At some point I was yelling at my phone: “GET HER OUT! GET HER OUT!” When she started panicking like that and got even angrier when nobody did anything about it… And yet she did it. Jesus, Michelle! @@j_a.0definitely, the “cut it” neck sign was used in rehearsal as her signal she wasn’t okay and needed out, not to mention the lid seems to just sit on top for easy outside removal in case of her going unconscious, they could get her out in a few seconds. part of dangerous performances is letting the danger happen and only calling it when absolutely necessary! and i don’t know how much of it was happening here, but many people who do these style of tricks amp up the fear factor by “panicking” or saying their breath hold is lower than they really have to make the tension and entertainment value better!
I don't know where you get your determination, how you dedicate yourself so thoroughly, or what motivates you to do the things you do, but I admire you for always throwing yourself into the process completely. You succeed! It is an inspiration to all of your fans. You are simply amazing.

If you don't have the connections or exposure, though, that won't happen, and it becomes much less attractive for people not in that position to decide to do these things (anyway).
The fact that she went over 45 secs past what she had maxed out on just shows that Michelle doesn’t give up until she’s given it her all! I wonder if she was feeling the contractions they had talked about near the beginning. Michelle, you are such an inspiration to others, showing that if you just try your hardest, you can overcome some of your most darkest fears! ❤️
I feel like, she had more time and did it for dramatic effect. Because 45 seconds past the supposed max would be too much imo and she stopped several times and just looked around. Anyone who is truly strugging to breath, only focuses on the task. She waited on purpose to get the last lock down, since she knew she had time (or she felt she had a lot of breath so she built the anticipation by waiting on purpose.) Am not downgrading the achievement. Its really hard. But anyone sane, can tell that the last bits were overdramatized. She wouldn't have been looking around TWICE when her life could've been in danger. It wasn't yet, because she either did it really well, or lied to us about her best time. Its amazing though! Just overdramatized in my opinion. If you don't believe me, rewatch the end. There were moments where she could've been unlocking, yet she waited.
In the video, her best time in the pool was 3 minutes when she’s at her best. Upside down during rehearsal was 2 minutes but pretty sure having to reorient yourself and trying to lower your anxiety requires slowing down. Getting frustrated with being unable to open the lock would’ve just lowered her breath-hold. Needing to lower the heart rate before attempting again is my guess at why she had to pause. It’s amazing what will-power, determination, and mindset can do for you. Am at awe with Michelle’s bravery and willingness to learn.
@@ZalemMoon I feel, like, nobody in their right mind, would be staring at the cameras and looking frightened instead of trying to open the lock. I am guessing she still had a lot of breath inside her, so she tried to make it last as long as she could.
I genuinely almost bursted out crying when she got out. I was SO STRESSED for a while there with the last lock, but she once again proved she can do anything once she sets her mind to it! Honestly you're such an inspiration, Michelle 💙
She did intense professional level breath hold training, learned how to pick and essentially master the art of lock-picking, collab and create a unique contraption with Mark Rober, speak with and learn from masters of their craft, coordinate the production of the show (venue, lighting, poster, hair and makeup, cameras, sound, etc.), act scared while being in a high stress situation, create individualized content for the world and your fans to see, spend a pretty penny, and maintain your personal life. I've been watching Michelle for a while now. This is without a doubt the scariest and the most heart wrenching video that I've ever seen her do. Her best time was 2 minutes, but she lasted 2 minutes 45. I was scared for her, that's the truth. I am so glad that she made it, and I will be waiting in anticipation of what she will do next. As I said in my comment, Michelle is without a doubt RUclipss dare devil. I doubt any other RUclipsr would even attempt this kind of stunt/trick.

I mean, the amount of waivers and liability insurance that needs to happen for something like this is wild so they could never take a chance allowing her to exceed her practice times by that much. It all boils down to safety.

That's a miracle going from a 1 minuet 30 seconds breath hold to almost double at 2 minuets 45 seconds on top of what looks like staged panic and the pressure of a live audience.
I continually am shocked beyond belief at the things Michelle not only tries but succeeds each and every time. What an amazing person to be able to look up to, to try scary things, and put yourself way out of your comfort zone.
The way Michelle pulled through at the end made me think back to the firefighter challenge and made me realize just how much she's improved since then.
Things are quickly going from being brave and stepping out of the comfort zone to being straight up crazy. I don't think the viewers at home understand how difficult breathwork is. What you did is absolutely INSANE, but you had the right team for the job and the determination and self knowledge to get it done! This is probably the most dangerous and physically demanding thing you've done, or anyone has done really, holding your breathe while struggling for over a minute and a half is a very rare thing for anyone to accomplish regardless of how long they train. Absolutely amazing work!
The moments she stopped just to look at the public while being in the tank eyes wide open, was I think planned, but nonless absolutly terrifying! Taking the time to act making it even more dramatic just really shows how much dedication and hard work she put into this to being able to show this amazing performance. After the firsts signs of panick i actually stop breathing and got really scared that no one was gonna free her in time, when she did the impossible my body instantly started to breath and i realised how stressful it must have been for her family. @@j_a.0definitely, the “cut it” neck sign was used in rehearsal as her signal she wasn’t okay and needed out, not to mention the lid seems to just sit on top for easy outside removal in case of her going unconscious, they could get her out in a few seconds. part of dangerous performances is letting the danger happen and only calling it when absolutely necessary! and i don’t know how much of it was happening here, but many people who do these style of tricks amp up the fear factor by “panicking” or saying their breath hold is lower than they really have to make the tension and entertainment value better!

The fact that she went over 45 secs past what she had maxed out on just shows that Michelle doesn’t give up until she’s given it her all! I wonder if she was feeling the contractions they had talked about near the beginning. I feel like, she had more time and did it for dramatic effect. Because 45 seconds past the supposed max would be too much imo and she stopped several times and just looked around. Anyone who is truly strugging to breath, only focuses on the task. She waited on purpose to get the last lock down, since she knew she had time (or she felt she had a lot of breath so she built the anticipation by waiting on purpose.)
Am not downgrading the achievement. Its really hard. But anyone sane, can tell that the last bits were overdramatized. She wouldn't have been looking around TWICE when her life could've been in danger. It wasn't yet, because she either did it really well, or lied to us about her best time.

In the video, her best time in the pool was 3 minutes when she’s at her best. Upside down during rehearsal was 2 minutes but pretty sure having to reorient yourself and trying to lower your anxiety requires slowing down. Getting frustrated with being unable to open the lock would’ve just lowered her breath-hold. Needing to lower the heart rate before attempting again is my guess at why she had to pause. It’s amazing what will-power, determination, and mindset can do for you. Am at awe with Michelle’s bravery and willingness to learn.

I've been watching Michelle for a while now. This is without a doubt the scariest and the most heart wrenching video that I've ever seen her do. Her best time was 2 minutes, but she lasted 2 minutes 45. I was scared for her, that's the truth. I am so glad that she made it, and I will be waiting in anticipation of what she will do next. I mean, the amount of waivers and liability insurance that needs to happen for something like this is wild so they could never take a chance allowing her to exceed her practice times by that much. I don't think the viewers at home understand how difficult breathwork is. What you did is absolutely INSANE, but you had the right team for the job and the determination and self knowledge to get it done! This is probably the most dangerous and physically demanding thing you've done, or anyone has done really, holding your breathe while struggling for over a minute and a half is a very rare thing for anyone to accomplish regardless of how long they train. Absolutely amazing work!

After the firsts signs of panick i actually stop breathing and got really scared that no one was gonna free her in time, when she did the impossible my body instantly started to breath and i realised how stressful it must have been for her family.

I was surprised by the trick and nervous at the end but the fact that you held your breath for almost 3 minutes really surprised probably all of us, it shows that practice makes perfect.
Honestly with the lowering into the tank before the countdown started she probably got to 3 minutes total

Honestly my stomach was clenching during the whole video because I was dreading when Michelle had to do the actual trick, the practices got me! There were SO many points of the video where I was like “No no no I won’t watch the rest of this, this is to much but wait I still really want to see the trick, AHHH!’ (Btw I’m not even done the video this me just having one of those moments.) Can’t wait to see the end I think 😅
