Quite simply, the atmosphere at a football match is the fans. Whatever club you support the working class (loudest) is being frozen out. Ticket prices represent a small percentage of the total income.
Have to agree with Sam. People weren’t complaining even when loads of poorer fans were priced out. If the tickets don’t sell, then they are priced too high. If they all do, then market forces and all…
People keep using Newcastle as an example, but Newcastle charge more for their season ticket, sell more season tickets, and will also sell more UCL tickets. Their average matchday income is higher than Villa's. Also the "it wont make a difference," well, Everton got done last season for I believe a £17m breach, how much are just those 4 games gonna bring in extra for Villa? I just think every little helps. Finnally, I agree, these are very high prices BUT seems like people would have been ok with a package deal and Rich even brings this up with "£85 top price and then £20 off for the 4 games." Now I dont know if he meant £20 off per ticket or the whole but lets say per ticket. So thats £65 per or £260 for all 4 games, and people would have been ok with this? People could have afforded £260? Well that still 3 out of the 4 games at the current pricing, so just pick 3 and go. The more I hear about this the more I feel like the main complaint (and remember I agree that the prices are high) is that ST holders are annoyed that they cant possibly go to every single game and might have to give someone else a go.
ramsey duran amado and rodgers look like they like each other and thats important,, duran is worthy of a start but olly needs to start if he can,,, olly could be on four goals so the movement and anticipation is there but he looks a bit laboured and cant finish it can change very quickly..... and maby starting duran for 60 gives olly a rest mentally and then bring him on, and olly was really overplayed last season and we need to rotate anyway and the next few games are better games to blood duran,,,, he looked good as a hold up forward against west ham so he is getting better and davis was one of the best ive seen at winning and holding a ball up and linking play,,, injuries really killed any progression for him
Say it’s £15 in excess of being reasonable, that’s approx 1/2 million per home game, not worth the alienation this has caused. Furthermore, this will evaporate as supporters make savings elsewhere. As for PSR, last year we did not have the cash cow of the CL, so there’s 30 - 50 million extra. Along with Sam, the club has got the balance with this one wrong.
As a 1 off ticket price maybe, to get those that only intend on going to 1 of the 4 games on that higher price, but a family discount for season ticket holders & a 2 or more matches discount on the prices would have been a better way rather than the current pricing.
Am-a-dou-dou-dou fifty million down the loo, Am-a-dou-dou-dou up the Villa f**k the Blues, to the left to the right we will sing this song all night, Am-a-dou-dou-dou cos the Blues are f**king sh*te ... best I could do.
Don’t piss your money up the wall by buying so much stuff like so many beers and stuff from vendors in out the ground or in the shops for a few weeks, people live on takeaways but never complain 🤷♂️
Not really true. Being a supporter is not like buying a can of baked beans, u pay your money & take your choice. I cannot be a Bluenose because the price is cheaper.
I absolutely detest Agadoo the song! So don't want to hear the Amadou remix. I much prefer: "Oh na na, what's his name, Oh na na, not Andre, Oh na na, what's his name, AMADOU, AMADOU!"

I'm sorry but what the hell is Sam on?? Talking crap! I got a family of 4 and I definitely cannot afford these ticket prices! Kevin talking sense
I’d love to hear Sam’s thoughts on the Disabled Parking debacle - is that SCR related as well !!

I called Youri Tielemans player of the season, so far so good. Agree with Rich, he is a better fit for Emery’s system (over Luiz).
I totally get it, the prices are ridiculous and too high. But please show me a Villa fan that Will NOT pay the price.! ...... exactly we all will
We can debate ticket prices all we like but if those tickets sell out then the argument is ended.

Well said Sam, you are right it's all about PSR
no its all about trying to bring an American system to Birmingham
Unless Villa build a new stadium it’s never going up a lot can’t have it both ways, thought small for too long
Sam is utterly clueless on this topic. You can’t just blindly defend everything the club does out of loyalty.

free market capitalists have no right to complain, this is what you asked for
