- This week on Ride With Me, we’re headed down to Richmond, Virginia to get a haunted, gore-filled tour from an intergalactic metal band, GWAR. Come along for the ride as GWAR guides us through their home on earth, and even get to spend some time with the lord and masters themselves at their very own GWARbar. It all wouldn’t be complete without some violence, ghosts, and even murder. This is GWAR’s Richmond.
In our new RUclips series, Ride With Me, we’ll show our audience how to experience neighborhoods through the eyes of our favorite celebrities and personalities. From their favorite slice shop to ease a hangover at 3am to their absolute go-to spot for unplugging from the world, our celebs will Zoom in and guide our host through their favorite neighborhood. And this is more than just a list of recommendations- we want to hear the stories that make these spots truly special. After we hang up, our host will spend the day riding around to see first hand all the magical elements that come together to make their neighborhood special to them. Enjoy the ride.

Belle Isle is my old stomping grounds. Used to take my dog out there for some long ass walks when I was a Texas girl living in Richmond. I always felt this super calm but heavy vibe, hard to explain. As far as metal... Hell yeah GWAR!
I've been to the Gwarbar 3 times! Drive all the way from Georgia. Totally worth the drive. Oderus' grave is also worth a visit.

I’ve been to all of these places. I’ve come all the way from Massachusetts to visit these guys. I also remember talking to the late great Dave Brockie about GWAR sex toys I shit you not I hope that part is true 😂
it's a real shithole but worth going through to get to Gwarbar. Been there many times and the food is INCREDIBLE. Especially their brunch on the weekends.

It ain’t that bad. Lived there for too long. I can’t say anywhere is relatively safe, just pay attention and have situational awareness.
