This great dance tune went to #1 on billboard's dance chart and #8 on billboard R&B chart, written by Hawk Wolinski of Rufus who also co-wrote "Do you love what you feel" & "Ain't Nobody" featuring Chaka Khan..I own the vinyl extended version, the instrumentation alone is amazing , Stephanie's vocals are orgasmic! "The Medicine Song" is taken from her album "I've got the cure".

This is one I’ve been waiting for!!! The music video was so fun but fierce and Stephanie’s looks were 🔥🔥🔥and her vocals turned a song that could have been just a song to a vocal challenging dance banger!. I love and always look forward to your reactions 💜

I love this song too Gerald; or is it Jerald? I remember when it first came out in 1984. I was a huge Stephanie Mills fan and saw her live about 3 times. This wasn't one of her biggest hits but I loved it!!
The song was remixed listen to the remix version. And in that day the gay clubs were wearing this out.
