Thank you for doing this segment on Krakow and Zalipie, and having Eva zu Beck, one of my favorite RUclips travelers, be the host. There are so many popular tourist attractions in Europe that people flock to. With destinations like Paris, London, Rome, Madrid, Athens, etc. many times other valuable cultural sites like Krakow or Zalipie get overlooked because they lack the name recognition, prestige or glamour. I appreciate you giving these places the exposure they deserve.
I used to go to Poland From 1990 till 1996, each year visiting Bielsko-Biala and the villages around it, camping or staying at boarding houses between the students. Visited Krakow a few times and just love the city and also the country. The people are friendly and as you mention, there is so much to see that tourists don't know yet.
My mother came to America from the Krakow area when she was a little girl. She never got the chance to go back to visit. It was nice to get a glimpse of the city.
I have Polish roots and have spent a lot of time there. It is a very beautiful country and well worth a visit! My favorite cafe in Krakòw is Zapilianki on Szewska. It is beautifully decorated in the style of this village. Show us more of Poland!
Wow wow wow it's so amazing so cool very clean environment I can't explain it's really heaven Love it ...and I have only one dream in my life I really wants to visit in Poland love from Nepal 🇳🇵❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
What a coincidence that all the residents living in this beautiful village are also able to paint their homes that great way...so the land where you belong is beautiful like you 😊🤞
Hi Eva! Thanks for the tour of Zalipie! I have been Pinterest pinning pics of Zalipie for the last 7 years, and my Polish ancestral home.I am of Polish descent, my paternal grandmother “ Bushi” emigrated from the Ukrainian part of Poland circa 1917 to eventual “Hamtramck” Detroit. I learned to dye Easter eggs with my father, and have always gardened.nI have been a painter of many things for many years, wood, glass, walls, murals ,canvas. I hope to visit someday! Sometime back in the late 1970’s I happened upon a “GEO” Magazine and photos of some hand-painted houses with thatched roofs in the Carpathian Mountains that struck such a soul chord in me I felt it was my true home.
I live in Kraków and I am proud to be a resident of this beautiful city when I read positive comments about my city from people from other countries 😄.
Thank you for the lovely tour and for introducing us to the culture and traditions of Zalipie. It's really nice to learn about other cultures in this way. Many greetings to Zalipie!
As a fan of Check In the DW tv travel show as well as the follower of DW Travel myself, I am so glad to see the real beautiful journey between these 2 places in Poland.
Thank you dear Maria Pikul , you are a brilliant artist . I like and love yours paintings too much . yes I forget to say , the host of this video is too & too much beautiful . I love you.
We have been vacationing for decades in Europe especially Germany. But 3 years ago, we went to Warsaw, Krakow and South to Budapest in Hungary. The Polish country side was beautiful similar to this video and visited the oldest Wooden Church in Europe. Hidden Treasures.
Hey Eva, I lived and worked in Krakow for a year. Absolutely loved it. Huge University student population, so a real buzzing vibe. 600 bars and restaurants in the city centre, all within easy walking distance. Homemade Vodka (awesome), Vodka served in glasses made of ice!! Love it. Love the people, the architecture and the culture! Only downside… Drunk Ryanair hoodlums pissing in the streets and fighting their own shadows when they’re drunk out of their minds. Sad but true! Still.. people please go to this city. It’s simply spectacular!!
Excellent video. I worked 3 years in Poland and I love that incredible country. I'm back home (Colorado) but I will have to work perhaps 3 more years here then I'm thinking about retire in Poland 🇵🇱...

As a kid, i would draw houses and adorn their walls and doors with flower paintings. I felt so understood by this town.

What a beautiful village. Thanks a lot for showing this Zalipie.
My great grandparents came from Poland. What a beautiful country. I love my Polish heritage. How I wish I could visit some day.
You can save yourself time and money, except for a few cities, nothing beautiful about Poland, 95% flat flat flat, 3% mountains, 2% seaside.
