Another amazing video! I love to see the trust you have in Capri especially when the other dog is getting so close to play. That is a phenomenal bond with your pups!
I enjoy watch all of your video Eric. It's so inspired me and give me knowledge how to train dogs. It's easy to understand and doesn't boring to watch it. I like the way you interact with your dog Capri, I can see the strong connection soul and mind within you guys.
I found your videos recently and I love the vibe and the dogs of course! I have my old black lab, Willie of 14 years, so loyal and still walks a mile a day. I also have my 7 year old golden retriever, Buddy. I've been working him off leash and he's just an amazing student and so smart. Thanks for all your tricks and great videos!! 🖤💛
I absolutely love what you do with these dogs. I have seen other posts where people make negative comments about your approach or competency etc. Man you are absolutely incredible. Keep it up!
Really great to see the situation from all of those angles. Easy to follow exactly what's happening. :) Excellent video! Very gratifying to see them play with each other like that in the end. ❤
More information and techniques to learn and incorporate. Thank you so much, Eric. I am overloaded with incredible information that you have shared and I have to say the results have been fantastic, satisfying and incredible fun. My dog appears to be in his element too. He is a Collie Retriever X and is super responsive. Your influence has reached the shores of Scotland. I hope you are well, big man?
Thank you for speaking on reactivity truth. My cane corso rescue puppy is ridiculously friendly cause I boosted her confidence with really good social experiences heavily. Went from a bit of puppy fear reactivity to friendly reactivity. But so many people don't understand the difference. Hoping I can get it better under control in a few weeks once she gets her last vaccines. 14 and a half weeks got her at 8 weeks, still experiencing some puppy fear but not nearly as bad and mostly to specific things now.
Can you give me an advice? I‘m want a dog, it‘ll be my first, I have two small children and work in home office. I don’t have any experience with dogs. We’re living in a 90 square meter flat and I was first looking for breeds which don’t loose hair, especially the german miniature poodle, with the benefit that it could not cause too much damage with smaller mouth in case of wrong education. But I also want to go hiking every second month for maybe several hours with camping at the end for maybe 2 days and 1st wonder if the miniature poodle is the right breed for this and 2nd if there‘s a better fitting breed? Is the Malinois an option?
A Malinois is never advisable as a first dog for anyone, but more so when an owner can't be 100% free to tend to it's training and there's small children around. Malinois have such high energy levels and intelligence, they require a lot more from you than many other breeds. You'll be taking an unnecessary risk if you're inexperienced. There's loads of great breeds that will make excellent hiking companions. Though you wouldn't take a puppy/very young dog to suddenly go on a X hour walk without sleep in between. They need loads of rest/down time between each walk/play time. So it will take a while before you can do everything you want. Then when they're older they might need to build up some training for long hikes as well if you want to go away for hours on end, which will need to have a more regular frequency, not just every once in a while. :) I'd say, do your research, get clear on what you can and cannot offer, talk to professional dog trainers and find your perfect match! ❤ Lastly I would strongly advise, only get a dog from a professional breeder (no backyard breeder) to be sure to get a healthy and *stable* dog (around your kids).
@@maritvansplunter6924 honestly it sounds like a dog is not the fit for you but rather maybe occasional dog *borrowing,* like for a friend or neighbor. Developing a friendship with someone else's dog, offering to dogsit, take pup on those occasional hikes. That will give you a lot of core experience and also fill the limited gaps you have to dedicate to the time you want to spend with a dog
@@ImagineWrong It is how many dogs play. I just wonder if he has an opinion about potential escalation into biting. My dog plays with lots of open mouth, air snapping and goes so far as to grab onto the other dogs but they both engage in that same play. It's always give and take. I'm not sure that all dogs that play that way inherently know it's only allowed with some dogs and not all. I'm sure not all dogs play that same way.
vids like this give me hope that the world isnt as cold and cruel as we may think its the little things like seeing a dog make a new friend

Do you have anything on stopping dogs from escaping and rooming the streets

What are your thoughts on air snapping and open mouth play?
Isn't that just how dogs play?

@@timmiet47321 I wonder the same thing about my pit. He's only played with other pits but I get nervous that other breeds may not play the same way 🤔
Is there somewhere that I can privately message you about my dogs behaviour problems
