Hi there thanks for the review !! :) I’ve discovered 2 version of the gigabyte rtx 2060 super gaming oc ... ver 1.0 and ver 2.0 What are the difference ...? Are the same pcb and power ? Thanks
I've just brought the Windforce OC, performs much better than my 1060 and that is where it ends. I have major concerns with the temps this card reaches, on a synthetic benchmark like Heaven it went straight to the top and hit is temperature target of 83c (this was straight out of the box at default settings), I have managed to get that down by tweaking the fan curve by making it much more aggressive. I have only had the card a few days but I am seriously considering sending it back. This is the first time I have purchased a non ASUS card and i'm not that impressed by build quality either. The backplate is plastic, no LED or RGB lighting. The card doesn't suck, as I said the performance is great and I get really good FPS on my games. The Thermals are rubbish. I wish this review also mentioned the temps on the cards in detail, as i'm hoping it may just be a duff card and not an inherent issue on how the deals with dissipating heat. The reality for me at the moment is, I have to run the fans on this card maxed out so it doesn't cook itself, surely that cannot be right. Thanks
No I still have the card, I downloaded MSI afterburner and played around with the fan curve, this has really helped to keep the thermals in check, its now hitting 71c in Heaven which is a massive improvement. In general playing F1 2019 it runs at about 63c average. Overall i'm happy with the card now, it just took some tweaking to get it in a good place. It performs really well, hitting 100 fps on high/ultra settings in F1 2019, my rig was built in 2013, current CPU is 3570k o/c to 4.3Ghz. other games, GTA5, less of an issue as it seems to be more CPU bound so the GPU stays between 39-50c. I'm currently putting a Ryzen build together, once I have that up and running I intend to use the 2060 in that and put my 1060 back into my old rig for my son.
@@andyh9301 Nice to read you're happy now. I've just got me the same card and I'll be pairing it up with a Ryzen 5 2600x this weekend. I'll see how many fps I get on The Division 2.
My Gigabyte RTX 2060 Super Windforce Dual fan ended up reaching 88C. Had to RMA it as I'm pretty sure that's NOT the normal temperature range, even for a high end card like this. The 2080 doesn't even get to 80 C on full load.

Although you did show the 5700 XT in the benchmarks, it was not included in the power consumption, temps, or acoustics. Is there any particular reason that the AMD card was omitted from them?
These 2060 Supers are all you need for 1080p and 1440p gaming... Paired with a 144hz monitor you are good for the next 5 yrs with this card, ultra settings on any game.
Why would you mention RTX over the 5700XT on a '60s card? did you try turning rtx on on 1440p or even 1080p to see the perf drop? The only way to go Nvidia on this money are the drivers. not rtx.
why does my gigabyte rtx 2060 super gaming oc 3x has only one 8 pin pci connector without a USB Type-C? for a oc card doesn't it need 8 & 6 pin connection?
No??? most cards NOW with 2 connectors are one 8 pin for power and the 6 pin for RGB's... They are so efficient now 8 pin supplies all the power you need... even overclocking you will only gain 3-8 fps MAX anyway so almost isn't worth hammering your card to begin with... This card has the logo only in led so 8 pin is all it needs.. The Aorus will have an 8 and a 6 for shizzle.
Not at all. It does however run quite abit hot, due to the plastic backplate. Remove it, and you will see a noticeable temp drop. Out of the cheap 2060 Supers, this is probably the best.
Dont buy AMD... On christmas I bought the RX 5700, it destroyed itself after 30 minutes of doing nothing. I send it back and got another Rx 5700. After one day it broke again. AMD Drivers are hilariously bad i guess.. I am not the only one with this problem.
@@YotakuMC I was all ready to buy the RX 5700 XT. Thankfully i always read the reviews and look at how much bad feedback products get. A quick browse on AMD support forums and even some videos on youtube confirmed the problem was a big one. Im now looking at GTX 1660 upto RTX 2060. The only think im concerned about now is will it work good in the Alienware GPU amp enclosure and how much of a bottleneck my CPU will create, i7 6820 HK
5700xt still has problems and im getting the white gaming oc triple fan one because i have the monney for it and i want artx card anyways not somthing that is repeatedly unstable and driver errors ...i want somthing that works all the time not somthing that dosent work all the time regardless of performance increase lol XD
I mean if you only compare RX 5700 XT, the 2060S Windforce, and the 2060S Gaming, then the logical buy would be the WINDFORCE. wondering why??? Sure RX 5700 XT is the BEST DEAL UPFRONT (no doubt about that), but from what I see, it was only 10-20% more FPS than the Windforce with the Windforce with significantly less power draw, the 237W (2060S Windforce) vs 304W (RX 5700 XT). That's around 67W difference and remember Electrity Bills are RECURRING COSTs!
68C for Windforce OC? The hell? Mine easily goes towards the mid 70s in games like RDR2 on full load. ANd no it's not a fan issue, even with the sideplate off it goes to low 70s.
its also on a 7nm die but somehow manages to be way more power hungry and hotter. I think this is why team greens going with the samsung method on their new Ampere 7nm.
I haven't seen benchmarks, but I would imagine the performance hits using rtx on the 2060 Super make it a completely wasted feature. For that price point, my money would go to the 5700XT no question. It's worth mentioning that even if I had the money for a 2070 Super, I'd still get the 5700XT because the minimal performance gains are not close to being worth an extra $100. I really hope AMD puts out a 5800XT and 5900XT.
I didn't try both but judging by some video comparisons, the gigabyte performed better in terms of fps.. not sure about other things such as heat and noise
Why do i get with the same card (3x) only 40-60 fps on far cry ND (all max, vSync off, frame limit off) Ryzen 5 2600, asus bf 450 gaming, 16gb ddr4 cl16 3200mhz... Why?? Drivers are update, win 10 also
Because Ryzen is a workload cpu not a GAMING cpu…… You would gain an average of 10-15 fps with a intel 9400f, this is a 6 core 6 thread cpu that sells for 150.00 from intel...

That one burned up on me in a month. Microcenter swapped me to the EVGA 2060s 8g sc ultra, it was the same price point. Hi this video needs updated, the v2 of the 3x fan now has the same boost clock?? I think it was overheating too much?
why does my gigabyte rtx 2060 super gaming oc 3x has only one 8 pin pci connector without a USB Type-C? for a oc card doesn't it need 8 & 6 pin connection?
No??? most cards NOW with 2 connectors are one 8 pin for power and the 6 pin for RGB's...
Those cards are both selling for well above £400 at the moment lol. The gaming OC is £460 on OC atm :(
Just got mine 2nd hand for 240
i have this one in white but only have an 8 pin connector??
So whats the better gpu
Great review!!!
in my country, that would cost you around $700 so I envy you!

My computer guy tells me Radeon cards always run hot.
Now I know what I've been delivering too you XD - Mike
Whats the differnce between the white and black version?
Colour maybe?
is the windforce oc very loud or no?
Not at all.
It does however run quite abit hot, due to the plastic backplate.
Remove it, and you will see a noticeable temp drop.
Out of the cheap 2060 Supers, this is probably the best.
What is the size? 👀
The problem with the 5700 etc is I believe it’s amd and that means open cL and not cuda. Adobe premier and after effects works better with cuda cards
I do not understand people who care about RGB on their graphics card? Do you look at your graphics card inside the case while you use the computer?
Yes
The millenials who also rush out to be ripped off by the latest Apple iphones I imagine.
They are the same price here in Canada at 569.99 CAD might as well get the gaming oc then
Does anyone know the dimensions of the 3 fans one ?
How much better would these be than an rx580 at 1080p?
Much much better.
Which is better?
Thats f uckin insane jarvis
what is overclocking settings for this gpu
Please, make review about Gigabyte RTX 2060 SUPER AORUS.
I am so scared to buy XT 5700. Some say its ok, some hate it and than take 2070 s. I have 2-3 months to decide, so will look at :D thx 4 vid
Dont buy AMD... On christmas I bought the RX 5700, it destroyed itself after 30 minutes of doing nothing. I send it back and got another Rx 5700. After one day it broke again.
AMD Drivers are hilariously bad i guess.. I am not the only one with this problem.
@@YotakuMC thx maybe 2070 would be better
@@Filip234U Avoid AMD when it comes to GPUs
@@YotakuMC I was all ready to buy the RX 5700 XT. Thankfully i always read the reviews and look at how much bad feedback products get. A quick browse on AMD support forums and even some videos on youtube confirmed the problem was a big one. Im now looking at GTX 1660 upto RTX 2060. The only think im concerned about now is will it work good in the Alienware GPU amp enclosure and how much of a bottleneck my CPU will create, i7 6820 HK
5700xt still has problems and im getting the white gaming oc triple fan one because i have the monney for it and i want artx card anyways not somthing that is repeatedly unstable and driver errors ...i want somthing that works all the time not somthing that dosent work all the time regardless of performance increase lol XD
wanting to upgrade my brothers systen from a 1660 to a 2060
I mean if you only compare RX 5700 XT, the 2060S Windforce, and the 2060S Gaming, then the logical buy would be the WINDFORCE. wondering why??? Sure RX 5700 XT is the BEST DEAL UPFRONT (no doubt about that), but from what I see, it was only 10-20% more FPS than the Windforce with the Windforce with significantly less power draw, the 237W (2060S Windforce) vs 304W (RX 5700 XT). That's around 67W difference and remember Electrity Bills are RECURRING COSTs!
Anyone know if the RGB lighting can be controlled with Aura sync or Corsair Link (or what ever it is called)??
Only Gigabyte rgb fusion
Kaikai79_ Ok, thanks
Why is my card going to 84 degrees ? I got the wind force RTX 2060 super.
Same here man
Did you mess up something in fan curve maybe, or it is bad flowing air in your case ? i own gaming OC and never go above 74 degrees in full load.
Do an undervolt
gaming oc or Asus Rog Strix RTX 2060 Super o8g?
rog strix
Is this card vr ready?
No can barely play minecraft...
I just started building a PC and i have every part except the Graphics Card😭😭😭
68C for Windforce OC? The hell? Mine easily goes towards the mid 70s in games like RDR2 on full load.
ANd no it's not a fan issue, even with the sideplate off it goes to low 70s.
VDA yeah man not the best for cooling. Next time i learned you should go for a more trusted brand
Rx 5700 xt has two things missing. No RTX and no stable drivers.
its also on a 7nm die but somehow manages to be way more power hungry and hotter. I think this is why team greens going with the samsung method on their new Ampere 7nm.
Nvidia never had bad launch drivers for 20xx... /s

AMD needs to come out with some non blower 5700xts and fanless X570 Chipsets. Until then they aren't even worth mentioning.
Plastic back plate? Com on !
Yea wait for aftermarket rx 5700 xt.. i can't wait so i go for the windforce😀
This card or msi 2060 super gaming x
I didn't try both but judging by some video comparisons, the gigabyte performed better in terms of fps.. not sure about other things such as heat and noise
benchmarks start at 7:58

Why do i get with the same card (3x) only 40-60 fps on far cry ND (all max, vSync off, frame limit off)
Ryzen 5 2600, asus bf 450 gaming, 16gb ddr4 cl16 3200mhz...
Why??
Drivers are update, win 10 also
Because Ryzen is a workload cpu not a GAMING cpu…… You would gain an average of 10-15 fps with a intel 9400f, this is a 6 core 6 thread cpu that sells for 150.00 from intel...
watch videos, gaming ryzen 2600 vs 9400f... lol. Sorry. If you are serious about gaming it's Intel and Nvidia, period.....
That one burned up on me in a month. Microcenter swapped me to the EVGA 2060s 8g sc ultra, it was the same price point.
