This song was actually written by Perri and David Hodges for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1, which was used as a wedding song. The song was released as a digital download on October 18, 2011, worldwide, and serves as the second single for the movie.

The song actually describes a wedding, the first verse from the bride's viewpoint (one step closer as she proceeds, then her doubts melting as she sees him), the second from the groom.
I think Arms is her best. But I'd suggest evergone, the single she did last year about grief. She wrote it after her baby was stillborn.

This is one of my all time favourite songs. So beautiful and her vocals are just perfection. I highly recommend listening to Human, Something About December and her lullaby version A Thousand Years. She has so many good ones too.
