How To Set Snap Fasteners in Leather
We will show you the many ways on 1) how to set snap fasteners in leather, fabric, canvas, and more, as well as 2) how to determine the right snap post size based on your material thickness. Some of the snaps include the Line 24 and Line 20.

It's a rawhide mallet I believe. I think typically you just don't want to use metal on metal.

What mm punch are you using for the L24 snaps?

We were using a 1/8" diameter punch for the Line 24s here.

I want to buy lots of these for my new leathercraft hobby - but none of them give an indication of the min / max leather thicknesses they will comfortably fix through and to.
