If that van was in Australia it would have by-passed the wreckers and gone straight to the tip! Wow! I NEVER seen a van as rusted as that and still standing. I'm really surprised that anyone would bother fixing it. Even with new panels. Is there really anything left to weld too?
Sadly, it’s a total different climate, you can have vans only 6 years old rotten like this with the salt on the roads 😁
@@JWFabrication1 I used to be into Classic English cars like, Healey's, Mini's etc. and a 1958 Sprite would have zero rust compared to that van. I have the same van and am doing the rust sections ATM. I think you would be jealous of the current state of the panels, rails and skins which are near perfect. Everyone loves these vans, especially the MK6 (VH-VJ). However, owners NEVER get rid of them because of rust. How bazar. I would have a plastic car with all that salt on European and American roads. Rather than worry about the paint work. the money should go into total rust proofing the entire underbody and foam-fill ALL cavities, including lanolin or Wax oil. ALL Ozzie cars suffer terribly from weathering and sun damage. Clear-coat can break down in five years. But is a lot easier, but just as expensive, as rust. My hat off to you sir!

That's just like a mk5 Transit i did about 10-12yrs ago it was an Ex-RAC van and it was rotten like a pear, inner outer wings inner and outer wheel arches inner and outer sills, steps rear inner and outer rear wheel arches and rear inner and outer cross member plus the bits of chassis legs that attached to the rear cross member, everytime i started to grind it up to weld it just kept creeping and creeping i was over the moon once it was finished and seen the back of it 😂😂
I was happy to see the end of it but said I would do another 😂😂

Slick work from both of you !!! I used to weld up rot boxes for a living... sometimes the gout seems never ending !! Easy's panel making prowess is coming on leaps and bounds ! It's a two thumbs up from me 👍👍

I’m deep into a similar job on a mk6 transit, The rust just won’t stop, Looks like a good job done on this
I use silver hook stone chip it’s brilliant

Good stuff but you won’t be doing it for much longer carrying on like that. Between you two you have two pairs of eyes lose them and you are done . Safety specks are cheap and you can buy in abundance unlike your eyes use safety specks
