Thanks for that. Great video. Dam I'm finding it hard to get used to no engine oil dipsticks, or refill holes/windows on trannys these days. Most of the time you don't even get even a "space-saver" spare wheel. So much trust in computers, they are like Apple I-phones. Built in obsolescence to the max. "Just come back in a few years and buy a new one". In 5 or 10 more years poor people won't even have petrol cars available to them, let alone electric.
Gracias 👏🏻👏🏻 from 🇦🇷
Thanks for you sir good shearing this video ..i like this
Very glad to help!
Thank you, such a help.
Glad to help!
Good simple, clear video cheers. Is it same process for A6 3.0 tdi?
Nice bro
Thanks, this helped a lot to change transmission oil in 2015 A4 2.0TDI. I was having issues stalling the engine when cold when selecting D, and jumpy/delayed take-offs when warm. Changing the oil sure helped.
Now I just sell it as quick as possible - never again Multitronic. I call it the garbage of automatic transmissions 😂 Besides I want a Quattro, which is never available with Multitronic.
Glad to help and yeah I've seen quite a few issues with Multitronic. Hope you got sorted anyway!
It's not garbage, many are far worse. The later ones are fine providing they are looked after.
So what ur saying is ur gonna knowingly sell a vehicle with a transmission fault.
Nice.
Quit whining. I very clearly stated that the issues were solved with the oil change. Also the buyer found it working properly, and I haven't heard back from it since. It's not my headache anymore.
I once took the misstep by switching to Multitronic, and don't want to hear anything about it ever again.
Multitronic (CVT) sunt niște cuti de viteze foarte bune problema e unde se face schimbul de ulei! Sincer acest video nu este complect! Nu încercați sa schimbați uleiul ca în video! Stricați CVT No hate!
Cvt cu probleme nu se rezolva cu schimbarea uleiului doar pentru o perioada scurta!
Same process on the 2.0 tdi a6 with auto box
I need to find the correct transmission fluid for 2009 audi A5 quattro can someone help plz
Hello, Thank you for the video it is really helpful and instructive. I have question: the way of changing the oil, you showed, is static. Is it any better to do the dinamic changing? I heard that the dinamic way changes the whole oil in the gear box...I don't know that's why I ask...
Hi Jack, you’re right to ask, this method does not change all of the oil. It is of course better to replace all of the oil but this is the easier option and it’s the choice of the person working on the car.
So the fluid flush should be done with the engine cold?
Hi thanks for this video
It was a great help to change the CVT fluid on my A4 B8
Would you know if this transmission has a separate fluid for the front differential?
You’re very welcome, if the differential is part of the same gearbox then it should be on the same fluid.
The CVt,s from Audi , I know they have a sealed differential inside , so you cant change its fluid , so of it breaks , you Just change the part , besides that you can get changed when the tranny fails
Same process for a5 2010 convertible 2.0 t
How to find out what type my gearbox is? I have a 2011 3.0 V6 TDI A5, I know it is either tiptronic or s-tronic, but I can't manage to find the exact information.
I guess that also determines the oil needed?
Cheers
Hi, yes it would determine the oil needed and the spec of oil you need. You can either find the part code on the gearbox, contact Audi, or contact your local parts supplier and give them your registration. You’ll need enough oil of course but to fill the gearboxes you fill them until they leak out anyway so you can’t get that bit of the job wrong.
i had my auto gearbox oil changed yesterday at the Audi dealer. It was the 1st gearbox oil change ever its a 2008 A6 and the car got 120k miles. Vehicle was running better b4 the oil change £245 wasted
This can happen when the oil has never been changed before and they get to higher mileage it can make them worse, although the gearbox could still be “learning” if the dealer reset the adaptions.
Hi frank, did it become alright after sometime? Mine doing same thing after cvt oil replacement. Cutting n feels like about to die when stopping, stalling intermittently. Wat was your solution guys.
@@coxwellnematondoni494 hi there, in fact mine got better after a few weeks i only have the odd slip when i drive off
@@coxwellnematondoni494maybe you should try to service your throttle body..
@@matduan3119 hi mat.done all that funnily it drives perfect on manual.. So realised the issue is mainly wen it has to engage gear 1 n 2..so wen i overide gear change on manual it seems okay
Why not pour it in the filter hole?
Is the same process for an Audi A4 2.0 TDI?
Great video btw!!!
Thanks Gerard, I’m almost certain it will be the same on the A4 at least from 2008.
HI Gerald is it a 2014 model with A NYM gearbox ?
Hi i want to know after how manny mile do you been to chsnge the gare box oil i got an A5 2014 i all ways thake my car to main draler to car service but dont no if that os the part of service?
If there is a service interval I think it’s about every 40k miles but I’m really not sure. Every 40k is what I would do.
Are all cvt gearboxes of audi the same? My father has an a4 1.8tfsi with cvt gearbox from 2014.
To be honest I don’t have a clue. A lot of auto gearboxes fill from the bottom this way so if it’s a VW group car it’ll be the same procedure if it has the plastic insert like this one. But chance are it will effectively be the same box, I can’t imagine it being different.
Is it normal to have a delay when accelerating in multitronic trans ?
That’s actually why this car was having the gearbox oil changed. I found the stop/start made the problem more noticeable but the fluid change definitely helped.
Yes, especially from stop. Takes a while to get used to it.
garage address please
This transmission type where is the oil filter? Or do you don’t chanse ?
Inside the gearbox I think Ricardo.
the oil filter its outside the gearbox and also should be changed
What about the filter? Do they have a filter?
I don’t know about the filter, I was only asked to change the oil on this occasion.
Thank you mate I have the 2.0 tdi a5 manual is this the same process?
It may be similar but it won’t be the same, I haven’t done a manual yet so can’t say for sure, sorry.
Transmision oil filter ?
Filter is inside the gearbox, u will need to remove the gearbox to replace it. Usual maintenance, just change the oil will do
That oil looks HORRIBLE!
On so many levels this is wrong(incorrect, incomplete) way of doing service on this type of transmission.
I would call this one 50/50.
This gearbox have a filter for change.
yes its on top ..close to baterie...
@@bobbymakedonski9190 Eh? I doubt it mate, this is an A5 and the battery is in the spare wheel well!
@@bobbymakedonski9190 I think you are referring to the engine oil filter
The company that made these cars are brain dead ... why not just make it simple & easy to change vehicle oil🤦🏻♂️
Audi shops gotta make money also
They don’t want people working on cars anymore
I teach shop, we try to to get kids to do oil change, tire rotation, etc
the old cvt fluid doesn't look right
It's a good job we changed it then. Customer had been told it had been done before they bought it, no proof though.
Your volumes way too low to hear what you're saying
Apologies, an error made when recording the voiceover.
Pleas dont buy Audi. Its a poop not a car
I’ve only had 2, first one master cylinder popped at 39k. It’s a fallacy that German cars are reliable, especially VAG cars.
I have a 2012 A4 2lt tdi. It has the multitronic transmission. Change the engine oil and filter every 7 to 8 thousand miles. Changed the gearbox oil at 39 000 miles and just recently again at 80 000. I have never had any issues with mine and the car is running like a dream.
@@thepub245 same, 2011 and at 115k miles and totally fine. Germans do diesels as good as any.
