Mitch-Slapped (Verb): to be in shock and awe after hearing Mitch Grassi's high notes for the first time.
The guy in the white suit has one of the most insane voices I have ever heard. The girl has a beautiful high voice, and his is dramatically higher.
Yes. And this is nowhere near his highest or most impressive. If you've not listened to a lot of them, they are all huge talents. Mitch Grassi (the one you pointed out) has a spectacular voice, both in how high it is, but also how consistent it is.
Kirstie can get as high or higher than Mitch with beautiful, piercing quality. They all amaze with ranges beyond their "roles."

He did have a solo, but it wasn't that impressive. It was very basic, as far as Star Spangled Banner goes. The amazing thing here is the whole group.
That is probably the best national anthem performance I’ve ever seen. The way they were in sync from start to finish is so crazy. Props to them for practicing this and making this perfect!!
Whitney Houston's was the best ever
Up until last night I had not heard anyone sing the anthem as WELL as Whitney, but Pentatonix did. I got chills when I heard them singing.
More than that: its among the best performances of any national anthem on Earth.

As a veteran, this song means the world to me. On so many occasions the performers want to "make it their own" but the Star Spangled Banner isn't any one's it is all of ours. The Pentatonix did our National Anthem justice. Beautifully and respectfully done.

One of the best performances of all time...well done Pentatonix (and Seven Chandler). Hats off to the two lead snare drummers from each band...they were both fabulous and I know the UGA snare player (Andrew) was honored and excited...he is my son. 🙂

They sounded awesome! But not enough love in the comments for the 10 year old girl doing the sign interpretation. She was just as awesome! Incredibly talented...and what a story she'll have to tell her kids one day!
What I saw, she DID beautifully! VERY expressive. 😃
To me, it was kind of counter productive to not have the camera on the singing group for the entire performance, plus put the little girl signing in a thumbnail with them. Who wants to see the crowd? They could have panned to the crowd at the beginning and end.

They looked handsome & beautiful in their Red White & Blue suits/dress. My heart was racing with anticipation 😊 and they gave me goosebumps every time they harmonized. They slayed it for sure. Awesome job PTX.

Pentatonix' performance deserved full camera attention through the entire presentation of our National anthem. Certainly the best performance I have heard in ages. Super Bowl worthy!
I get it. However, as awesome as they are to watch, the anthem is more about the flag & patriotism. I loved how the camera was panning over the “broad stripes and bright stars” as they sang it!🇺🇸 Made the lyrics sound fresh. Amazing presentation!!
