My dad would always say “time is going so fast I’ll be giving you away at your wedding before long” He didn’t give me away as he died when I was 16 😢 This is such a beautiful song and I’m almost 56 years old and still love Twilight 🤭 xx

My son just found the love of his life at the age of 36 about 2 years ago. He always said he didn’t want children and didn’t know if he’d ever get married and now, two years later, they have a beautiful baby boy and will be marrying in the next few months. I love this song. It is so beautiful and has brought many (happy) tears to my eye. Yes, this was attached to the Twilight films, specifically the last one, Breaking Dawn part 2. Those were a guilty pleasure back in the day but this song transcends them.

Christina Perri is new to me. Very nice, thanks for sharing. Also, and yes heart-rending emotional music done in a major key. Not that easy:), but like you said you could tell it would be a tearjerker right from the first few chords on the piano :)
Christina is practically a religion for me. She is a wonderful singer-songwriter and a better person. Some suggestions: Arms is my favorite, The Words probably the most beautiful. Her newest single is Evergone, very emotional about grief after her baby was stillborn.

This was the main song of the last 2 'Twilight' movies - 'Breaking Dawn' Pt. 1 & 2... it perfectly captured the love & romance between the 2 characters - a century-old vampire and a mortal teenage girl, who finally reached a happy union after heartbreak and betrayal and disappointment... I know the movies (and books) get a lot of crap, but I enjoyed reading the story. There was a reason it sold so many copies (all 4 books) because people loved the characters and wanted to see them have a happy ending... even the wolf who got rejected finally got his soulmate in an unusual way...
But the story is about Bella and Edward... I'm not the biggest fan of romance novels, but the story was very well told. U felt for Edward, u related to Bella, and even admired Jacob... and there were plenty of characters that were so compelling - The Cullen family, Seth Clearwater, Billy Black, Charlie Swan, etc.

I was OK until you said I miss my Father. I lost my own Father in August and his first birthday since he died is coming up, and it just set me off. 😭
