I watched the fight, and it was awesome. Michelle is one of the toughest athletics around given that she tackled some of the toughest professions around, so all round, she is a professional and well trained in so many physical & psychological disciplines (parkour, swimming, marathon, cycling, military training, secret service, plus chess, skating...goddess, she's a super woman), she's about as tough without being a professional boxer. Going against her is tough. You have lots to give yourself credit for doing as well as you did, so there's everything to be proud of. If you enjoy doing it, I'd say go for what you enjoy. Everything to be proud of what you accomplish, plus you broke her beautiful nose)...Stay awesome.

Michelle trained for 12 weeks, had a 6-month break from boxing, and once the fight was set up she had another 8-week training camp. That ain't a year. Still, as someone who is an amateur boxer with over a decade of experience, I have probably never seen someone be this crisp and technically sound after such a short time. Michelle's overall athleticism definitely helped her out a lot, and, damn, her mind games were on point. There ain't many people who can hold a stare down like that.

Well. I couldn't disagree with Kevins comment any less. She never kept her right hand up in a guarded position, thats why she was open to the jab the whole fight. Her foot work was much to be desired. I boxed for years as well. We would work timed rounds doing nothing but footwork. One of the first things you learn also is to keep your guard up. Those are basic things. She looked exactly like someone who had worked two months for a celebrity fight, far from someone who had trained for years. I think Kevin was more looking to give complements other than factual breakdowns. Which I totally understand as well. Andrea could make cleaning dirty ashtrays look great.

My takeaway is actually that If Andrea was LESS aggressive, she might have done better with NO extra training simply by counterpunching only, and picking her shots more. Sometimes LESS is better. The fact that she broke her nose means this could have been a kickass strat and Andrea would not have been as tired, hitting harder and with more accuracy could have turned the tide.
