On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.
If you enjoy war thunder or Microsoft flight simulator 2020 or even dogfighting in Battlefield 2042, consider getting yourself into Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics, the Combat side of Aviation with the BVR and Dogfights really provides a different and interesting perspective on aviation. You can fly all kinds of combat aircraft including the F-16, F-15, F-14, JF-17, Su-27, Mig-29, Mirage and the F-18 Hornet along with many other aircraft and helicopters like the Ka-50 and Mi-8.

Did you notice 7:26 when you said "I got him out in front, just ever so slightly" he was actually stacking on you a little, trading a smidge of kinetic for potential, kinda halfway between flat and rolling scissor, so that he could inch back on the reversal behind you? I think you should do a video demonstrating how to exploit oblique maneuvers in evenly matched duels for an inch of edge. Think of all the times you say "use a little bit of vertical." Also talk about SA and how hard it is to see subtle oblique angles when target fixated.

@@potatosuc4950 I don't know bud, my brother was in the Airforce for 16 years as a crew chief on a F16 for the aggressors for red flag. They flew against many different fighters from every country, and according to him they rarely lost. Now the aggressors are some of the best and most experienced pilots in the Airforce, but I don't think any pilot, in any fighter were confident going against the F16 in dog fights.

You're selling yourself short! You're astonishingly good at this 'pilot stuff.' It almost doesn't matter what aircraft you're flying, it's usually a good bet that you'll win whatever dogfight/ fox-2 fight/ BVR fight.

I'm curious about one thing though, what was the idea with stacking on a Viper? That thing has more thrust than it knows what to do with, trying to stall it out is an interesting plan

No idea why, but I find it funny that the plane and sky are well rendered, but the pilots/parachuting kind of janky.

What do you think about making a BFM tutorial video? There is already that one explaining FOX codes, 1 circle and 2, but still i don't really know what to do in some certain situations during dogfight. That would be very helpful from your side :)
Ps. Im pretty curious how did you learn that BFM, manouvers and stuff? Is there any good source of knowledge?
I’ll get back to you with links and stuff, but dog fighting isn’t a see this do that thing, yes their are parts where it is like that, but practice practice practice, I’ll send you a book you can get on Amazon to help learning
Off/Def would really shine if you did it all with the same aircraft I think.... hozabout Eagle/Eagle next, or Flanker/Flanker...really any same aircraft. Planes from the FC3 series would be good since that is where a lot of people start because of the cost.

I’m a Hornet driver in DCS, and don’t ask why it’s hitting me all of a sudden when I’ve seen F-16 videos many times, but man there’s something to be said about not having that canopy bow right in front of you. The unobstructed view is very nice for BFM.
Then again, I can’t complain too much. I love the bow for formation flying, it’s a good visual reference to tell whether your holding station or moving.

A good viper pilot can crush anything in bfm, even other vipers 🤣. And GS makes it look so easy.

"Knock it off". If things get too close, or anyone loses sight of each other, everyone stops the fight.

I'm getting slow because I'm already defensive and I'm trying to cause closure problems, 1 to force the overshoot and also to Jam his WEZ if I'm inside an IR wez (this video was guns only but it could easily be fox2 also)

I don't get it. These are two different models of the F-16?
Its 16C v 16C, the point of the video is to start offensive or defensive and try to win… ie growling is placed into a defensive position and he has to try to win against an equal plane.
