    I appreciate you sharing this. I do wish you had shown a couple things more clearly. The smaller diameter hose that needs a hose clamp clipped off and the resistor connections / how you secured the wires so they weren't flopping around.
    Not trying to be critical, but rather hope you'll show things like this in future videos. Thanks!

    You may want to put that turbo heat shield back on.
    That will help keep the charge air a bit cooler.

    I have JCW Paceman. Help that tick/ knock … Use Amsoil Synthetic Euroblend. I made my own Catch can…. Not many available, it’s a must have. Carbon clean every oil change with with CRC intake valve / turbo cleaner. Change plugs every 40K.
    I also have 2-other Minis and a 2005 WRX STi. Which are all highly modded.
    R60-R61 Minis don’t like mods much… it can quickly make them worse. Ecu tuning is key if possible.
    Have fun

      Awesome! I just recently got a 07 Cooper S that has 72k on the engine, has a pretty annoying valve tick which im used to as my 08 Impreza does the same, but just to clarify and make sure im going to be getting the right stuff would you mind telling me if this is it?

      Also what would you do straight off the bat to increase reliability?
      Thanks!!

      @@liampettit7446 Yes the CRC cleaner you linked in your post is the correct cleaner for the Mini. Buy 2-bottles and clean before every oil change. Believe me it makes a massive difference in the first few uses. As for the Amsoil oil. It’s expensive but worth every penny. I use it on all my vehicles for many many many years.
      www.amsoil.com/search/?text=European+blend&timezoneOffset=240
      The oil… just search for Amsoil European Blend 5W-30.
      As for reliability for the Mini… Replace all fluids being that your at +70K. Replace fuel filters if possible and spark plugs. Replace belts and look for worn out items under the hood. I personally know that all cars around 100K are going to need many parts to be replaced so I keep the wallet on stand by anticipating failure. Look for reliability issue videos and topic/ forums know for your model across the web. Mini are NOT Toyotas which are more reliableI. I would highly suggest getting an oil catch can for extra reliability. There are tons of books and sites for the Mini with much resources available that talk about know common issues .

    One thing I see is you are moving your intake even closer to the hot side of the engine but I’m sure it fine

    • @MojoGarage
      @MojoGarage  3 года назад +1

      Not really, the NM intake sits over the intake manifold getting away from the hot side where the turbo manifold and turbo are. Plus once moving and over 20mph, there's an abundance of cool air moving through the engine bay. At least thats what NM says. Only regret I have with the intake is I didn't get the carbon fiber one.

    There’s a funky sound after warmup. Not sure if it’s cable tick or what.

    How big of a difference did you feel after doing intercooler, charge pipes, downpipes etc?

    • @MojoGarage
      @MojoGarage  3 года назад +4

      The down pipe and intercooler were a night and day difference in performance. Same thing with the intake. The charge pipes I feel gave me more turbo noises than power, but a smoother air path has to be beneficial one way or another.
      Lastly I know this doesn't equate to power or anything other than to appease my inner child, the pops and bangs were a lot more pronounced and I'm still stock exhaust from the down pipe back.
      Thanks for watching!

      @MojoGarage so I plan on doing cold air intake, intercooler, downpipe, oil cooler, and iridium spark plugs. After that looking to do a dyno tune. I have a 2021 mini cooper countryman s all4. You think by doing all that, I'll hit 300hp? My goal is to get over 300.
