@@Hitman47451512 no I never had, but it was the first thing that came to my mind when I was listening to it.

Have you heard of angel's voice?
This is the most beautiful version of this song I've heard. Incredible.

WERE angelic. This was 4 years ago and most of these boys have hit puberty. Honestly so bittersweet to see your boy with the literal voice of an angel one year and the next they're still just as loud but leaning more towards the demonic 🥲 at least these boys' parents have beautiful videos to remember the prepubescent angel days by now! VHS home videos were worse than nothing 😂
I'm a half soprano in an opera choir and we are preparing Carol of the bells too, what a majestic performance these boys did.
This makes me miss school choir. Singing in a church always has the best acoustics ever. When performing, you're kind of focusing on yourself and the conductor. I remember hearing a recording of us and I was blown away. So that's what the audience hears.
🙏🎤
O
Yep, thanks to the echo churches are ideal for soft songs, but absolutely rubbish for normal talking. 😫
I miss it too, it was the best feeling a few days before Christmas Eve, everyone ist in good mood and then the nice Accustic, hopefully next year again
choir recordings are never as good as hearing it live ^^
It's finally December, I am gonna listen to these angel voices everyday
Do you know that this is a Ukrainian song?
Shchedryk was arranged by Ukrainian composer Mykola Leontovych at the beginning of the 20th century. The song is based on the traditional Ukrainian folk chant welcoming the New Year (shchedrivka). In 1921, the Ukrainian National Chorus sang the song in the United States to a sold-out audience at Carnegie Hall. Later, Peter J. Wilhousky rearranged the melody for the orchestra and wrote the new lyrics in English thus creating Carol of the Bells. The original Shchedryk by Leontovych was intended to be sung a cappella by a mixed four-voice choir.
Wait a second...Azul?

I’m in a girls choir and have a high voice. How, just how, do boys sing such high notes. I absolutely adore this choir ❤️
They haven't hit man-hood yet...per-pubecent.
This carol always takes me to another level, the harmonies are so beautiful and the voices are out of this world . I hope these Christmas carols are sung forever and that in the future these precious Christmas traditions are not allowed to die .

Carol of the Bells was written in 1916 by Ukrainian composer Mykola Leontovich and titled “Shchedryk,” the song tells the tale of a swallow flying into a household to proclaim the plentiful year that the family will have. The song’s title is derived from the Ukrainian word “shchedryj,” which means “bountiful.”

@@jesusmind1611 math is global too, like this melody. Still the whole world praises great mathematicians, who've made math possible as language. Such names as Pythagoras, Newton, Einstein are worldly renowned. The world has to know it's heroes. The same goes with music. The art of Bach, Mozart and Tchaikovsky is universal - still we know their names as creators of this universal art and we know their roots. This is the respect to the music itself. The same with Carol of the Bells. It has become universal and because of that we have to pay tribute to the authors: Ukrainian traditional culture and Mykola Leontovych.

Angelic voices. God bless them
Never in my life , i heard such beautiful performance, of this Christmas song , this is incredible.
Greeting from Ukraine! I'm so proud of this Ukrainian masterpiece of Ukrainian composer M. Leontovych.
I am grateful to Mykola Leontovych and to all the tradition of Ukrainian music which he drew on to compose this. It is all so very beautiful!
And blessings and well-being to all of you there.
Angels must have composed this song and angels are surely singing it! My favourite Christmas carol and probably the most beautiful version I've ever heard!
Mykola Leontovych composed it, as Shchedryk a new year's song based on Ukrainian traditional folk music, & in which a swallow flies into a home to bless it for the coming year, based on Ukrainian tradition. He then found an English speaking lyricist of Ukrainian (& Polish) descent a few years later to write lyrics for this version with him. He credited Ukrainian tradition with the composition, & so did not claim the score as his own, but wanted to share the beauty.
