Yet another reminder how gamechanging this album was, that fucking beetle man, we all remember and look up to that beetle.
Thank you. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
My God, only 9k subscribers? you deserve more subs bro for this kind of quality. top cover.
Bro, this whole album is the soundtrack to my highschool years. Thank you so much for making this incredible album. Super cool to see you play through these songs. All the best :)
Same here! I listened to this album multiple times throughout high school!
Thank you for supporting me. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Same here too!, the screamo years... man, i miss them...
@@Beau.Burchell thank you for bringing back so many awesome memories! subbed!
I was going to same the exact same thing! It transported me back right to that time and brought back all of the best memories. To this day Saosin is the most special band in my life.
30 years old. Now I remember back to high school, saison was my top 1 iPod band
So much memories thank you doing this
its not even funny how nothing has preceded
31 here same
I never comment, but I must state that this song (and album) is quite possibly the best, most balanced, professional mix and sound I have ever heard.
Credit to the mix master. CLA. And thank you for commenting. 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Just following up here to agree to this comment, as I am a music producer. Even back then, this Album just had something all other artists were missing. It was and still is so damn crispy
Beau? does Alex have a channel? id love to see his crazy ass drumming to all these songs. hehe if not you need to tell him to make a drumming channel. haha that be fucking bad ass, man! yup
I know man. I want him to do it. But he hates having the spotlight on him. 🤷🏻♂️
@@Beau.Burchell well, shit. haha
@@Beau.Burchell wow, that explains why it's very difficult to find anything about him on youtube
@@Beau.Burchell Such humbleness,
but he must !
For the sake of holding the entire world of the drumming community together! lol
@@Beau.Burchell im sad to hear that
Saosin's music still fresh, it's timeless
Is it just me or does nobody play guitar like this anymore? The riffs tell a story even before the vocals come in.
Thank you. I’ve always tried to write riffs that set a mood and emotion of the song.
@@Beau.Burchell Well, you definitely achieved that :)
I have now found my body’s worth. Thanks beau! Long live saosin!
🤣🤣🤣 we used to always joke “where is my body wash”
@@Beau.Burchell we all know that joke.
Bury Your Head was one of the first songs that got me into any sort of heavier rock, and still after listening to it for so many years, the bridge to the last chorus always forces me to focus on the song if i'm distracted haha, it's just so gripping. The drumming still holds up today it's insane. So many quality fills, they aren't there just for the sake of it.
Along the Shadow was also incredible and I really really hope another album comes out soon. pls beau.
The riff after the solo is my favorite riff of all time. I love this album so much!!
we all do
without this album, my junior high school days would never be the most memorable moment. thank you for every riff and every tones you pour in there. this is truly a masterpiece!
I always knew the guitar work on this album was super technical but... now that I am actually seeing these playthroughs... The guitar parts were ahead of their time in a way! super awesome! brings me back to high school!!!
i listened to this album nearly every day driving to high school my junior year lol still listen to it pretty regularly. i don't know if you pay attention to the comments, but you guys were a huge part of why i got into playing music myself. thanks, my man.
Thank you. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Mate! This back to back with Sleepers.
Every single time! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
This is the best one so far in terms of camera angles/cuts not getting in the way - thanks man! I still can't get over how ergonomic your picking hand is
Thanks man! I think I’m finally figuring out how to make a video that isn’t embarrassingly bad 🤣🤣
Man props to the band, Howard Benson, and the entire production team for such a good album that has stood the test of time
Man.. i still listen to this album until now. Thanks for the great music
STILL one of my favorite songs! The feel of it is perfect!! As a guitar player I have to say this song (the whole album really) has inspired so many riffs!! I’m still working on getting that exact delay and echo for this song to sound just right…
Thank you!!! It’s simply a digital dotted 8th note. 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Hey can you run through this whole album and do a play through?? I love this whole album and would love to see it!! Also you’re a sick guitarist and so talented!!
Thanks! Ya that’s the plan!
@@Beau.Burchell and please bring alex too.
The literal scene goat. Thank you so much for existing. Your band completely changed my life and now getting to learn production from your twitch streams has changed it again. Thank you sir.
I love the guitar work on Saosin
Thank you :)
Nostaligia feels! Cracking album and I'm sure if I heard it for the firs time today I'd agree with my younger self. Love to see the actual artist play along!
Thank you very much. 🙏🏼🙏🏼
I love seeing this. It's so cool to see how the song is played and how good you have to be to play Saosin's fast and complex guitar parts😂
Been waiting on this play through! Thanks Beau! You rule dude 👊
Please make more sir. I love saosin so much. This band is one of a kind. So unique. Please stay healthy and keep creative.
So many memories to this song. You guys are the last band I've yet to see off my original list from high school. Maybe some day!
got to see them right after they picked up cove. played a frat party at ucla. amazing tone live and cove wasn't even old enough to drink yet! lol
I always miss out on those shows they do in California. Little out of my travel distance. Maybe they'll make it to Seattle some day.
@@bKoelle689 oh dang! yeah, man, I grew up in LA so that was easy in the early 2000's to see them. i moved to Oly in 2009! hello, fellow washingtonian! o/
@@etsd311 Cheer's dude! I'm on the east side so a trip to Seattle for a show is never an issue. But California required more planning, could never time it out right before they would sell out.
the drums and guitar work in Saosin have always been criminally underrated
One of my favorite intro tracks to one of my favorite albums. Love when you post these. Guitar looks sick too!
This is one of my favorite albums of all time, FR, so underrated honestly, I wish you had a playthrough for Follow and Feel
Soon.
I've been waiting for your next video and here it is!! Keep making em please!!
Always waiting buche performance....awesome finger
Here after seeing you guys in Philly. It was awesome to hear the songs live, self titled was MY translating the name
One of the greatest albums ever. You were the soundtrack to my teenage years thank you so much.
This album is flawless, I really hope you guys can play it in full one day.
Legend. My favorite Saosin song!
Finally, one of my most favorite songs! Really glad you done this, there's nothing better for us musician to see the artists themselves do the "official" play through of their songs. Cheers from Indonesia, man!
I never realized, till you did the collapse playthrough*. How technical you're playing is.
Ps. im still trying to learn collapse 🤘
goddamn the way you play is so unique it's so good
Im grow up with emo scene. Now im 29yo, I miss Saosin era.
yeah bro. me too
You can't be 29 and have grown up in the emo era..
@@coppiggy26 im 14 when emo in a gold era
me too bro, do not worry. emo's not dead - END
Me too .. im grow up with EMO
thanks for playing flawlessly in Jakarta yesterday!! its my dream come true!!
I remember being on my early 20's thinking about how these guys came up with the idea of combining this kind of guitar playing style, that I think has a heavy metal sound, with soft and melodic vocals. I'm just happy they did that. I don't know if there were any other band before them, but for me, they were the band that made me feel amazed about that mix of sounds.
Imagine being in an american band and don't have a clue that you're impacting that way a latin american dude living in Perú.
Stay safe.
That is so cool to hear. Thank you! I always thought we were a hardcore Bjork. Or Swedish metal emo. Thank you for your support.
@@Beau.Burchell It's also cool that you take a minute to respond some comments. Saosin is one of my all time favorite bands, and the sound of your guitar playing is one of the reasons of it. Sadly, this music genre is not big in my country, so unless someday I go to USA, is probably I would never going to be able to see you guys playing live. I'm going to take your response as an autograph in my "Saosin" (2006) CD Copy.
Thanks, Beau and the rest of the band for the amazing music and the happiness it brings to me.
José
(PD: I have never really pay attention to Bjork's work. I'm listening her right now, and I can see why you said that. WOW)
Beau IS saosin . The sounds the concept the writing. This is the brains behind the band. Amazing talent.
thank you.
🤘My favorite band 'saosin'.. keep uploading sir
Excellent. Love this song. Excellent album.
Damn, sick playing, would be great to see more. I still jam this album, it's a classic
Thanks for posting these, please keep them coming
Wooohhhhh love this man. Bring so much memories ! Do some cove era song more playthru ! ♥️🤘
Self Titled is still my favorite guitar album of all time, the riffs are amazing.
Hell yeah! I didn't know you had a channel Beau. Stoked on this discovery.
Nothing hits like nostalgia. This is one of my favorite songs from you guys. Nice video!
SUBSCRIBED!!!
Yes!!!!! You're awesome for making these for us!!!
BURY YOUR HEAD PLEASE?! :D favorite song ever!!! THANK YOU
The best thing to happen for me this week
He’ll yeah dude! Stoked to see you have a RUclips channel!
Absolutely love this song.
Beau,
This album is still my all time favorite. There's nothing that compares to hearing it for the first time. I just remember saying to myself there's nothing that comes close to this and it is still true today. Question how does it feel to have been a major influence for newer bands like Erra? Any chance of a collaboration? Additionally, is Saosin working on anything new?
It's really cool to hear bands like Erra. I produced their album NEON. I really like Erra a ton and they are awesome dudes as well. Everyone in that band is soooooo talented.
I can't get enough of this album. Thank you (and the rest of the band) for making such awesome music. I bought the book from Sheet Happens for this album. Guitar pro files are great and all but I learn a lot better from visuals and watching you do a close up run through of this song has really helped get a better understanding for each section.
EDIT: wait. the sheet happens book has a completely different intro/verse than what's being played here and doesnt really sound right?..
This is awesome, glad I found your channel!!!
This and collapse are my favorite tracks from the record. Really wanted to learn how to play both songs back in the day, but finding a tab, let alone an accurate one 15 years ago wasnt easy.
Mind sharing the tuning on it's far better to learn??
I know you want people to head over and buy the tab book, but figured it wouldnt hurt to ask.
Of course! The tab book helps support us. Most of our songs are in d standard. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
@@Beau.Burchell awesome, i assumed d standard, thank you!
Cant wait for your next playthrough!!
This song and also translating the name in the album make me love saosin so much
I was listening to the 2016 album today, hope for more someday 👍🏼
Awesome track, Beau! Nice play though, brother. Beautiful ax! Best wishes from Point Panic!
such a beautiful song :')
Iconic album. Love to see this
Keep practicing Beau, you'll get there one day!
This is so sick man. I love it
Nice vid and killer mix as always Mr.Burchell!
Awesome man, keep them coming! If you can do “Lost Symphonies” or “No Angel” I would flip!
I second this.
I still listen to this album regularly. So many feels man. I was in the process of learning a bunch of this albums songs on guitar but all your guys stuff got pulled from songster so this is awesome and super helpful man thanks!
That is awesome to hear you are learning so many songs! Thank you! What is songster?
@@Beau.Burchell Songsterr is a free tab site with the midi tracks and tabs for every instrument like ultimate guitar pro. It said your guys stuff was removed due to copyright but that they were trying to secure a license, now you guys don't even come up in the search. 😔
@@krispyasfk2567 Interesting. I think all the labels are cracking down on that stuff. When I upload these play through videos I instantly get a copyright strike. I even tried to fight it showing my publishing information that I am the writer of the music. But the big labels always win.
@@Beau.Burchellwoah that’s crazy
Think i ended up transcribing it pretty close for my cover! Ripped it love you lads !🤘🏼❤️
Awesome!!!!!
Best sounding post hardcore album ever made hands down 🙌
Hell yeah. I love their sound because they lean more on the hard rock and emotional hardcore compared to today's post hardcore bands that leans on metalcore and are composed of breakdowns.
More of this please!
still get chills from this song
Anyone here excited for Translating The Name Vinyl?
Where can I find it??
Yesss absolute fukin yes!
@@Bilsuburbians don’t be a turd, link me!

This album stayed in my car for like 2 years lol
I'm a new fan of saosin, glad found this band though i'm a decade and a half late haha
Thank you very much. I'm glad you are enjoying them as much as I am enjoying creating them. Thank you for your support!
Oh myy.. thank you for your response sir! Subscribed here as well 🙌
@@powpow7255 much appreciated.

Alright Beau, what's your signal chain for this one COS I WANT IT
Still one of my heroes. Rest In Peace Bean.........if you meet MY Bean on the other side of the rainbow bridge let him know I’m still missing him.
been a fan since 14, and the white ep. still some of my fav music to listen to loud as fuck in the car.
my favourite track until the end of me, thank u saosin \m/
Oo i miss saosin..
if someone asks me.. what is the best album ever?.. i proudly say This album is #1 for me. perfect album not gonna lie.. after that breakdown of sanity album followed close at the 2nd.. with the same perfect album type in their 3 albums
Guess I'll learn by watching this, as either the band or record company has had all the major tab sites pull the tabs 😞
Perform as much as you can as you have bags of potential. 👌
Nice sound 💥
Beau and Justin deserve so much credit for shaping post-hardcore in 2003.
bro. this is the shit!!!!
upload every week please. just share whatever u want to share with us.
Awesome dude
This song/album made my deployment in Iraq back in 2006 less shitty ❤️
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Thanks dad
Classic, thank you!
Holy shit dude. I love playing this song. Apparently I don't play it quite right but whatever. I'm here to ask you to please do something and the urge to control. I'm loving that song right now and would love to be able to learn it correctly.
I’ll do it soon. I’m slammed with mixing records right now so I have like zero time. But I will do that song. That one is fun!
@@Beau.Burchell I can't believe you comment back on shit like this but its frickin awesome. The one really fast tremble picking part is sweet and makes me want to play it.
Damn, You still my fav !!!
Such a ground breaking sounds for its era. Legendary.
Hi Beau! Is there going to be a Translating The Name EP Complete Guitar Transcription? That would be great! Love from the Philippines.
Finding Home had one of the best verses and prechoruses too
