Great vids man, just found you, thank you for posting! It seems like you are using a taller gear on the KTM compared to the YZ250F video. Do you feel that the KTM allows you to lug it around better?
Good question: Honestly, I think you can lug the YZ250F around better than the 250SX-F. The KTM has more grunt and midrange than before (2019-2022 platforms), but is still a mid/top rev motor. The YZ250F is much more versatile down low and has a more usable character. The KTM is faster (HP), but the YZ250F is easier to ride if that makes sense. Cheers
Hey posted on your YZ video but how do you feel the YZ450 will do in the mountains on the smoothest mapping setting or in general? I picked one up and the mapping app is a big reason why hoping I can make the bike a solid all in one
Similar sounding with lots of shared DNA, yes, but the SX-F has a 5-speed gearbox while the XC-F has a 6-speed for faster off-road riding/racing...May sound a touch different depending on gear selection and how hard the 19" versus 18" maintains traction, but very very similar indeed. Not sure on ECU settings between the two, but they are almost brothers in my opinion
@@CasMoto The ecu is exactly the same and ktm says the xcf is just a off-road version of the sxf. But I'm just wondering about the revs. Standing still but can you maybe watch a video it's called 2023 ktm launch pt1 it's by vurbmoto. And he starts revving the 250sxf at 3:25 I believe but it ends at like something in the 4 minutes mark. And let me know if the xcf sounds the same. Tyy❤
On the dyno, yes, but the rideability and freer revving favors the CRF. Lap to lap I was a touch faster on the Honda, even though it handles much sharper than the KTM. Both good bikes, just need some fine tuning to make either perfect for varying riders. Cheers

Lots of options to program and change characteristics in the Yamaha Power Tuner app; test a few and find what works best for you!
This sxf and xcf revs sound exactly the same??

@@CasMotoso the standing still revving is the same sound? And not like the Exc
faster than honda?
Yep
