I own the 34 gtr in bayside blue and i don't think i could ever sell it. They're definitely overrated in terms of price but man do they feel so special to drive, I love it.
lmao, why did you word that as though anyone at all has said the car is in any way ugly? Simple, maybe, but that's about the extent of fair criticisms that can be applied to this design, and I've never even actually heard anyone say that.
That color scheme alone is something else. If you think the R34 is rare today, finding one in Midnight Purple would be close to impossible. Heck, only 0.5% (less than 1%!) of all R34 GT-Rs ever sold came in that color. Whoever ends up with that unicorn of a car truly is lucky. Now we see why Doug had to do another R34 review - this particular example warrants it.
It wasn't just a 180km/h speedo, there's was also a speed limiter by Japanese law. One feature of the R35 when it came out is the JDM versions use the navigation to tell when you're on a track and disables the limiter.
Not when this car was around. The 180kph speed limit was mandated for cars then but few actually seemed to get them. I had 2 r32 GTS-t's and a supra in japan and both would sail over 200 kph with ease. Stock.
Just a little info about the different versions of the R34 GT-R 1. The “standard” GT-R: it was the base version (if you can call any version of this car basic) 2. V-Spec: The one Doug reviewed, as he said it added a rear LSD and also an improved ATTESA system, stiffer suspension, a new splitter and diffuser. 3. V-Spec N1: Homologation version, stripped out of any luxuries like radio, A/C and carpet. 4. M-Spec: the “luxury” version, similar to the V-spec with leather heated seats and a stiffer rear sway bar. 5. V-Spec II: Similar to the original V-Spec, with upgraded brakes, even stiffer suspension and a carbon fibre hood with a NACA duct 6. V-Spec II N1: Homologation version that is even more stripped out than the first N1. 7. M-Spec Nür and V-Spec II Nür: The last 1000 of the R34 GT-R’s, upgraded with larger turbos, more power, a 300 km/h speedometer and a different color for the cam cover. 8. Z-Tune: The last variant of the R34 GT-R, Nismo bought 19 used GT-R’s to build these since the production was already over and they stripped it all together, the car ended up producing 500hp with a replaced engine called the Z2, Nismo also replaced the brakes, wheels, bodywork and suspension. Only 19 Z-Tunes were ever made, including 2 prototypes
@@rdfdsv yes there are 2 midnight purple Z-Tune, though I forgot the chassis number I think there's also CRS trim and it's kinda released at 2019, though I dunno if they sell it as upgrade or sell it as full car. It was using several engine upgrade as option 500hp RB26DETT F-Sport, basically similar power as RB28DETT Z2 but I dunno if it's same 2.8 as Z-Tune or still 2.6 FYI if you're loaded then you still can buy R34 from Nissan / Nismo via Skyline Restoration Program. But the program cost 400k USD without car, so it might hit 500k if you request Nissan / Nismo to provide the car. And that's just the starting price, it will go expensive quickly if you opt upgrade such as engine (RB28DETT Z2, RB26DETT R4, RB26DETT N1, RB26DETT F-Sport R), paint (Midnight Purple, Silver Z-Tune) and others. But at least it will come with 1-year warranty Also in FAQ section, Nissan / Nismo say it's possible if owner want to upgrade trim to higher trim (such as non-Nur to Nur or higher) but they will not re-register it so there will be no another Z-Tune or CRS or Nur even if you opt for fully Z-Tune upgrade and engine. I dunno though if they can upgrade from basic trim such as GT, GT-Four or GT-T into GT-R Sometimes Nismo also selling cars that's already ready in-case you're loaded and hate to wait if there's available units, but currently only R32 at the moment, hopefull there will be R34 in near future. Interestingly if you see it at Nismo site, the model was changed into "NISMO Restored Car" instead say "BNR34 Z-Tune" and model year also changed to "2019" instead of say "2005". Probably that's why Nissan / Nismo stated that they will not re-registering
5:25 I think It’s also important to note, there are multiple versions of midnight purple. The first midnight purple (LP2) came out on the R33 and I believe there no drastic color shift Later on, Nissan introduced Midnight purple II AND III for the R34. The car Doug is reviewing is MPM II, which shifts from purple to green tones. The more iconic midnight purple, MPM III, shifts from purple tones to blue and orange/gold tones.
@@houlagan13 I just looked at the listing and there seems to be photos of both shifting from purple to orange on the driver's side and purple to green on the passenger's side.
@@RABDS odd, other examples of MPM III has a alot more gold/orange when u watch other videos but this one seems to shift from purple to blue and green throughout the review which is why I said it was MPM II
Everyone who played Gran Tourismo back in the 90’s knew how to dial in the settings 😂. I remember the first time seeing one in real life. Me and a van full of coworkers followed it around ooohing and ahhhing over it’s right hand drive glory. It was a rare bird to see in the USA in the year 2000. Legendary.
@@randolph4421They may have had a shady importer that snuck it in, or it was a illegal car from when Motorex was importing them. I don't remember if everyone that bought a R32, R33, or a R34 from them had to turn it over to the feds or if some people got to keep them. Edit: I used to see a S15 Silvia riding around my area back in 2018-2019, (they definitely weren't legal then) but I haven't seen it in quite a while. I even saw this guy driving it when there was still snow on the ground one time. 🤣
@@tjw8t1 Doug mentioned about Motorex on his older R34 video since that particular one was from them. If I’m correct, owners were able to keep the cars after Motorex was caught.
This is VINTAGE Doug. Outside (NOT in a studio), ALONE, and 20 + minutes going into the tiniest details about the car all the while conveying GENUINE interest and enthusiasm. Reviews like this are why I started watching Doug in 2016-2017, and I felt like his enthusiasm and interest in what is his bread and butter has been waning. It's nice to see that fire is still in there even though he won't starve if he stopped YT entirely.
Hey Doug, I really hope you see this I truly miss the old days when you would put a camera on the side of the road and drive pass it so we would see how the car actually looks on the streets! Wish you start doing that again
I miss that too but with the amount of time it already takes him to film these I bet its a huge pain in the ass for him to do. Ive noticed he atleast provides a stationary sound clip of the car revving when its a good sounding car.
Doesn't sell his cars on the website, it's Doug 'sellout' DeMuro now. Really hope we get a better RUclipsr soon, he's clearly past his expiry date. #carsandbids 😕
This car is almost 25 years old, and it still looks at home on the road. I think that says something about the level of engineering and detail that went into this car
I lived in Japan in 96 and the Sentra the company gave me was like the best car I’ve ever driven. I went through 4 cars that year-also had the blue bird!
Now that he doesn't have to worry about cash, Doug is doing a lot more cars that he's actually interested in these days rather than the latest gargantuan SUV and 12 minutes on its infotainment system. And the channel is all the better for it.
Wow, I didn't notice that. You're absolutely right, the last couple months are mostly cool cars. I pretty much ignored Doug's channel for a year or so when it was so boring
I saw a midnight purple R34 at Cars and Coffee in Palm Beach a few weeks ago, I've never been much of a Japanese car fan but god damn was that thing awesome. And I definitely wasn't the only one who was thinking that, the car drew a huge crowd everywhere it went lmao
Absolutely bang on about the steering, best steering feel of any car I’ve ever driven and it’s the thing I noticed right away the first time I drove one.
For being an “overrated” car Doug sure have an underrating with his score. I think the R34 should have scored higher. It does everything an exotic does with so much more composure and practicality and that’s what makes it so awesome. It is the McClaren F1 of a lesser class of cars.
I saw one of these in the early 2000s in Bayside Blue and I'll never forget it. It was parked at Blockbuster and it had a weird license plate, but I knew those taillights and that spoiler from Gran Turismo. It was like seeing a unicorn and I've never seen one again.
Almost all Japanese cars have the capability to watch TV on their screens, even to this day. My mother in law's (from Tokyo) cars have done this for the last 15yrs that I can remember. It is mandated that as soon as the car stars moving, the images on the screen stop, but the sound remains. Come to a stop at a set of lights, the screen continues to show images.
Why would you want to watch absolute garbage Japanese TV. You have some guy in a corner with a 'shock face', then the whole screen is filled with random text and graphics.
Bout damn time you reviewed one of these. This car is so nostalgic and badass right hand drive or not still amazing to see. This car brings back so many memories from so many great video games and to me it's still the best and looks so damn good doing it too. Great thorough review Doug! Excited for what's next.
The R34 has been my childhood dream car. I even have a massive picture of it on my wall. If I had the money I would definitely head over to Cars and Bids. Thank you Doug for filming my childhood. By far my favorite video to date
holy shit!!! i didnt realize where you film. i grew up in mira mesa. my 20 year reunion was just this past weekend. i recognized the street you are driving down. i have so many childhood memories tied to that street. thats so awesome. i love watching your videos. keep doing your thing.
Hes so right about how important this car is to millennials. It was always the first car id go for in any racing game and was my go to in royal blue in gran turismo 3. Got the ps2 bundled with it and turned it into a monster. That game was amazing. That car is amazing. Growing up in the late 80s and 90s was amazing.
Now that Doug is doing doubles of many cars, I'd really like to see him do another video on the Focus RS. His last one was so long ago and way before his current format.
On the TV mode it is basically a screen that will display anything with NTSC signal. You will need to wire in a RCA connector to connect a video input signal. Also need to solder a jumper connection. It doesn't have an inbuilt TV tuner so you cannot use it to see local TV networks, but you can install a DVD or TV tuner and have it display the signal on the MFD screen as far it is NTSC signal.
Gladly a real Doug review. What a enthusiasm and. Lots of fun to watch. Thx. Great that one can read and manage OBD settings with the on board system. Top!
I was playing Gran Turismo 7 and I wanted to drive my fairly stock R34 in a few races and while I loading into a lobby I saw this video on my subscription feed and I gasped! Thanks to Doug for bringing back my love for the R34 on a more closeup perspective! I’ve known this car since I was 4 or 5 years old because of Gran Turismo 4 so it is quiet special to me but it is way out of my reach because of the modern market, even in South Africa.
Years ago when he reviewed the blue one, my jaw dropped when he said these were selling for over $50k usd. Now they're supposedly selling for over $200k, I'm not even surprised anymore, based on how other collectible cars have space-rocketed.
I'm only 9 minutes in but Doug how can you NOT have already mentioned Paul Walker's iconic silver skyline R34 in 2 FAST 2 FURIOUS? That really added to the Legend!
i know right?! i basically waited throughout the entire video for him to mention Paul's GTR... that's one of the most important popularity factors of this model! 😭😭
*THE GODZILLA* Skyline R32 caused shockwaves in Australia in the early 90's. It destroyed the traditional touring car heavyweights from Ford and General Motors, winning Bathurst in 1991 by a whole lap, and recording the fastest-ever time of 293km/hr down Conrod straight. In one race I saw it go around other vehicles with two wheels on the grass and still overtake. It was so dominant the other manufacturers influenced the governing body to outlaw turbos and all-wheel drive, effectively banning the GT-R from competing. That same 'Take my toys and go home' attitude among Australian car manufacturers and auto enthusiasts led to the demise of the entire Australian car industry, which became a dinosaur.
Living in Japan for a year, these things are kind of Tokyo's version of an SN-95 Mustang lol. Believe it or not, you do see them quite frequently. Interestingly enough, when I visited Kyoto a few months ago, I saw A80 Supras at about the same frequency. May be because the Nissans are built in Yokohama and the Supra's were built in Nagoya, but IDK
@@Skylinehead I was just a little shocked at first. We have this image of them as near supercar status in the states, but over here, they're like an old Corvette or Boxster.
Add the fact that Japan is probably the only country in the world that punishes people with more taxes for having bigger cars lmao These cars were already expensive for its time, and the legal fees don't help either.
@@endingtasks8538 There's good and bad. I came from a very rural town in the South, so living in a mega city like Tokyo was an adjustment. The trains are not fun. A lot of stuff is shockingly cheap here(price, not quality). Areas like Shibuya and Akihabara- the major tourist attractions- are really horrendous. overcrowded, overpriced, and lots of annoying tourists. BUT area's deep in Saitama, or even in smaller districts like Ikebukuro, have a lot of cool and interesting places. One of the best things you can do if you are here is just look at Google maps for a while, until you see someplace interesting. Even from Saitama, most of the city is accessible in around an hour, and there's just so much STUFF here, you will probably find something interesting you weren't initially looking for.
For a car that is going to sell for as much as this will, I'm surprised they didn't do a paint correction and interior detail. It's still cool to see one and I'm sure someone will get a lot of attention at their local Cars and Coffee.
I'm not overly fond of this vehicle, but one thing I'll give it credit for is the styling. It holds up so well in modern times. Arguably better than any of the other vehicles from it's era.
It's one of those cars that people think is beautiful only because it's hyped up and they want one. Not because it actually is. I mean, besides the cool taillights, there's really nothing special or original about its looks. It kinda looks like a beefed-up 5th gen Prelude. Now an FD RX7, that's special.
Supra mkiv entered the chat, the gtr is nice but still a dressed up family saloon, like the m3 to the 3 series, the Supra is the pinnacle of Japanese performance
@@80s_Boombox_Collector The car looks 10 years younger than it is and it might not be as pretty as an NSX or RX-7 but if I may, I think the R34 GT-R is cool in an understated way with an aura of stoicism and pedigree that the other cars of its time didn't have. Strong, prominent body lines, functional and not over-stylized aero parts contribute to its aesthetics. It is the embodiment of late 90s/early 00s gentlemen racer style and performance, in my opinion. TLDR It aged well and looks cool rather than beautiful.
Man, Getting one of these in the US is one thing that will hopefully come true… Thank God I had driven one of these when I went to vacation with my family to Japan at the end of January 2020. One of my dad's friends who lives in Japan (he lives in Yokohama) has one of this (It’s M-Spec, but still in stock just like in the video) and I got the chance to drive it, what a great experience….
I slightly prefer the R33, only because it was my favorite car in the first Gran Turismo I've played, but I also love the R34 and especially the Midnight Purple color. I sure wish I was rich enough to buy this car!
Same. I remember just before gt2 came out getting a copy of the Best Motoring tuned R33 GTR shootout where they tested the mines, top secret, esprit, b-racing, mcr and arc gtrs holy wow it’s was amazing.
I do love that purple it's amazing I know it's not one of the colors that came in, but it's one of the ones I've been looking into a close match with my 1993 Nissan NX
i would rather a 4 door one, if it's a GT-T or 25GT Turbo, the engine is just 0.1L smaller, no need for single turbo conversion, and factory rwd... yes please
I remember playing Grid 2 and one of the cars you could choose for the Tougé events. I remember choosing this and specing it just like this, then later changed to the blue colour. Amazing times
I was fortunate to live in Japan in 1998 when these cars came out. I'm not sure if the first Grand Turismo was out yet. The cup holders aren't unusually small. The Japanese are smaller people and have smaller good portions. A large meal at McDonald's in Japan is a regular sized meal here in the US. The R33GT is my favorite of the bunch.
The 33 is the one for me as well. I once saw one being trailered with the front clip removed. I approach the group of people looking at it and asked if it was an R33 and this guy turned and incredulously told me it was a Skyline. Then the owner walked up and confirmed that it was indeed a R33.
@@stevenwilliams1805 back in the 90s/early 2000s the tuner car scene was full of tail light swaps from other cars. I have authentic R33GT Nissan tail lights molded into my 97 Dodge neon. The body lines totally fit
I also lived in Japan for a decade when these cars were dirt cheap compared to now. Didn’t buy one because I didn’t think I would stay that long and even got my JP license. Ironically, I bought an r33 GTR last year and imported it to the US. Ofc, I paid several times what they were going for when I had lived there.
@@MrJspecefini if i had foresight, i would have took a R33GT apart and shipped it home. And i would have collected JDM parts for the 240sx, Soarer and other JDM legends.
With the AWD the stock power/just bolt-on's makes for a fun car. At 1000+WHP, these can be a handful. Most think they want 1000+HP, most find out they don't enjoy the car as much as they thought.
I will forever be wishing they developed the Z32 300ZX platform to the same extent they improved on the R32-R34 GTRs. We probably wouldn't have got them in the US but it could've been so great
@@LOVE-VIBES-X-PROJECT-CARS you're right, I love them and they're great the way they are. I still think a Nismo version with a bit more performance could've done very well in the American market. The 6 speed gearbox and more sporty seats from the R34 would be a great place to start. I just put an LS in my Z32 so it doesn't really bother me lmao
I watched this video because I drove this in a video game. (seems sad to think of it like that lol) I've always wondered if it actually handled as good as it did in video games. This was the car you chose to beat the whole game that only started to get beat by those purpose built LeMans cars at the end of the game. then my next car was always the Mazda 787B..... Oh the sound of that engine was intoxicating lol
I agree to a point that games like Gran Turismo definitely helped the popularity, but I don’t think that was the sole reason it’s so famous. I think F&F also helped it, and when RUclips and social media came along, and JDM fam groups started to become more mainstream it started to take off. Espcially in the Tik tok era. Combine that with not being able to purchase it, drove the hype up even more and thus causing the demand to rise and the price to rise as well.
@@mrdarknezz6285 There many good condition ones in Japan ready for export, its just that the price on those are sky high and a lot cannot justify it unless that person is a die hard fan of the car.

@@HeyBigChriss The thing is, the Supras and the other JDM cars were still cheap even after those movies came out. They didn't start to become stupid expensive until 2014.
Right hand drive is my preferred side because I’m right handed. It splits the body into right hand controlling acceleration , braking , steering while the left side of the body handled clutch and shifting. I’ve driven plenty left hand drive, and it’s fine, but the body and mind takes more time crossing over sides. Just my feeling. But, I won’t argue. It’s like an argument over circumsised or intact. Everyone prefers what they’re used to.
Did he forget he already reviewed this car, and gave it a very shameful 6/10 for styling? (At the same time he's given boxy vans and station wagons higher scores.) And, for the record, the Nissan Skyline was not "made popular" by video games and movies. It was put in video games and movies _because_ it was popular. The Nissan Skylines were extremely popular for more than a decade before they were ever put into games and films. They were all over Import Tuner magazines and were massive in car culture ever since the mid 80's, and all throughout the 90's. By this same (flawed) logic you could say The Dukes of Hazzard "made" the Dodge Charger popular, or that Knight Rider "made" the Trans AM popular. Just ignoring the fact that they were both exceedingly popular before either of those shows aired and would have been even if they never did. It's just that Skylines weren't sold in the U.S. so, while they were all over the car magazines, you couldn't buy one. That didn't stop everyone who was into tuner cars from being fully aware of them, though. Cars will become popular as long as they're great cars. It's just how it works. That's why the many generations of the Skyline have always been popular. Car culture is a real thing and it's always been huge. It didn't suddenly become huge in the late 90's because of The Fast and the Furious. That just made the percentage of know-nothing, poser, ricer people bigger. People who put gigantic spoilers, and a cold air intake, on cars with 120hp and think they're awesome. Sure, those movies turned some people into real car people but it's a small amount added to the massive pool of car culture people that already existed. (When I say real car people I mean people who actually know a thing or two about cars. Not people who have a poster of a particular car because they think it looks neat and has a cool color.)
One night after long night at bowling and booze , back at the hotel under the portage around 2am , some Zoomie pulled up in a Skyline RHD, straight up the Zoomie let me sit in it , had I not been three sheets , he offered to let me drive it . Complete stranger , so incredible .
One of the most beautiful cars ever designed. Can´t decide if i like this one more or the E46 M3. Both have a pretty basic car shape - three boxes, simple spoiler, wheels not too big. But the proportions are just *chef´s kiss* perfect.
Skylines are the absolute pinnacle of Japanese sports cars. They not only blew every motorsport industry they entered out of the water when they first came out, but they still dominate in time attack and drag racing. There is nothing better sounding, more raw and faster than skylines.

I'm really curious what it'll be like when these are easier to import on general age. Only a couple more years (for the whole of production at least). Assume the price for many, especially certain specs, will be more inexpensive, but of course it's a legend so who knows lol.
Great video! I honestly did not even know about the R34 GT-R until a few years ago. I had an Altima from 1993, a Maxima from 1999, and now a Lexus SC400 from 1999 (with over 200,000 miles). I am shocked that this car is an inline 6 like the Lexus SC300/Toyota Supra of the time. Love again seeing how small the car is for Doug.

The R34 Skyline GT-R isn't my favorite Nissan, but I like it and it is, undeniably, an icon, for sure. It's a really cool car and everybody loves it, including myself. Congratulations on reviewing another R34 GT-R, Doug!
it still blows my mind how much gran turismo actually had to do with this car’s popularity not only did it introduce everyone here to the car but polyphony digital actually made the UI for the screen in the car i never knew that
Only kids who grew up in the 90s understand the legend of this thing...even its name is glorious... Skyline gtr...90s was the best era of japanese cars

1. The “standard” GT-R: it was the base version (if you can call any version of this car basic)
5. V-Spec II: Similar to the original V-Spec, with upgraded brakes, even stiffer suspension and a carbon fibre hood with a NACA duct

And that's just the starting price, it will go expensive quickly if you opt upgrade such as engine (RB28DETT Z2, RB26DETT R4, RB26DETT N1, RB26DETT F-Sport R), paint (Midnight Purple, Silver Z-Tune) and others. But at least it will come with 1-year warranty
Also in FAQ section, Nissan / Nismo say it's possible if owner want to upgrade trim to higher trim (such as non-Nur to Nur or higher) but they will not re-register it so there will be no another Z-Tune or CRS or Nur even if you opt for fully Z-Tune upgrade and engine. I dunno though if they can upgrade from basic trim such as GT, GT-Four or GT-T into GT-R
Sometimes Nismo also selling cars that's already ready in-case you're loaded and hate to wait if there's available units, but currently only R32 at the moment, hopefull there will be R34 in near future. Interestingly if you see it at Nismo site, the model was changed into "NISMO Restored Car" instead say "BNR34 Z-Tune" and model year also changed to "2019" instead of say "2005". Probably that's why Nissan / Nismo stated that they will not re-registering

I think It’s also important to note, there are multiple versions of midnight purple. The first midnight purple (LP2) came out on the R33 and I believe there no drastic color shift
Later on, Nissan introduced Midnight purple II AND III for the R34. The car Doug is reviewing is MPM II, which shifts from purple to green tones. The more iconic midnight purple, MPM III, shifts from purple tones to blue and orange/gold tones.
If I remember correctly, you could choose between them on GT4.

@@houlagan13 I just looked at the listing and there seems to be photos of both shifting from purple to orange on the driver's side and purple to green on the passenger's side.

Me and a van full of coworkers followed it around ooohing and ahhhing over it’s right hand drive glory. It was a rare bird to see in the USA in the year 2000. Legendary.
How have people imported and registered them back in the day?
@@randolph4421They may have had a shady importer that snuck it in, or it was a illegal car from when Motorex was importing them. I don't remember if everyone that bought a R32, R33, or a R34 from them had to turn it over to the feds or if some people got to keep them. Edit: I used to see a S15 Silvia riding around my area back in 2018-2019, (they definitely weren't legal then) but I haven't seen it in quite a while.
Hey Doug, I really hope you see this

Almost all Japanese cars have the capability to watch TV on their screens, even to this day. My mother in law's (from Tokyo) cars have done this for the last 15yrs that I can remember. It is mandated that as soon as the car stars moving, the images on the screen stop, but the sound remains. Come to a stop at a set of lights, the screen continues to show images.

Return of the legend! Back then, the Skyline GT-R's review brought me to your channel, and I'm following it ever since
*THE GODZILLA* Skyline R32 caused shockwaves in Australia in the early 90's.

It's one of those cars that people think is beautiful only because it's hyped up and they want one. Not because it actually is.

(At the same time he's given boxy vans and station wagons higher scores.)
And, for the record, the Nissan Skyline was not "made popular" by video games and movies.

Skylines are the absolute pinnacle of Japanese sports cars. They not only blew every motorsport industry they entered out of the water when they first came out, but they still dominate in time attack and drag racing. There is nothing better sounding, more raw and faster than skylines.
I love the R34, my top favorite. But don't say there is nothing faster, because there are cars definitely faster in all areas.
@@rocknrye9273 Skylines are the quickest "streetcar" drag cars on the planet. please be quiet.
@@lennixsingh626 If they are so fast why do they always get their ass handed to them on the street? Perhaps you're confused with the r35 which is actually a fast car
@@adamcz3183 Apart from the fact im talking about "Japanese (sportscars"), Did u know that skylines are quicker than r35's or are u not up to date on records? The worlds quickest gtr is JUN2 and behind that it is PNSHER another r32. On a no prep surface Skylines are also quicker than 35's.
Once it reaches 25-years-old, can it be registered normally, or do Show & Display cars permanently retain that classification?
Interesting question.
@@stevenwilliams1805 Update: I asked the same question in the comments section of the auction, and the seller clarified that it can indeed be registered as a normal car once it’s 25-years-old. So the Show & Display restrictions are only relevant for the next year(ish) of ownership.
Doug, FYI, those trunk struts are pneumatic, not hydraulic. As always, a fun and entertaining video.
Man, what a great color that Midnight Purple is 🥰❤️
I really dislike modified cars and precisely the "It would be reliable if left stock" is one of the major reasons why I prefer everything stock 🧐
I wish my Cruze was like that... It's only reliable if NOT left stock 😭
I'm really curious what it'll be like when these are easier to import on general age. Only a couple more years (for the whole of production at least). Assume the price for many, especially certain specs, will be more inexpensive, but of course it's a legend so who knows lol.
Price will jump at each year gets available same thing happened with the supra
I’d probably give it a couple years for the hype to die down. I’m scared that even non-VSpecs will be pushing $100-120 even afterward
@Kayametra been hearing that for a decade mate and price have only gone in one direction
My absolute favourite car of all time 😍😍 I’d return to the 90s and early 00s era any day 👌🏻this era of japanese cars was amazing
For the TV button yes the Japanese have actual TV receivers in their cars I was stationed in Okinawa, Japan from 2012-2015 and every Taxi I gotten into the driver had the TV playing WHILE driving.
The US did a similar thing with speedometers. The 85 mph speedos were introduced to limit speed and reduce emissions.
The R34 Skyline GT-R isn't my favorite Nissan, but I like it and it is, undeniably, an icon, for sure.
It's a really cool car and everybody loves it, including myself. Congratulations on reviewing another R34 GT-R, Doug!
you post like anyone comes here just for your comentary...
Well said. The R34 is legendary forbidden fruit to Americans. It may have some issues but it's one of the most famous Nissans.
@@slowery43 I enjoy reading the comments. It's an open comment section.
The Pontiac Aztek is the kind of car, which borrows styling quirks from Doug DeMuro face.
*Nissan Murano drop-top
We can count on Zancone for yet another moronic comment
it still blows my mind how much gran turismo actually had to do with this car’s popularity not only did it introduce everyone here to the car but polyphony digital actually made the UI for the screen in the car i never knew that
Only kids who grew up in the 90s understand the legend of this thing...even its name is glorious... Skyline gtr...90s was the best era of japanese cars
I know the blue one is probably more closely associated with the GT-R, but imo the Midnight Purple hits different. Just imagine this thing cruising the highways around Tokyo Bay at night, rolling through those pools of orange sodium street light. 👌
