- In this special Hero Showdown we get to showcase the pre-constructed Monarch Blitz Decks for the first time! The Light side is represented by new LSS staffer (and Calling Top-8 competitor!) Calum, piloting the Light Warrior hero Boltyn. He is face-to-face with the Shadow Brute Levia, in the hands of none other than game developer Jason.

WTR was alright, after wizard showed for some headaches and now Monarch with the soul and banish mechanics, I think my brain isn’t ready for Kingdom yet, this game is just getting better and better

@@endtimestcg5146 The game is easy to learn and hard to master, just like magic imo, more you are playing more you are seeing the combo between the cards (specially in wizard)

I will say that I'm impressed how often I see gameplay of this TCG usually end with both players are one hit away from death. I'm not sure how often it actually occurs as I've not been able to play this game myself thanks to a few reasons, but it's still great to so consistently see.

My brother opened a card shop last week, big Pokémon guy. We cracked open these decks the other night and started to learn how to play, this video seriously helps understanding gameplay, I’ve been using boltyn those combos can be deadly!

I’m feeling shadow brutes for sure !! I need this because I’m still learning me and my friends all just started 3 of us , we went to our first armory event today it was really fun because it was literally my first time ever playing a tcg , also in public with other people, it was cool I needed better deck building skills also .I got interested a few months ago and just have been slowing learning what I can wherever I can and I like watching these , this is the first thing I have been excited about in a long time ,I have been laid off from my job as an ironworker for months , and found FAB ,I’ve literally not shut up about in months all my friends are probably tired of hearing about it ,

mentor looks good, but what about mentor for rangers in future? they take place in arsenal and don’t give opportunity to play arrows.

I'm really enjoying the way this game looks and plays. It reminds me of UniVersus (formerly Universal Fight System), but with a Star Wars CCG (Decipher) cost payment mechanic, and a fantasy aesthetic. I love it. 😁

Good video, I'm trying out shadow brute and it was nice to see a full playthrough. One suggestion for your videos though is to really up the audio levels. I had to almost maximize volume on headset just to hear. Which would be very bad if I got a loud notification from something else. 😅
Hrmm, didn't know when an equipment is destroyed it goes into the graveyard... there goes all the people protecting their Legendary equipments in hard cases lol
Is the official FaB channel pitching out of order? I thought you had to play an action card and then pitch the value for it. This matters with Rhinar and his discarding a random card bc if they pick the only card that can pitch for the value of the attack, it won't attack.

How was the combat chain closed after dread screamer? Isn't the combat chain only closed when a non attack action card is played after an attack? Are you allowed to elect to close the combat chain as the attacker?

When a chain link resolves, the turn player may continue
the combat chain by playing another card with sub-type 28 29
Advanced Rules - Combat Chain
attack or an activated ability with the effect attack. If they
do, it becomes the attack step of chain link N, where N is 1 +
the number of previous chain links on the combat chain. If
they don’t, the combat chain closes, all permanents (such
as weapons and equipment) return to their respective
zones from the combat chain, and all other cards are put
into their owners graveyard, then the turn player gains
priority.
You can choose to close the chain then you get priority to do what you want. Will probably be clarified in the comp rules this week.

100% you need a starter kit that can get help get casual newcomers ease into things. Booster boxes are not it, your Blitz decks are too advanced and new people won’t buy decks off of ebay. Make this game accessible folks
Sorry, I thought that Express lightning is 0 cost to do 4 Dmg, but if you cast it with an additional cost 1 then you may charge hero's soul.

Coincidentally enough, I bought these Blitz decks today.
Question. 16:24 the defencing player blocked with his all cards and drew four new. Since it wasn't his turn, how was it possible? I thought that you draw cards only at the end of your own turn.
Ahh okk I get it. Since he had no cards he instantly finished his next turn

isnt there a rule that equipment have to be sleeved in a color separate from the rest of your deck? I always thought that was a interesting rule not sure if its true tho.

dont you close every single combat chain when its resolved and then pass to another if able !?!?!? ...how can Mr Jason " decide" on not closing the chain if he wants ....am i missing something here ? thank you for the anwers :)
Wow, that was a weak Boltyn. Boltyn usually chaining 3 to 5 attacks with Axe of Mind.

Hi, great match! Based on what does jason decide to put Unworldly Bellow to the graveyard during his turn at 11:00 minute mark? Why does it not stay on the chain until it closes after playing Graveling Howl, they would both go to graveyard in the end is the same outcome? I see no benefit during that turn or the next one to make that choice.. The same play is also made between 14:22 and 15:42 please explain why and based on what rule, he is able to place that card from a chain to the graveyard, and then contineu the chain!? It looks like he closes the chain and opens a new one, but if he does he should avoid his blood dept again, wich he does not so I need to assume he continues in the same chain, how and why !?!?
I don't play the game, and there's a lot to unpack here, but based on comprehensive rules v1.3, 19.8, "When a ‘non-attack’ action card or instant card has finished resolving, it is put into its owner’s
graveyard unless it has a card sub-type that makes it become a permanent in the arena, such as aura or item." It finishes resolving because both players have implicitly passed priority (19.1), but also because he needs it to, i.e. the effect of "next attack will have +3" won't apply unless that action has resolved. As for your question about avoiding blood debt, I feel like you're assuming it resolves at the end of every combat chain, but it occurs the once during the end of turn phase

It looks like it makes a big difference for shadow brute!

In the latest match they comment, you can always choose to close the chain.
Also if a non attack action card resolves, it goes into the graveyard.

I am confused about Blood Debt. In the main rulebook it says the card has to be face up in the Banished zone to take effect, meaning you’ll only take 1 pt of damage each turn? Are cards underneath the top card considered face up in the Banished zone?? I mean, obviously they are face up but you cannot see them. So I need to keep track of how many BD cards are in Banished zone?

not too thrilled about this card game
I was hoping to watch this to get interested in the game. But the person on the right who is non-stop playing with their cards was so distracting and annoying, for someone trying to understand the game, that I had to stop the video.
I'll look up some more videos because the game does seem to me that it would be great. I don't mean this to be rude or hurtful, just my opinion as a viewer who has no experience looking to get interested in the game. I'm sure for players who already know the game, etc it wouldn't be distracting. It's just so loud, haha.
