitely workable. The alto part here isn’t an issue with how low it is. I love how broad the female range can be. 😊
Since we’re calling out random people: the girl at 2:48 makes me so happy. She just looks genuinely excited to be there and her face looks so friendly lol.
They teach us to sing “up down” with our mouth in an o shape in elementary school instead of “side side” so our notes don’t sound like ‘e’. I believe she might just be doing it for the perfect O sound I hear from the entire choir

If it's any language it's most likely Sami. And Scandinavia isn't a country, it's a collective name for Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Finland and Denmark. Edit: Correction, Scandinavia is only Sweden, Norway and Denmark.
The song is Vuelie and it was written for the film by South Sámi musician and composer Frode Fjellheim, who adapted it from one of his earlier songs, Eatnemen Vuelie (Song Of The Earth). His music draws on joik, an ancient vocal tradition that was outlawed when Nordic Indigenous communities were Christianized (like what Canada did with the Potlatch ban).
Thank you for this insight.. its so fantastic to learn that Disney takes such care of peoples history and man did it sound awesome in the movie.. I just wonder why they decided to record this masterpiece in a Christian church :/
This is just gorgeous. I fell in love with the song in the first Frozen movie and in seeing this, it's just so beautiful. Even when I close my eyes and listen to it, I can picture mountains and woods in my head during winter and fall and even spring and summer. So relaxing.
Notice how these ladies allow the music and words to physically sway them. They are not bogged down by the rigidity of westernized music we so often see. They allow themselves to be moved….stunning
Yes, it's Scandinavia. So? We, people of European ancestry should all be united and proud of our motherland, for we are more than a thousand: We are one. Even having our differences. No wonder Europe is being destroyed today, for its people aren't proud of it and united anymore.

BUNADS ARE SO PRETTY
1:23 and 2:45... is sounds so cool with those full-blast strong vocals. Like some folk song you'd sing in mountains and wait for an echo.
this is the music of my soul . Just takes me somewhere really beautiful, peaceful and full of the highest love and light. I listen to this every time I feel down and it brings me back to my centre : )
I'll be honest - I just learned that the most prominent nationality in my blood is Scandinavian and I got a little emotional watching this. ❤️
PixarShark Same here for both! This song brings tears to my eyes. It reminds me of my Scandinavian ancestors.
Elsa1942 Yea its Viking Nord right, we hear the Stormdrum in this song :D
I thought it was Norwegian
If it's any language it's most likely Sami. And Scandinavia isn't a country, it's a collective name for Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Finland and Denmark.
Edit: Correction, Scandinavia is only Sweden, Norway and Denmark.
it is norwegian but it's an acient culture from the north of the country called sami
Beautiful just puts me to tears. I love this so much dontcha know
The song is Vuelie and it was written for the film by South Sámi musician and composer Frode Fjellheim, who adapted it from one of his earlier songs, Eatnemen Vuelie (Song Of The Earth).
I sang this back in school when frozen just came out in our chamber choir and the shivers i felt when i got, omg
100th time listening to this today
Edit: And counting
This is just enchanting. I’ve never heard anything more beautiful or otherworldly before.
I keep replaying this over and over again... just cant stop loving it!
Maybe one of this ladies is named Samantha
Edit: thank you to the people who liked this comment😊❤️

Anyone with ancestry in Europe should love this song. It kind of expresses the mystery and beauty of Europe as well as the explorer attitude.
David DeBergh No it would be Scandanavia
Lol Europe is not one country.
Yes, it's Scandinavia. So? We, people of European ancestry should all be united and proud of our motherland, for we are more than a thousand: We are one. Even having our differences. No wonder Europe is being destroyed today, for its people aren't proud of it and united anymore.
You didn't understand a word of what I said and made wrongful assumptions about my words, while not respecting my opinion. I will not argue with a child.
Americans are funny
This is one of my favorite part in Frozen 2. Where they sang this, I'm literally having a goosebumps everytime I hear this song. My heart ❤️ So beautiful
My choir sang this song, and as an Alto 2 it was such a powerful sound. This was my favorite song out of the concert, and seeing the looks on the little kid's faces when we started was priceless
Lights go down in the cinema - this comes on *goosebumps*
Idk something about indigenous music resonates within me and makes me feel ♡spicy♡ inside I love cultural music like this so much
I've been in love with this choir and melody since 2014 ♥
This... is so
Beautiful
I like their vest, and the way their eyes sparkled.
My daughters favorite song we play it every day! Amazing song from Frozen!
凄く心地よくて直ぐに寝れる、、、!!!!!ありがとうございます。😭
I would love this chant to be our national anthem
This was an interesting find. I'm glad this was available. I love finding the cultural influence behind Disney.
The beauty of music, it transcends language barriers. Love this song
Vowel unification is remarkable. What a wonderful sound
