- Change will eventually be coming to the Nissan GTR. Many people speculate when that next generation Godzilla will happen. Let's pretend that you could update the R35 GTR would you want it to look more like this 1990 R32 Skyline GTR NISMO. Under the hood is the iconic RB26 which a 2.6L twin-turbo inline-6 producing 276HP on paper and mated to a 5-speed manual. On the outside of this 1 of 560 examples built your will find a unique front fascia, wheels, side skirts, and rear spoiler. Should a new 2021 Nissan GTR be more like this R32 Skyline GTR NISMO?

2:10 Easy. The answer is yes. They should do it! With classic R32 design silhouette and modernize the overall design like what Nissan did with their new Proto Z (400Z) and put into it some major improvement with technologies from GTR R35. That would be awesome!

What a Gem of a car? Remember Joe, this car is only running 9psi of boost. The bottom end stock is good for 750 HP. Larger turbos, cams, and a remap and you're going to get that 750 HP and still behave civilised. 9 psi is enough to get that 280 HP and that's all it needed at the time to be ahead of everything else, and as you can see, the stock GTR spins 8,000 rpm all day long, but the Nismo 10,000 with a 13,000 rpm clock. Those wheels are magnesium and are super light but strong and won't break. The ATTESSA 4WD system makes the car RWD but can send up to 60% of the drive to the front wheels on demand to keep the car stable. The HICAS is a 4WS system. Just an incredible car. Thanks to you and Lori for bringing this video to the World. I totally enjoy my R33 GTR.

Awesome GTR. You definitely can't go wrong with gray on any car period. White is nice as well but at times doesn't look right on certain cars. The R35 is still my dream car tho but it does need an overdue update.

The GTS-4 is a compromise in displacement and a turbo but still very similar.
A new retro GTR update would go soooo hard. It just sucks that Nissan is scrambling to stay in business. Hopefully they figure it out and come back swinging with a new GTR

Godzilla is just an amazing car that Nissan should be proud of ~~ This 1990 R32 GT-R NISMO shows just how amazing Nissan's engineers were back in the 90s, and just hearing that amazing RB26 inline 6 screaming is amazing.

This reminds me so much of my Mom's 1992 Nissan Stanza 5spd with this exact color. Nissan's styling was on point for this generation!

That's a dream car right there, I love the 32 more than the 34. The Calsonic R32 is literally my favorite car of all time out of all the racecars and road legal cars combined. Man I would cry my eyes out in joy if I ever get to drive this legend. The only other car I love more than anything is the McLaren F1 but you have to be Elon Musk or Jeff Bezos to own one of those 😅

No there is not. We are stuck with the R35 GTR.

The gentleman’s agreement was 300 hp and tq Max, but that it wasn’t a numbers game. A lot of the cars said a lower number than what they actually produce. But otherwise great informative video on a car we don’t see in the states very often if at all. They’ve been popping up more and more but still, they’re like a unicorn.

it should definitely look something similar to this. it's obviously going to have to be bigger and things like that but the previous GTR, similar to the 350z/370z needs a complete redesign after being the same this long.

At first really weird but you get use to it!
I remember when I lived in Japan I bought a r34 for like $4000 and nobody was impressed in Japan. Then I saw a Japanese guy with a mustang and all the Japanese people almost fainted lmao. Its was very funny how the opposite was true for them. 🤣 I've seen a bunch of r32's but I don't think I've ever seen a nismo version so thats cool.

I definitely wish Nissan would do a more beautiful design like this rather than an overly aggressive design like most manufacturers do.... the most simplistic cars get called the most beautiful and timeless..... think about the new Ferrari Roma. It’s called the most beautiful Ferrari yet it’s the most simplistic.

NISMO renaissance is long overdue
The past version is amazing but it’s a new generation and the ones we have today fits our society. I would say it depends on how they could make it look. This car is amazing though so don’t take me wrong with that lol.
