    Diggin the looks of that forest and the way you processed the greens. Really makes them pop. Nice work Brian

      Thanks Tim! The polarizer really made them look incredibly bright after the rain. Cool scene to see in a different season!

    What great greens. Great eye to use the stream’s curve to guide us through the early spring color.

      Thanks Jim! I’d been looking for the right time to photograph this scene for a while. Glad the conditions finally worked out

    I enjoyed the video, Brian! I love to see the lushness of the greens at a location. Your photographs were fantastic. I really appreciated hearing your thought processes about the photos.

      Thanks Walter! These were definitely some spots I had been waiting for conditions to develop for a while, so it felt great to share the thought process and many months of observation while waiting for the right moment. Glad you enjoyed it, and thanks as always for stopping by and watching/commenting!

    Another high-quality video Brian. A totally agree with a little fog around the tree stump image and you might have something really special. And those vibrant greens....Awesome

      Thank you Graeme! I'm definitely looking forward to the day when conditions align for that scene. It's so interesting, but still waiting for the right moment. The greens were excellent - just emerged a few days before and they were glowing after days of rain. Thanks as always for stopping by and commenting! Your latest video of Mt. Rainier really made me want to plan a PNW trip.

    It’s such a calming colour green and what a difference from the winter scenes here as the woodland becomes so vibrant Brian. Love the way you picked out selected areas and especially the saplings and that elusive shot would look great in the mist or fog !! Woodland is such a challenging genre but fun all the same and I enjoyed the film as always :)

      Thank you Andrew! It was fun to see just how different certain scenes worked after just a month of new conditions. The same parts of the trail I photographed in my early spring video would not have worked, and vice versa. Still hoping for that elusive morning mist though! Thanks as always for watching Andrew!

    I just love the vibrant greens of spring and wow what conditions you had. Loved that opening image Brian, those greens really popped off the screen. I think the 2nd image worked well but can undertsand you wanting to try it with a misty background. Wonderful place for a hike.. very enjoyable. atb Alan

      Thanks Alan! It was such a dramatic change from just a few months ago. The greens almost look too saturated they were so bright. That second scene is still a struggle because it has a lot of potential, just never works out. Thanks as always for watching Alan!

      Thanks Scott, it was great going to a familiar spot to start the trip. The next two in the series are new locations, and there's definitely something to be said for getting better photos in a fresh location!

    Some fog or dramatic light rays would be awesome for the photo you're still trying to get the right conditions for. Such a peaceful video! Nice job!

      @@brianbeattyphotography it's interesting how some scenes just require certain conditions to really shine.

    Pleasant video, nice work. Does that trail have a name? Also, Gregory Crewdson brings his own fog ;)

    • @brianbeattyphotography
      @brianbeattyphotography  3 года назад

      Thanks John! The trail name is just a generic State Gamelands # I believe, I don't remember which. I'd love to "add" some fog haha, but I doubt my photoshop skills would be adequate enough and I tend to prefer the natural scene vs. "enhanced" haha. I was hoping for fog in the valley since the lake I hiked by at the start was churning off a ton of fog, but oh well. Next time.
