This song was written as a tribute to the late Paul Walker, who tragically died in a car accident during the filming of Fast & Furious 7(the accident occured while Paul was leaving a charity event unrelated to the movie), which was delayed so that the ending could be changed and additional scenes could be filmed using CGI and Paul's younger brother Cody. It's a beautiful song and a wonderful tribute.

Your response was 100% correct. This was the whole cast of F&F saying goodbye to their brother. He died horribly in a car crash and left behind fairly young children who have been "adopted" by the rest of the cast in his honor. Paul Walker was not a perfect man but he did not deserve to go out the way he did. This song is about saying goodbye. Tears are very logical

I played this song on Facebook as a tribute for my mom who died this year from complications from diabetes. She was 46. Even though it’s meant for Paul but I thought it’s appropriate because the lyrics are so true. I believe I will see my mother again in another life. I firmly believe in an afterlife or next life type of thing. I don’t think we just die. Something happens but I don’t know what it is. I mean, how do you think our brains and hearts work? Electricity. So we are full of energy and it never stops after our bodies retire.
I thank god for granting my mom merciful death because she just went, no real suffering I don’t think. But I’ll never forget her eyes as I watched. It’s something that I will never forget till I die.

This song always makes me cry. Because i had a friend back in highschool that was one of my closest friends. He always watched out for me, he always were there for me through everything. We were like paul walker and vin diesel we had a brotherly bond because how tight our friendship was through 3 years.
He passed away in 2014 due to a horrible accident while i attended soft more year at college😭😭😭😭.

It's alright to cry during this song darlin. They are making the tenth movie now. And he died before filming that scene where they drive in separate directions. His younger brother played the part for it and movie magic covered the rest. You should watch the movies though. They are great and Paul walker was a hell of a human being.

He died because of car crash , but one thing that I didn't forget this man is that he is my favorite actor and he did a good Samaritan heart , that night he will go to the Philippines, which is my country , just give some food etc with the Yolanda victims in leyte Philippines.. Charlie puth wrote this song for his buddy who past and while he was writing it the fast and furious director at the time asked him to use the song for Brian o conner who is Brian in the franchise and it almost didn’t get added to the movie as well because it was so close to the end of the movie production

This song still hits home all these years later. You should probably watch part one first, then skip ahead to part seven, it'll give you a better understanding of what's going on in Furious 7, notably how everything transpired with Walker's character, in addition to who he's married to in the movie. All of them are decent flicks, part one is probably still the best, subjective of course, but it's one you should get around to seeing eventually.
