Christina Perri is an amazing artist and person. Her career was a true Cinderella story, going from waitress to multi-platinum star very quickly. She was completely unknown when her song Jar Of Hearts was played on So You Think You Can Dance and it blew up overnight and had multiple labels reaching out to her overnight. Her best friend was a dancer on the show and pitched the song to the folks who ran it.
If you want to check out more of her, Arms is still her best, I think (and it has a great video). For something more powerful, she wrote a grief song called evergone after suffering a miscarriage and stillbirth 10 months apart in 2020.
Not country. She wrote this song for the Twilight movie. A lot of people play it at their wedding now.
The song was released in 2011. I have not heard probably since then. It is a beautiful song though. Thanks!
