I used to sneak out, drink bad alcohol, kiss white girls who tasted like cigarettes and had really low cut jean shorts on in the summer. To saosin.. it was sweaty, perfumy, and drug/alcohol fueled fun.. I'll never forget..
Saosin’s music opened the gates of emo and emotive music in general for me. Such a massive, massive influence on me and many many other musicians I’ve worked with. Between Beau’s writing and Anthony’s vocal. The bands’ talent and energy. Just such a massive force of feeling played through a giant wall of epic sound. Still giving off vibes and writing parts most bands could only ever dream of. Keep up this important work Beau.
Same here. I was like 12-14 when I heard this song and it changed everything about what I knew musically. I was in awe that someone's voice could so unique and full of emotion. Oh what a time
Hard to believe it's been 17 years since I first heard Saosin, loving this remaster. What I would give to hear a fully remastered Translating the Name...
A re-recorded translating the name. It’s already a masterpiece, but it would be so badass to hear them do it again 21 years later If I can’t get the whole album, how about just lost symphonies Beau??
I will always remember the first time I heard this...back in middle school in 2005 or 2006 on a school computer...thank you Saosin for so many good memories!
I don't think this will ever not be one of my favorite choruses ever. I don't listen to this kind of music anymore, but any time this song comes on in my car I turn that up and blast it.
Love this. Map props to Alex for the drums as well. I've always loved the fill he added towards the end of the intro over the years. His drums complete me. Haha! Thanks for this Beau, this song needed this for sure.
Legends. Literally one of my favourite bands of all time. And this song still hits exactly how it did when I first heard it what feels like a lifetime ago. Incredible song.
Beau you are the man!!! Saosin has gotten me through very tough years growing up and still years later I’m listening to your amazing music. Please keep writing you guys are amazing!!!
Anthony’s version of these vocals is just sooo gooooood. This is easily one of my favorite Saosin songs and I’ve unfortunately misplaced my MP3 of the original demo and the Cove Reber version on Spotify just doesn’t cut it. So thanks for doing this, watching you play it is awesome.
So much nostalgia. I started playing your stuff again in the car years ago and my oldest son would always make me sing this song at bed. I'm not a good singer haha
Used to be my fav song when I was 16, a exchange student in San Diego. I remember a bus stop, or a bench, somewhere in Point Loma with a huge "SAOSIN" on it. Good days...
Absolute belter, you guys were onto something well beyond any other band in the international “hardcore scene” at that time. Sick riffs and clean asf playing!
Straight banger, and it's from 17 years ago Now if only I could convince you guys to come back to ATL! If I didn't have this pesky thing called a full-time job, I'd fly to Cali and Spiderman from the ceiling if I had to just to see you guys again!
@@Beau.Burchell I will be there rain or shine. Small story: I was on the bus riding home from school in 2003. Friend of mine started talking to me about what bands I was into. I told him some basic pop punk stuff, but said "I like this song Coheed and Cambria did (A Favor House Atlantic), the dude's voice is awesome!" My friend said "Dude if you like that, then you should listen to this band Saosin." Listened once and I was hooked. I then spent the next few years doing everything broke teenage me could do to see you guys, and finally caught you at Projekt Revolution here in ATL. I've been going to every show I could ever since!
Thank _you_, Beau. This is amazing. It's so rare to see someone have such respect and affection for their old material, we can truly see how much you love Saosin as a whole. That's really admirable.
Beau , you’ve made some music that has actually been a huge part of my life . The guitar riffs are so memorable . Saosin’s music has meant a lot to me , the soundtrack to some of my best days . Thank u , ur a real one
Saosin, one of my major influences as a vocalist and as a musician in general. Keep at it with these playthrough videos, I'd like to see one for On My Own, which was the song I listened to when I discovered Saosin!
Unreal. Am I 17 again? It’s amazing to hear Anthony’s old vocals so clearly. This whole thing is amazing
Thank you so much.. Ya, his vocal is pure magic on this.
No thank you! Hearing the old vox with your current rig is awesome!

Saosin is truly one of a kind. Serious technical skill in a genre that is very emotive
