  • In 2015, the Barbershop Harmony Society headquarters staff was asked to sing the national anthem prior to the Nashville Sounds's season finale. The staff enjoyed a nice night out at the ballpark and saw Marty Monson (CEO), Danny Becker (Customer Service), Donny Rose (Harmony University) and Wayne Grimmer (Outreach) form a pick up quartet called Sounds of Harmony and wow the First Tennessee Park crowd.

Chills!! Back in 1993, the Toronto Blue Jays won their first World Series. They came to my home town where their farm team was to put on an exhibition game and my barbershop quartet got to sing the Canadian anthem right on home plate. Seeing seeing players like John Olerude, Pat Borders and Joe Carter, lined up on the third baseline while we rang the chords was one of the best singing experiences of my life!

Sung with grace and sensibility Nice to hear it done in the manner of respect that it deserves and not like the majority of scratchers.

This is a great version and I come back to it often. I just hate seeing the woman in the stands, between the heads of the two left members of the quartet, who was either too good, too entitled, or too lazy to remove her white ball cap with the sun glasses perched on it for our National Anthem. Well done BHS guys.

    Oversinging at the beginning!

+Graham Eagland I totally disagree with the 'oversinging' comment. They should do it with that same energy at every sporting event. Just my two cents.
